While we understand we look the part to your narcissistic eyes, Mr. President, we are not your pigeons. You see us as feathered boobies whose nature is to be dependent on crumbs tossed on the asphalt for us to peck apart and squabble over.

But we are more than that.

We are in fact a force unto ourselves, able to think, to organize without the need for guidance from a community organizer. We even know how to get along with each other–for the most part–without the need for a flash-bang at the front door or a SWAT team to gun us down in our own homes.

This concept is hard for you to believe, isn’t it?

No, not hard…it’s impossible for you to believe.

Barack Hussein Obama, you deny the American exceptionalism that is not only our heritage and our birthright but our key to flight. It is that special gift of living in this greatest nation on God’s green Earth that allows us to soar on high at our own volition.

You don’t like to see us soar. Oh, those special few whose piggy banks get stuffed with pork–there’s a bit of irony–and who can rely on your vicious version of crony capitalism…those folks can fly if they’re not too fat to get off the ground.

The rest of us? You’d clip our wings if you could.

We are not your pigeons, Mr. President. We’re not sitting ducks, either. We the People are in fact wide awake, vigilant bulwarks against the tsunami of socialistic programs you’ve thrown (and continue to throw) against the shores of our unique and precious Constitutional Republic.

At the moment, we’re watching the Republican primary season as it prepares to get under way next week in the Iowa Caucuses.

None of us need to watch you. We know what you’re up to, your Obamacare and Czars and Solyndra, not to mention your refusal to fire Eric Holder outright over the Fast and Furious program. Which you most likely encouraged from the get-go; we get that.

No, there’s no need to watch you with your class warfare and your continual shouts of “Play fair!”…which of course tranlates to, “Roll over and play dead!”.

You, with your apologies and your bowing to foreign potentates, your dissing of Israel, your absolute disregard for the beyond-porous border situation. We know you indeed, to our hopefully short term sorrow.

We watch to see who will be our champion against the forces of the retrograde past, the challenger riding strong against the falsely labeled Progressives who would return us to the Dark Ages when true Liberty was nothing but a gleam in a future rebel’s eye.

We watch.

Mr. President, we are not your pigeons–nor are we intimidated by your multibillion dollar war chest, your de facto ownership of the lamestream media, or even your victory lap following the termination of Osama Bin Laden. Rather, we are readying our flight plans as we prepare for liftoff, for spreading the word by air courier, word of mouth, and a thousand other methods: Remember in November.

When the exit polls query citizens, asking how they knew enough to place their ABO (Anybody But Obama) votes in such overwhelming numbers, many an answer will simply be:

“A little birdie told me.”

Traffic enforcers can be depended on to pick people up who drive under the influence. There is nothing dependable about drunk drivers, though, so apprehending officers confront a variety of circumstances and personalities, even startling behavioral changes, with DUI cases alone. Officers who enforce traffic laws have to be ready for anything. And, sometimes, picking up drunk drivers literally entails some weightlifting.

Courtesy of lawyer Monica Risam Nicklin

On the Saturday of November 19, 18-year-old Olivia Ornelas of Aurora, Illinois, was picked up by police. They hauled her, or so we might presume, out of the ditch she fell into when she spun her car off the road just after midnight near Route 71 and East High Point.

She confessed to apprehending officers that she was furious with her boyfriend for not taking her to see the new “Twilight” movie, as he had allegedly promised to, and her response, quite naturally, was to drink and drive. Police say she had been driving minus her right front tire, and, apparently, minus a few figurative nuts and bolts, too. She was given a little more time to continue to brood about her “Twilight”-disliking boyfriend when she was booked for driving under the influence as well as for illegal consumption of liquor by a minor and hauled off by police again this time to jail.

Just two days earlier, on the evening of Thursday, November 17, police picked up 24-year-old Michelle Watson of Prescott, Arizona. They actually had to lift her off the ground and carry her bodily to the police vehicle when she resisted arrest.

Witnesses had reported her driving erratically, repeatedly going up and down on the curb, and driving on the sidewalk in her white Honda Civic. According to the police report, when officers first attempted to take Watson into custody, they encountered heavy resistance. They observed that her eyes were bloodshot and her pupils dilated. Her breath was also described as heavy with an intoxicating beverage. Watson cursed the officers, shoved one officer away, and when a second officer attempted to remove the purse she wore slung over her shoulder, she kneed him in the groin, sparking a scuffle. Watson was brought down to the ground and handcuffed. She then refused to get to her feet and had to be picked up and carried to the police vehicle. Once inside, she proceeded to kick at the interior, necessitating further restraint from the officers.

Watson was charged with driving under the influence, aggravated assault of a police officer, and resisting arrest. But at the station, her demeanor took a surprisingly agreeable turn. Gamely posing for mug shots, disheveled appearance notwithstanding, she smiled broadly, giving not just one but two thumbs up to the camera. Perhaps she managed to find some humor in her situation. But when she learned this includes spending a minimum of 45 days in jail, and paying more than 3,000 dollars in fines and other costs, she might not have found much to grin about, after all.

Some provisions of the Patriot Act are quite worrisome. Many fear that the policies within are a violation of our civil liberties.

Although the Patriot Act was enacted in an effort to fight terrorism, further analysis of the Act shows that not all of the sections pertain just to terrorism and national security. A number of these sections can be used for other crimes as well; in essence, the government can use some of these terrorism-fighting tools against the citizens of the United States.

For example, any federal crime may be subject to a delayed notice search, which is commonly referred to as the “sneak and peek” search in Section 213. This means that the government may essentially break and enter into any home or office and conduct a secret search, without the owner’s consent or knowledge, and search the premises in a covert manner. The Act has expanded the government’s ability to carry out these secret searches and now allows the seizure of tangible evidence. The government has also installed key loggers on electronic devices during secret searches; key loggers record all keystrokes of the computer user, including passwords and other personal information. (Harrison, n.d.)

The seizure of electronic communications records is not limited to terrorist activities either. An individual’s name, address, billing records, identity, length and type of service, records of session times and duration, and the way they pay their bill can be seized under the Patriot Act. (USA Patriot Act, n.d.)

Another controversial section allows computer trespasser information to be intercepted if the owner of the victim computer agrees. This means that virtually any intruding computer can be traced with a wiretap without judicial oversight, because the owner of the victim computer consents to the interception. (USA Patriot Act, n.d.) Although this can be applied to terrorist activities, it is not confined to that function.

Image via Wikipedia

More computer crimes are now considered terrorism; under Section 808, any unauthorized access or distribution of viruses into government computer systems is now considered terrorism and under Section 814, the government can prosecute various computer crimes, such as hacking or Denial of Service attacks, with more ease. (Harrison, n.d.) With the Patriot Act, the government has increased abilities to intercept, inspect, seize, and prosecute technology crimes.

Although many people consider some provisions of the Patriot Act to be a violation of our civil rights, it can only be such if the government abuses the power of the Act. Under normal and reasonable use, the Act serves to protect us from terrorists and other criminals. The average American has nothing to fear from the Patriot Act. It only becomes a violation of our Constitutional rights when the law is used against us instead of to protect us.

Do you feel that these secret searches are a violation of our civil liberties? Or is it worth it? Some people feel that in order to be protected from terrorists we must give up some of our privacy rights. Do you think the founding fathers would have wanted this?

The medical field is a crucial sector in any society. Medical practitioners, be it doctors, nurses and so forth hold the lives of many people in their hands.

p { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; }

Nowadays there are many lawsuits that have been brought forth that involve medical malpractition including other violations. This does not only happen in the medical field but also in other professions and thus professional bodies often impose penalties on professionals who violate the set rules. This arises out of the fact that almost all professions have their own boards that spearhead the general joint activities of the professions nationwide. This means that for any professional to practice must be licensed by that board. Some individuals violate this license and they are thus disciplined by the board. A violator can be heavily punished for a not so heavy violation against his professional license. This will in most cases when one does not have good defense and legal counsel.

p { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; }

The Atlanta area has many physician licensing hearing attorney in any Atlanta medical license law firm. Fr example Allen, McCain and OMahny, P.C. covers many areas in the health sector in relation to law matters. With decades of experience in this area they can competently defend your license in case of malpractice accusations. The more the magnitude of a professionals violation, the more the likely hood that his license will be revoked. However, this is not the only penalty that one can be faced with. Other penalties in case of violations include fines that are monetized, community service and suspension f ones license. In addition to this a profession who has violated a particular rule is also likely to be faced with a lawsuit for damages arising of a license revocation.

Any kind of interference with your professional license has a significant effect on ones reputation and thus adversely affects his profession.
Zimbabwe - could they be violating what is right for the population?

In Zimbabwe there were many human rights that were breached and therefore Zimbabwe is a major issue in Human rights. Organisations that deal with human rights and encourage these campaigns such as Amnesty International have stated that the governing party in Zimbabwe are breaching the rights that were made by the UN.

They violate the population’s shelter, food, freedom of movement, residence, freedom of assembly, protection of law. These are very obvious human right violations that are important for the human welfare and wellbeing as these can affect health and the rights.

One reason that makes it even worse is that the government has no reason to do so unlike the Chinese. The government often sends the police to do raids and have brutal attacks to their citizen. Many organisations such as the UN has condemned this type of action due to the violence was that shed. Many of this was due to their opposition to democracy, which would have been supported by other NGOs.

One thing in Zimbabwe compared to China is that they don’t ban opposition against the government, but they have brutal attacks. They have done many things from “ran amok looting shops, destroying property, mugging civilians, and assaulting police officers and innocent members of the public” To these innocent people, when they act like this, it already violates the human right to live.

The issue in Zimbabwe is large for it affects a large amount of people and is disrespectful to the population’s rights. Violence is an abuse and violation of Article 2 as it leads to time. It also affects a number of rights and this is bad.

Currently, a possible solution could be the UN going into Zimbabwe and encouraging democracy. Another way could be defending the people being hurt and afflicted by violence

Law enforcers have the unenviable job of determining who the culprits are in crimes where no apparent traces are left, and their ability to identify those culpable of these seemingly perfect crimes may arguably be called sheer genius.

Posted courtesy of Legal Counsel Monica Risam Nicklin

Time and again we have been treated to tales of master law enforcement sleuths extracting the facts from nearly nonexistent evidence. But often such a victory comes to them after they have been stumped for months, with no leads, close to giving up. So it is a refreshing change for them when they come across cases that give them absolutely no trouble, cases in which the suspects cheerfully supply all the needed information, taking all the work out of detection for the police detective.

A narcissistic thief was one such recent example. Upon stealing a cell phone from the car of a woman, he took a picture of himself with it. It turns out that the settings of the phone cause it to automatically post any photos taken with it to the woman’s Facebook account. When she logged on to her page, she saw his picture and promptly showed it to the police who then published it with the request that anyone who recognizes him kindly report his whereabouts to them.

Another man was brought to the police station after policemen received a call from a woman accusing him of assaulting her. He claimed he did not understand why he was there. When the officers kept insisting that he knew why, he broke down. He confessed that he was indeed the one who had committed the recent rash of robberies in the area and that he had stabbed several of his victims. The officers were ecstatic. They had at last found the elusive robber, even if by accident. The man was never even charged with assaulting the woman, an act he denied doing when he learned that it was really why he was brought in for questioning.

There is this really funny account of the driver who recently got pulled over for a minor traffic violation. When the officers questioned him, they noticed several silver-colored rod-shaped objects under the passenger seat. They told him the objects looked like parts of a pipe bomb. But he quickly reassured them saying it was no pipe bomb, it was cocaine!

Another recent report was of a drug dealer who accidentally sent a text message meant for a prospective customer to a wrong number. The number belonged to a sheriff’s deputy.

Some criminals will never learn. Let’s hope more criminals will join their ranks.

Manila, Philippines – “I feel chained with these baseless accusations against me,” said Bro. Eli in the midst of his brethren and followers.

Bro. Eliseo F. Soriano (Bro. Eli), the Presiding Minister of the Members Church of God International (MCGI), more popularly known as the Ang Dating Daan (ADD), decried foul on GMA7 for repeatedly airing through “Case Unclosed” anchored by Arnold Clavio, some baseless accusation of an excommunicated former ADD member who is being used and paid by the Iglesia ni Cristo of Manalo (INCM), a religious cult, who is all out in pursuing Bro. Eli to silence him in exposing the INCM’s religious falsity.

Bro. Eli felt to be under chain as he cannot move freely because of the false accusations of Daniel Veridiano alias Puto, a gay who is being financed by the organization of the INCM with the help of GMA7 in order to harass the Bible Genius, Bro. Eli.

Arnold Clavio, on the other hand, whose popularity continued to dwindle, took advantage of the grudge that the INCM pursue against Bro. Eli by acceding to their dirty tactics or schemes to ruin Bro. Eli’s person.

The rating of GMA7 in terms of viewership is below par as compared to its opponents. This is probably the reason why Clavio have to ride with the popularity of Bro. Eli, the latter being already a world known personality for his unprecedented mastery of the Bible.

Hitting two birds in one stone, Clavio may have earned so much an amount for being paid by the INCM for continually airing the episode accusing Bro. Eli of rape at the same time increasing the rating of GMA7 at the expense of Bro. Eli.

One cannot deny the fact that Bro. Eli has many followers and supporters who will surely view that episode to find out what Clavio is trying to portray of Bro. Eli.

Legally speaking, Clavio in this case is violating the human rights of Bro. Eli. His program persecutes the preacher every time the accusation of that rape case is being played putting Bro. Eli at the losing end.

Even the courts agree that to accuse a person of rape is very easy but hard to rebut even if the accused is innocent, it is non-bailable and the worst of it is that if the accusation is being aired on television it is as if the innocent person is already convicted, more so, when repeatedly and indiscriminately aired, like what Clavio is doing.

Bro. Eli could not defend himself as he will be held in contempt by the court since the case is now under judicial determination. According to Bro. Eli’s lawyers, this is a clear violation of Bro. Eli’s human rights, particularly under the following Civil Code provisions:

Art. 19. Every person must, in the exercise of his rights and in the performance of his duties, act with justice, give everyone his due, and observe honesty and good faith.

Art. 20. Every person who, contrary to law, wilfully or negligently causes damage to another, shall indemnify the latter for the same.

Art. 21. Any person who wilfully causes loss or injury to another in a manner that is contrary to morals, good customs or public policy shall compensate the latter for the damage.

Now, the lawyers of Bro. Eli are planning or about to file or pursue a case against GMA7 and its anchor Arnold Clavio.

To recall, on June 18, 2009 a double rape case was filed against Bro. Eli by Daniel Veridiano alias Puto. According to Prof. Jane Abao, “the preacher had excommunicated the complainant from MCGI way back in 2005 for raping some 14 of his subordinates, and misappropriating church funds for personal use. Failing to be forgiven and received back into the folds of MCGI, Veridiano joined the Iglesia ni Cristo of the Manalos, where Soriano is its most severe critic.”

The allegations of rape by Viridiano had been consistently denied by Bro. Eli and the case was dismissed on January 26, 2006 due to the failure of the accuser Viridiano to prove or offer evidence adjudged by Alexandro Lopez, Assistant Provincial Prosecutor of Region III, San Fernando, Pampanga and as approved by Jesus Y. Manarang, the Provincial Prosecutor.

But surprisingly, on March 21, 2006, former Secretary of Justice Raul Gonzales directed the Regional State Prosecutor, Jesus Simbulan to elevate the records of the rape case to his office on reason to which only former Justice Gonzales knows.

The MCGI group took this action of Gonzales as a form of injustice and a manifestation of obviously favoring the group of Viridiano.

Bro. Eli could not defend himself despite repeated and unwarranted airing of the accusation of rape in the Case Unclosedof Arnold Clavio as he cannot issue any statement otherwise he could be held in contempt of court under the rule of sub judice.

In other words, the matter of the case is already in court awaiting judicial resolution, hence, prohibited to indiscriminately be discussed until such time when the court will issue its final resolution of the matter.

Quoted in the article of Prof. Abao, Bro. Eli said, “There was an email to me why we do not answer the broadcast of GMA. There is a principle of sub judice. Under our laws, I cannot answer because I will be cited for contempt of court. That case has just started. It should not be part of the program, “Case Unclosed”.

Bro. Eli further said, “If a case is already in the court, you cannot speak on the merits of it. That would be under the principle of sub-judice. However, not talking about it does not mean that we are not responding at all.”

According to Prof. Abao, “Veridiano has become the accuser, and influential bodies like the courts of Pampanga, the DOJ and recently, the GMA TV have become vehicles used against Soriano. To Soriano’s group, however, the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) is behind all these moves in a desperate attempt to destroy the credibility of the preacher. His challenge to Eraño Manalo to an open debate on TV as published in Manila Timesdated March 27, 2005 to “once and for all settle our doctrinal differences” remains un-responded to until today. What remains active from the Manalo camp are filing of cases against him, using excommunicated members of Ang Dating Daan.”

Soriano notes that although the Iglesia ni Cristo tries hard to press charges on him, “there is no case filed by the Church of Manalo in which I was convicted,” he said. “Our enemies accuse us of the evil deeds they are doing, and wanting to cover up the evil works of their group, they impute their crimes on us,” he told the congregation.

When his lawyers updated him on court matters, Soriano said there is hardly justice in the country. “This is a clear harassment and religious persecution. I can fully defend myself if the International court of Justice will allow me,” Soriano said. (http://kotawinters.wordpress.com/2009/06/23/ang-dating-daan-boycotts-giant-network-gma-bro-eli-decries-harassment/)

Circumcision: The Hidden Damage.

Many people shy away and would rather not think about the topic of circumcision. It is the world’s oldest, most common, and, at the same time, the most controversial surgery performed. The procedure dates as far back as the ancient Egyptians, and is done today in different countries, cultures, and religions worldwide. At present, the U.S. remains the only country to routinely circumcise the majority of its newborns for non-religious reasons. Despite where or why the surgery is performed, the answers do not deny the abundance of issues and problems revolving circumcision, a procedure considered to most as benign and safe – its violation of human rights and the damages done, whether physically and emotionally, are not compensative and are irreparable.

Pro-circumcision advocates have, more than once, proudly asserted the benefit of this surgery at reducing risks of certain STDs, primarily HIV – as shown in trials conducted in African countries deeply plagued by HIV and AIDS, which show that circumcision reduces the risk of acquiring HIV by as much as 60% – however, this has been met with contradicting opinions. The ICGI (International Coalition for Genital Integrity) has, since 2007, warned that “mass circumcision of sub-Saharan Africa will backfire.” Just recently, a new study was published in the Journal of Public Health in Africa by Robert S. Van Howe and Michelle R. Storms. Circumcision, the study summarizes, will more likely increase HIV rates rather than decrease. It expresses how the circumcision solution to HIV has several flaws, and that “by diverting attention away from more effective interventions, circumcision programs will likely increase the number of
 HIV infections.”

As Jules Cerre’s published letter on the International Research Center (CRI-IRC) website, the spreading of the correlation between male circumcision and reduced HIV risks can result in misunderstanding, leading to unprotected sexual intercourses, with the circumcised partner believing that he is safe from HIV.

Reports in Africa have shown an increase in sexual activity and non-safe sex. “Behavioral factors appear to be far more important risk factors,” says the American Academy of Pediatrics.

However, what advocates purposely leave out, or simply overlook, is the undeniable fact that infant circumcision (or circumcision performed on young boys) is, in more than one way, a violation to human rights and one’s bodily integrity. Male circumcision is often compared to female circumcision – and yes, both are forms of genitalia mutilation and violence, yet female circumcision is illegal in the United States, while male circumcision is not. The general public is often ignorant as to how similar male and female circumcision are in terms of their damages and harm done, and its infringement to the many rights of a kid.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 8 declares that States Parties “undertake to respect the right of the child to preserve his or her identity,” and Article 13 clearly states: “The child shall have the right to freedom of expression.” Article 19 asserts the protection of the child from “all forms of physical or mental violence, injury of abuse.” To be circumcised as an infant or young boy without consent under parents’ decisions is infringing his right as a human being to retaining his personal identity, sexual expression, and his freedom as a person over his body of which parts he wishes to keep. The children, who are not able to give their consent, are vulnerable in the hands of parents and doctors who believe they know best, and have no say over what is to be done to their bodies, medically and surgically.

The Tasmanian Commissioner for Children, Paul Mason, expresses his point of view. “Leave babies and young boys alone. If a boy grows up wanting to change his appearance for whatever reason, knowing all the risks of the surgery and the possible consequences such as desensitisation, then he has the rest of his life to do it when he is old enough. I would be the first to support him in that. It is a question of choice.”

Not only so, but boys have to endure the ineffable and significant pain of circumcision itself. Early physicians believe that infants could not feel the pain because of the underdeveloped nervous system; however, this is regarded today as a myth. Even though anesthesia is sometimes given, it is common practice to perform the surgery without.

Early physicians were also convinced that even if infants were to experience pain, they would not remember it – but this is regarded today as a complete myth, too. Psychological damage can be cast upon children, along with painful memories to recall and trauma, which they carry into adulthood, from such excruciating physical pain. In fact, circumcision is among one of the most painful neonatal surgeries performed. Infants experience risks of choking and difficulty in breathing, and many are left in deep shock.

The shock later transmogrifies into other sorts of behavioral symptoms, and children can suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It has been reported that children develop an increase in aggressiveness and weakened ego. One 8-year-old boy experienced contiguous assaults of nightmares, and stuttered during speech.

Two reports studying the circumcision ritual in Turkey yielded the conclusion that 4- to 7-year-olds that the surgery is perceived as an “aggressive attack on his body, which damaged, humiliated and, in some cases totally destroyed him.”

Men have written to the Circumcision Resource Center expressing words of pain, resentment, fury, fear, shame, violation, and abuse after circumcision. A man, circumcised at the age of three, recalled, in his thirties, the experience vividly. He was furious that such thing was done to him, and was humiliated by his own powerlessness of being unable to protect himself from what he felt like and called “sexual manipulation.” Even though it is a medically legal surgery, he felt as if he had been sexually abused – and the psychological effects are the same, whether a victim experiences it through illegal wrongdoing or a certified doctor’s medical procedure. A survey of 300 men confirmed harmful effects of their circumcision, and more than 80% cited emotional damage.

Circumcision can lead to severe complications that may even result in deaths from overdose of painkiller or loss of blood, among other reasons.

In 1998, Cleveland, Ohio, Dustin Evans Jr. was circumcised not long after birth. The doctor, Dr. Russell, left a scar after surgically removing too much foreskin. Evans Jr. was therefore given an anesthetic, sevoflourane, to which he died immediately. Evans Sr. says, “You think, ‘What could go wrong with a circumcision?’ The next thing I know, he’s [Dustin Evans Jr.] dead.”

In 2003, Singapore, 4-year-old Nui Jia Yuan died after four injections and being circumcised – under the recommendation of one Dr Kubendran, who suggested circumcision after the boy complained of pain during urination. “They have robbed us of our little boy,” Nui Jia Yuan’s mother cried.

Deaths from circumcision account for 1.3% of all male neonatal deaths in the United States, and over 100 infants die because of complications of this surgery, a study published in Thymos: Journal of Boyhood Studies reports. “Because infant circumcision is elective, all of these deaths are avoidable,” the ICGI (International Coalition for Genital Integrity) writes. George C. Denniston, MD, MPH, and President of Doctors Opposing Circumcision, says, “These are entirely avoidable deaths caused by a pointless surgery that the child would never choose for himself.”

The Circumcision Policy Statement, published by the American Academy of Pediatrics and designed to provide parents of all male infants “accurate and unbiased information and be provided the opportunity to discuss this decision [circumcision],” mentions complications that can occur due to circumcision, but fails to acknowledge circumcision-related deaths.

“Most circumcision-related deaths are not officially as recorded as due to circumcision at all, but to the immediate cause, most commonly stroke, bleeding, infection or reactions to anesthesia. Medical statistics are thus at fault in that they do not give the true cause of death at all,” Circumcision Information for Australians writes.

This, circumcision, will continue to be a global issue – no, a human issue – if the public is left ignorant and unarmed with some of the most fundamental knowledge of circumcision. Prestigious studies confirm that the little benefits of circumcision are not compelling enough to promote routine circumcision, and the American Academy of Pediatrics states clearly that the procedure is “not essential to the child’s current well-being.” Yet, children are robbed of their rights of choice, rights as a child, and rights as a living person. They are children without consent, children without the knowledge of circumcision, which their parents should have. They suffer emotional and psychological damage, from childhood to adulthood, oftentimes for a lifetime. They are put through risks of infections, or even more dreadful – death – but all when they are youngsters under the promises of doctors and parents. Circumcision is more than a snip of skin – it is a snip of many things, but most significantly and heartbreaking of all, a snip of the promises of a child’s rights.

This is taken from my article on environment, a project in our Specialized Reporting subject when I was still in college under Development Journalism, a new course on that time in our college. The first two paragraphs are the introduction of the article, the last paragraph the conclusion. I will publish the entire article when I am ready. Anyway, it is all about San Roque River in San Roque, Northern Samar, Philippines.

Environment should be our friend. It can be our best friend. It helps us. It gives us anything. It makes us happy. It entertains us. It is like our very best friend who needs our help sometimes. It is like our very best friend who depends on us at times. It is like our very best friend to whom even if she does not cry out her problems, we ought to be at her side and help her because we can sense her. But everyone must know that environment can be more than that. That environment “is” more than that. More than a best friend. It is our mother. Or our father. It takes care of us. It protects us. It provides us anything. It helps us grow. It supports us. It sustains life.

But environment could avenge more violently than a betrayed best friend could. It could punish ruthlessly that a mother or a father could ever not do. In times of avenging and punishing, our is the greatest fear. And oftentimes it is our fault that it happens – the avenging and the punishing and the greatest fear. Oftentimes it all originates from the very us. It avenges because we betray. It punishes because we violate. We violate a natural law. A law of God. And even the ones which we may say we don’t take part of – like the storm and the earthquake – can be considered (for the traditional people like the old folks and the religious ones) punishments from God. Well, it does sound agreeable that way. And everybody knows that. God punishes us for what we do wrong to the environment – one of His masterpieces.

Everything that happens to our environment? It is the result of what we are doing while living at the center of it. Of the environment. We must take care of our environment because everything we see is it. It is like our very best friend to whom we help her because we can feel the responsibility of helping her. It is like our very best friend who sometimes does not call our attentions just for us to notice that she is bleeding. It is like our very best friend who calls our names silently when she needs help.

One of the important factors in determining the cost of auto insurance is the driver's driving record, as this report gives an indication of how risky it is for the insurer. So you can expect traffic violations have a direct impact on the cost of your auto insurance.

Remember the phrase that I studied the prospectus for a driver’s license in Florida – many years ago, said something similar to “driving is a privilege granted by the state who demonstrate that they are able to do so, not an entitlement. .. “. With this sentence, the state puts on the driver’s responsibility to demonstrate the ability and responsibility for their actions behind the wheel.

One way states determine that a driver is or is not fit to drive is through a system of awarding points for actions committed dangerous driving and traffic violations warrant fines.

Simply put, if you break the law, you get a traffic ticket and I noted a number of points to your license, depending on the state where you drive, when it reaches a certain amount, can result in license suspension, revocation or may even withdraw the license plate (registration) of the vehicle.

This has a direct effect on your insurance because the rates you pay are based on how risky you are as a driver. So if you accumulate traffic tickets and point on your license, your insurance your insurance score points not only result in higher costs but, in certain circumstances, could result in cancellation of insurance or the decision not to renew it.

The points system for drivers depends on state law. So the offenses in a state that can cost a point or two points, one may cost more. Also the number of peaks accepted by period – and the months or years of these periods – varies by state. For example, in California speeding over 100 mph or open containers of liquor in the car can cost you two points to the driver and there is a limit of 4 points on your license for every 12 months to revoke or suspend the .

While in North Carolina, if you earn 7 points, you must attend a special driver that eliminates the 3-point approve your account. In that state you can allocate up to 5 points on your license if you get a fine for not obeying the stop sign when a school bus picking up or dropping kids.

However, in most states the fines for traffic violations where the vehicle is not moving (non-Moving Violations), such as fines for parking in the wrong places, they often incur points on the license. This is not to say you do not require that you cancel before renewing a license or registration of the car!

The bulletin of preparation for the driving test in your state is the best document to find out what the limits of points to the license in your area. You can also find this information on the website of the department of transportation in your state. To find the transit state offices you can visit the map by region of the National Office of Traffic and Highway Safety and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) .

Insurance policies are generally legal contracts between the insured and insurers. If one party breaches a clause, makes the other party may file legal claims against him. It is important that when you receive your insurance policy to read it and ask the agent to explain to you what your obligations in the event of an accident or if a cop stops you and you receive a violation.

For example, if you drive a rental car for which you have bought insurance, the contract states that if you have an accident and not wearing a seat belt or driving under the influence of alcohol, insurance is released from the obligation to recognize the cost of damages that you incur, and that makes you to be responsible for such damage.

This is serious, very serious. Both do not wear seatbelts and alcohol when driving. The first because it is proven that this belt can save your life in an accident. The second, offense known as a DUI (Driving under the Influence of alcohol) undermines the safety of people on the road and in most states is a ground for suspending the license application and the authorization for driving.

It is considered that a driver is under the influence of alcohol if the presence of oxygen in the blood (blood-alcohol content or BAC) is 0.08. This level is the maximum allowed in ALL states and DC since 2004.

In a Washington Post article of July 2004, the authors Lena H. Sun and Carol Morin cites a 2003 study by the Thomas Jefferson Community Criminal Justice Board in Charlottesville, Va., where costs for a court conviction for DUI in this state can cost between 5 and 20 thousand dollars, depending on the seriousness of the case . That regardless of annual deaths caused by drunk drivers every year: 16.694 fatalities in 2004, according to the NHTSA in www.stopimpaireddriving.org .

In addition, certain traffic violations also limit the rights of legal tender. When driving laws can bring a lawsuit for injuries suffered in a car accident, whether drivers or passengers violate certain laws, including those governing the use of seat belt, may be subject to receive lower amounts of compensation awarded to legal settlements (money that the court indicates that they must receive either the responsible driver or his insurer).

The Insurance Information Institute , a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting awareness of insurance in the U.S., shows how these laws apply by state. For example, in Florida, where it is compulsory to use seat belts for all occupants of the car if there is an accident and the court awarded damages, they can be reduced if not complied with seat belt laws!

You can see therefore that this type of error is not only dangerous but costly. You can save yourself money by avoiding problems and traffic violations.
