Democracy, or at least modern democracy is supposed to be about the majority of people having some form of say in government. However, in recent times less and less people seem to be interested in having their say. In fact voter turnout has only been in the 60-80%wise in most of Europe and the USA. Aside in fact, from the countries in which voting is forced by law, voter turnout is slowly slipping. In less significant elections, like for the European parliament, turnout is even less!

I am seventy three years young, and in my youth it seemed all in my community shared a simpler lifestyle than those in my today community. Realize I lived through the last part of the great depression and all of the second world war, Korea, Viet Name, Granada, Desert Storm and the two now. Each year life has gotten more complicated, and each year we have let Government, “545″ elected officials, take over our lives. Perhaps the simplest thing we could possibly do to “simplify” our lives is to elect 545 new individuals who share our dreams.
