I am sure that there are parents out there, such as myself that still prefer not to take their 14 year old daughter to get birth control pills or get that same-age son, condoms.  It’s almost as if you don’t expect them to do any better than succumb to sex.  This is not true.  There are those out there still, who don’t want to get that seriously involved in another person to lose their virginity, be it boy or girl.   These are no doubt much smaller in number than those who do.

A female, in particular, loses pretty much herself when she loses her body young and to a young man who is not worthy.  But that’s the thing, if you are copulating at 15 or 16, not much maturity can be expected on either one’s part.  It’s just that the girl has to bear the bigger part of the situation because she’s carrying the child.  The boy can still run with the guys, deny the child and pretty much get away with it.  In return the girl could very well be ostracized from her group.  Back in the day, a girl who found herself pregnant found herself without many of her friends as parents didn’t want this to rub off on their daughters.

This is why people should wait until they feel more responsible about having a child before having one.  Just because you want a live Barbie Doll does not mean that you are ready for one. It takes time, sacrifice and money.  Save your body girls, and you too guys.  Life is short but it’s a long hard time when you are put in situations that your age does not dictate that you are ready for.  And besides all of that, what’s the rush?  If you’re having sex purely for the enjoyment of it, you’re pretty much willful, disobedient and headed down the wrong road.  I wouldn’t say it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes!

This story was carried by the Northern Irish paper Sunday Life. And according to the paper, the teenage girl who is only 16 offered to sell her virginity on the popular trading website Gumtree. The teenage girl, whose name was not revealed chose to use the following shocking words for her advert title on the site: “Virginity for Sale” the body of the advert had the following words: “available to the highest bidder”.

According to the Sunday Life paper, the teen is the first in Northern Ireland to make such an offer on the web.

And within hours of her making that offer, men had inundated her with shocking offers.

When asked why she was selling her virginity, the teen had said that she was doing that to raise cash for a college course in art.  

Reporters from the Sunday Life paper eventually tried to stop the teenager from selling her virginity to a stranger, sensing the huge risk the girl was putting herself into.

The Sunday Life newspaper never released the girl’s name because of ethical reasons.
