Inspiration is the food you need to live through the pain and trials of life. We can never have enough of it.

The merciless morning had broken my stressful sleep into many pieces so quickly. It was six o’clock ; time to study at dawn. She didn’t care about the pain in my back , the hours I spent in the computer laboratory, practicing for my computer science test, forcing my body without rest to a limit that seemed unrealistic. She didn’t care about how I troubled my stomach to continue without food or got money for new shoes. She was one cruel teacher of time. That morning, the beginning of pain and yet the initiation of something great!

A good morning was when she presented you the gift of life , a reason to love and to embrace another day with a clear expectation of a similar gift of love. It didn’t matter how long she teased your heart, making you unstable full of curiosity and unexplainable hatred. She was beautiful enough to change an angry man , a hungry monster, to a happy fool when she delivered her gifts at his door. Who can remember the harsh times waiting for wages ,waiting to get paid, when the morning light comes? But we knew she had another face.

” Freedom is coming one day. Freedom could come this morning!” It was a prisoner’s prayer in precincts; a place he had lost control,no power. The morning was his master. She stirred the hearts of souls that trusted in the presence of her light for the sake of pleasure. It was for fan. It was just for fan. She enjoyed it when your heart was beating, scared of losing or not finding a miracle from the morning.

How different you looked was not important to the morning. Every one had a share of her disasters. Some found their gifts as dead bodies of their loved ones, changing their morning to mourning. She had no emotions for mothers, fathers or children. She didn’t know whose pain was unbearable, whose heart was too small to stand suffering.

Surprisingly, above the atmosphere that clouds the gentle unsuspecting minds flies the feathers of the morning with rage. The presence of people who think they have control over the her hold, people who didn’t care to remember her face, her name or nightmares she brings, made her feel incompetent and totally prepared to establish destruction in the mind of her victims. Definitely, only a confused wise man can stand arrogantly before the smell of her breath.

Unfortunately, as soon as you loose your skin from its grips, when you want to move on, she exposes the weakness she once saw in your taste in her pleasures. Your dreams and desires are served as bait before you.

Desperation is a space in our mind where we welcome the morning lies. Indeed, the only way one can see the design of his power against the morning is when one believes he can make it without standing on the shoulders of the morning. Her help unfolds its other nature as you empower its weakness with your faith. Chance is only a friend to a failure. Let your mind travel beyond the help from chance that you may see a beautiful morning all the time.

Do you sometimes feel that you decide completing any task but despite having capability, you do not find “energy” in yourself, by which you can complete that task in any logical way? You anyhow start that work but gradually lose your interest and could not finish the task at hand and therefore, it remains incomplete for ever. This develops bitterness and feeling of failure. All these things happen when there is low or absence of motivation.

Motivation is a very important topic; we can bring a positive and meaningful change in our life by understanding it fully. Let’s examine what is Motivation? What is its importance in our lives? What is the relation of motivation with success? Which factors are essential for elevating motivation and what are the factors that reduce or kill motivation?

In simple words, motivation is a name of “energy” or “power” that enables a person following his targets with full heart and soul. In the presence of Motivation the journey of a person keeps on moving ahead automatically and a person completes the most difficult tasks happily and easily. Will power and motivation are the essential ingredients for success.

It is the same power that pushes a worshipper leaving his warm bed in the severe cold for worshipping, convinces any soldier performing his duty in unfavorable conditions in a desert. It is a strange power that uplifts a person for converting impossible tasks into possible ones and it its absence the easiest task seems impossible.

In respect of motivation different experts have put their ideas in front of the world, all are important in their places, but the idea that received the most popularity was presented by American Professor Abraham Mosley in 1943. In this Article we will examine his idea thoroughly/in detail, understanding which we will be able getting the answer of the question, “What are those factors that affect motivation?”

The Abraham Mosley’s idea about Motivation cleared on the world that there are five types of human necessities in life, which on step by step completion elevates motivation in human and in case of non completion of these requirements, motivation starts declining. It must be cared much that the order of these requirements are very important because their order is set as per their importance. The human needs according to Professor Abraham Mosley are:

1- Physiological Needs

Physical needs are the foremost needs of human life, without which it is not possible keeping alive. These needs include food, shelter and cloth. With the civilization progress there are many other needs in the modern age that can be included in the category of physical needs as per our standards of living.

2- Security Needs

After fulfilling the physical needs, security needs are important. Who is not aware of the importance of security needs? A person cannot focus in the presence of insecure feelings and remained overwhelmed in variety of doubts. Possible fears about future keep him worried all the time.

Every person feels the necessity that his life and wealth would have no fears at all. He should have security in wealth and social affairs. The better condition of law and order, justice in the country, reliable punishment and reward system, conduct of merit in the society, arrangement of safety from accidents and health fulfills the human security needs.

3. Love and Belonging Needs

After fulfilling the health and security needs love and belonging needs are important. We all know that human is a social animal. He possesses the natural desire of giving and receiving love. Due to this need he makes friends, grows family and searches his life partner, all these things help him creating emotional bonding with others. These relations can both be sexual or non-sexual. It is also in his instinct that he wants to be a part of group whether religious, political or social.

Doing all this fulfills his requirement of love and relation. If his requirement of love is not fulfilled fully he feels himself lonely and the extreme feeling of loneliness can create depression in him. The most important aspect of this need is that in case of non-fulfillment, a person may also lose interest in the fulfillment of physical and security needs. You might have seen many people who leave eating food, leave there houses and sometimes leave their lives as well, in case they fail in getting love or face separation from their loving personality,

4. Esteem Needs

Every person has a natural need that he must be respected. He desires that other people admire his qualities and abilities present in his personality, he receives acceptance everywhere and he must be seen as respectable. In order to fulfilling this need people associate themselves with different activities and hobbies which creates a sense of contribution in him and the need of self-esteem fulfills.

If this need is not fulfilled to a considerable extent, his self-esteem gets affected and in some cases he can become a victim of inferiority complex. The more the people have low self esteem, the more they need admiration and respect from others. Such people are more inclined getting popularity and dignity, because in this way they get more respect and honor from people.

The interesting thing in this respect is that the people with low self-esteem do not get satisfaction even by the getting respect and honor externally rather the improvement process starts only when they recover their self-esteem internally. The depression cases are more critical. Such people cannot show any extraordinary performances due to their mental condition, and hence, neither considered deserving of any respect or admiration nor succeed internally recovering their low self-esteem.

5. Self Actualizing Needs

Among Abraham Mosley’s idea of needs this is the last one. The relation of this need is with the desire that if someone is using his full potential or not. It is the name of the desire by which a person wants to achieve every possible thing in life. This is an exemplary situation.

It can also be described as the growth process has not stopped in a person but is still going on with the time. The needs of self actualizing can be different in different people. Some people satisfy their desire of self actualizing by putting their energies in painting, photography, poetry and inventions.

Understanding the above mentioned details you would have guessed that these cover almost every aspect of our needs in life. There is no easy or short way keeping you motivated all the time but it is worth taking care of all these necessities in an orderly way as stated above.

Only financial stability and progress is not a guarantee of happy life but a human personality is a combination of variety of needs and every need has its own importance. All these requirements are entire reality and demand their fulfillment. Ignoring any one of these can only create a long term complexities in any one.

We often indulge in a mistake of using all of our energies, abilities and time for fulfilling any one of the above mentioned needs, while ignoring other needs of our personality. As a result, in due course of time, our motivation starts declining and ultimately we come across a mental condition where we feel lack of motivation.

The only way of dealing this situation is that we shall examine our life style and priorities carefully and evaluate the following:

To what extent can we fulfill these needs?

Where are we making mistake?

What important aspects of our life demand our attention and time?

After fulfilling all these requirements considerably, a person becomes capable of passing a complete, fulfilled, happy and satisfied life and develops an unlimited providence of energy that enables him achieving any target in life without much difficulty.

"Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it, even if I didn't have it in the beginning."
—Mahatma Gandhi.

The willpower of a human being decides the fate of his success. If we have inferiority complex, we can never become superior in life to what we are. At this juncture, discarding things that hold us back is the right way out. Therefore, we need to cultivate the power to be strong enough from within. There is no mystery about the advancement or progress in life.

The fact of the matter is that we, successful aspirants, are robust in terms of willpower. However adverse the situation is, we do not succumb to the sufferings, difficulties and problems. We try to understand the relevance of these impasses, imbroglios, obstacles and try to arrive at the lasting solution to them. We hate give-up attitude. ‘Can-do’ and.’do-well-attitude’ is our invaluable ornament that makes us even more adorable in life. Thus, it simply justifies age-old saying ‘where there is will there is way’.

Have a purpose in life and having it, pursue it with the power of mind and muscle God has given you. After having made the goal crystal clear, chalking out the strategy to institute stringent mechanism for the sake of gaining self-belief is the primary ingredient to be successful in life. It is almost impossible to reach the desired destination in life without possessing the weapon of self-belief. One can never achieve success in life unless there is a goal. The goal would follow the action and later on, it would bring you the dividend in the form of self-belief that is a major pillar of success in one’s life.

Spontaneously, a driving force would be developed inside. Sooner rather than later, people would dare to muster the courage to transcend the limitation of confinement that marks the beginning of low self-belief. Simultaneously, the foundation of enormous self-belief would be established that would keep you stand high above the crowd in terms of winning attitudes during thickest and thinnest portions of life.

Human mind is a synonym of elastic. The more you stretch it, the more it expands and broadens your scope of thinking. Once, while studying in Madras Institute of

Technology, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was given an impossible deadline of three days only, to design a low-level aircraft, with a warning to stop his scholarship if the assigned task was not accomplished. The challenge left no option but to accomplish the task and he did that. After viewing the progress, his Director, Prof. Srinivasan told Dr. Abdul Kalam as to why such an impossible deadline was given to him. The human mind gets ignited and working capacity gets enhanced manifold—Prof. Srinivasan demystified.

The human mind possesses such a unique quality that once it is stretched, it does not compress again. At the same time, scope of thinking is broadened forever. Prof Srinivasan always knew that Kalam would accomplish the task. Even then he put Kalam in the tough situation for the sake of stretching his mind. Thus Kalam’s scope of thinking kept on broadening and he has been doing fabulous jobs by bringing many laurels to the nation. Later on, see how beautifully the Rameshwaram lad travelled from an impoverished small family house to the Rashtrapati Bhawan and turned to be the ‘Missile Man of India’ as well. It has been possible only because of his winning lure, believing in himself and never-say-die attitude.

The most difficult bias that most of us tend to develop in the process of achieving success is losing an open mind. Open mind means not being predetermined, which is the unfortunate part of our life. Working hard on a predetermined set format confines us and does not allow our mind to think out of the box. Thus, the inventive, ignited and young minds are turning to be idle ones which are truly unwarranted in the national interests. Come what may, every single opportunity be extended to blossom young minds of the country. Flourishing of these young minds independently in terms of thinking would pave the way to generate a willpower to elevate all of us to the pinnacle in our respective fields.

‘Do thy duty, reward is not thy concern’ is well said in the holy book of the Bhagwad Geeta. Alwavs have faith in GOD and complete confidence in your ability. Hard work, determination, dedication, driving force, discipline are some key ingredients on which the tree of success stands. These ingredients are the blessings of ALMIGHTY. Therefore, we need to embrace the blessings of GOD persistently during the hilarious, delirious and dumbstruck moments of life. He is always great and keeps on showering His choicest blessings on everyone. We need to be optimistic. We always should see the sunny side of everything. The positive attitude would inspire and motivate one and all to scale greater heights in life one looks for. No target in life is small. Any complacency may lead to failure. Thus, the motto should be “No effort is too big; no detail is too small”. In the long run, it would work wonders.

Success can only come to you by courage and devotion to the tasks lying in front of you. I can assure you without fear of contradiction that the quality of Indian minds is equal to the quality of minds hailing from any part of the world. What we lack is perhaps courage, what we lack is perhaps driving force, which takes one anywhere. We have, I think, developed an inferiority complex. I think what is needed in India today is the destruction of the defeatist spirit. It is tangibly clear that a democratic nation like ours having one billion plus population could bag only one Olympic Gold Medal so far, whereas the tiny Caribbean state like Jamaica is producing the Great Guns like Usain Bolts. Michael Phelps from USA alone scripted history in the Beijing Olympics by bagging eight Gold Medals It is not that the athletes hailing from USA, China, Australia, Japan, Korea and so on are made of iron or steel. But the prevailing difference is their robust willpower and self-belief in their ability. No doubt at all, our graph of sports is also ascending as we have witnessed in the 19th Commonwealth Games held in New Delhi that brought us 101 medals altogether and with 64 medals, Indian managed 6th position in 16th Asian Games that concluded in Guangzhou (China).

The heartening thing in Indian sports is that our athletes have started believing in themselves. See the self-belief of our cricketers that elevated them to be the No. 1 Team in the world of cricket. Equally, it should be emulated by every single citizen of the country in his/her own field.

The most important task before all of us today is to get its one billion plus force for constructive change together and deploy them in a mission mode. The nation offers a wide spectrum of ideologies besides its diversity. It should be our greatest strength and should transform emerging India into a developed nation. But it can only be possible, if our citizens believe that they deserve to be called a citizen of developed India.

Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi launched his campaign against the ill and discriminatory treatment meted out to Blacks in South Africa from 1893 to 1914. Thereafter, he fought in India to bring us the most pleasant fruit of independence. It was only his self-belief that could embolden the masses to join the struggle for independence. What if he too would not have mustered his courage to uproot the British Rule in India ? He was driven by much needed self-believing capability. Therefore, all of us need to emulate Father of the Nation in our own right to achieve our goal in life.

When you are inspired by some great purpose and some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bounds. Your -mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world.
Driving forces, faculties, and talents become alive and you discover yourself to be a greater person than you have ever dreamt of yourself to be.

"The word impossible doesn't exist in human dictionary" is not an exaggerated saying. It is based on the result shown by human endeavor.

History is full of impossibilities that could be possible through noble and continuous efforts. Alexander the Great decided to conquer the world. He succeeded in his effort to the maximum extent. Many parts of civilized world succumbed to his feats or his performance.

If we take a piece of ordinary glass, hold it over some shredded paper and let sunlight shine through, we will simply have a bright pile of paper. But if we take a magnifying glass and focus the same sunlight on the paper, we can start a fire. Thus, winners always focus on mastering the ability to accomplish. Once we conceive an idea and back it up with strong belief, we can definitely succeed.

The term Impossible itself comprises the words I ’M’ Possible, which implies nothing is here in this world that is not possible. The work may appear to be difficult, but it can never be impossible. Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in this world. Impossible is considered as an opinion rather than a fact. Impossible can be used in temporary sense, as it is nothing permanent.

Every person, who strongly believes that anything is possible and can be achieved, is indeed inwardly optimistic who never allows, failures to come. There are numerous examples from the lives of common people which enhance the vision of possibility. Louis Braille was a blind educationist who devised the touch system of reading and writing for the blind. His impediment did not deter him from devising the Braille script for the visually challenged. Helen Keller was both blind and deaf, but became an educator of the blind. She wrote books like “The Story of My Life”, “The World I Live in” and “Out of the Dark”. Sudha Chandran, the famous classical dancer, danced her way to millions of hearts across the globe. She lost her leg in an accident during her early youth. Though it seemed to be impossible at that time to fulfill her dreams, she rose from the life of incognito and became famous.

How the degree of possibility could be raised to such an extent and lead to a great success which was completely impossible at the very beginning of their life ? It is nothing but their willpower, determination and confidence in achieving their goal. Napoleon Hill wrote—”Whatever the mind of man conceives and believes, the mind can achieve.”

We are only making our destiny, shaping our life and deciding our fate. God has bestowed enormous power and qualities on human beings. Man is the supreme of all His creations. The qualities like courage, willpower, determination, enthusiasm, concentration, memory, judgment, reasoning, etc. ensure that we accomplish what we desire. Just we should learn the secret of doing things the right way.

Everybody is free to dream. But dreams should not remain in our heads. These should become a reality; otherwise they continue to live at the back of our mind forever trapped in the midst of our thoughts. But how can one aim at fulfilling one’s dreams whose journey has been full of obstacles and failures ? Obviously one will be frustrated with impossibility. But here one should remember that failure is the pillar of success. Some may experience passing through a smooth paved road as they move towards their goal. On the other hand, for others, the road may be quite a bumpy one, with frequent stops, missed exits and roadblocks.

The real reason why we do not try to do certain things or fail to do them when we try, is often because we do not really want to do them, or if we really want a thing, our desire for it is feeble. When we do not really want to do it, we set to work to find excuses and make a mountain out of a mole hill. If our desire is like a thin, feeble stream of water, it is turned aside or blocked by every small obstacle. But a rushing torrent simply sweeps rocks and trees and banks out of its way and forces itself through every obstruction. In the same way, a fierce desire, and a strong determination will make difficulties easy and will discover the way to success.

Pallissy, the French potter in the 17th century, made up his mind to discover a pure white glaze for china. He was a poor man, and had but little education; but for twenty years he worked at his task, trying hundreds of experiments and failing in all. However, he never gave in. His wife and neighbours called him a lunatic, for he ruined himself in his efforts. At last, to get wood to feed his furnace in the final experiment, he burnt up all the furniture in his house. But he succeeded in the end and became a famous man.

He had the will and he found the way. Thus, perseverance and patience act as weapons in turning failure into success.

Circumstances may be adverse, but it should not deter us. Carlyle said that genius is another name for the capacity to take infinite pains. The examples of many great men in different eras bear testimony to it. History of human civilization tells us about many such great leaders and their efforts which were beyond imagination. It is nothing but the ‘willpower’ or indomitable determination of a person which makes impossible possible. The story of man’s progress from barbarism to civilization is nothing but a story of his dedication pitted against all hostile forces of nature, which can be achieved by any one of us through continuous process of concentration on noble objectives. Once acquired, it will enable us to have our way in all things.

The notable achievements of science, art and literature are all the results of endeavours of men with willpower who worked against heavy odds to achieve their goals. Madam Curie and Pierre Curie could discover Radium— a great boon to humanity only because of their desireness and willpower which prepared them to lav down even their lives in the pursuit of their goal.

The work which seems unaccomplishable can be successfully undertaken with sheer grit, determination and hard work. Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation, with his conviction in Satyagraha and non-violence, succeeded in his fight for the Blacks in South Africa and also in securing independence for India from the British rule. Gandhiji’s willpower and determination converted this theoretically impossibility to practically possible. The 16th President of the US, Abraham Lincoln, was the son of humble parents, but rose to the highest rank of honour by dint of his unwavering determination and continuous efforts. Napoleon, though from a poor background, became the emperor of France.

Mother Teresa worked for the upliftment of the destitute, ailing and dying, driven by inner spiritual powers, in spite of being frail in her physical appearance. We also have the inspiring examples of Sir Edmund Hillary and Ten Zing, whom not even the dangers of high altitudes could weaken and they resolved to reach the top of the Mt. Everest. In order to get success in a work one must be driven internally. Then only one can grow in conviction, competence and willingness to accept responsibility.

Today, man has landed on the moon which was believed to be a god. Modern science has achieved wonders. It has brought about far reaching changes in every walk of life. It has increased human comfort and given man powers fit only for the gods. It has given eyes to the blind, ears to the deaf and limbs to the crippled. It has also provided us with wings that nature has not given us. With electricity man can turn a night into a day. Now, the marvelous achievements of Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering have turned things from impossible to possible. With the advancement of science and technology and the conviction of man, the posterity will be witness to how man inhabits the moon and procreates the human race there.

Swami Vivekananda said that Karma can directly lead one to the supreme goal. Dedication towards work is what makes the journey of life a meaningful endeavour. Work is the key to success, progress and happiness. According to Sophocles, “Heaven never helps the men who will not act.” There is nothing impossible in this technologically advanced world, if efforts are on. The most important phenomenon to make impossible possible, undesirable desirable, failure success, fruitless fruitful, is by using the word ‘right’. By taking the right decision at right time at right place with right direction, we can reach the right destination.

Importance of will power in one's own life.

Will power is nothing but controlling one’s own behavior. In short it is self control.

One thing we all definitely want in life is success. Whatever may be our undertakings – in the direction of worldly prosperity or spiritual illumination, not one of us likes to fail. We all want to succeed. Success though we all desire, it will be noticed in various spheres of life. Truly successful men are only a handful. Many are those who attain only a moderate degree of success .And many more just fail.

There will be various factors in the stories of men’s successes and failures of life. But in every single case there will be one common factor involved. That is the factor of will power. The degree of a person’s success in life is commensurate with the degree of will power he has attained.

How to develop the will power thus turns out to be the most important fundamental issue of everyone’s life. It should be the part of our education from our childhood to be trained in developing the will power, for without it education remains largely ineffective.

If unfortunately, we have not learnt how to develop will power early in life, we should do so at any stage of life, because self improvement is almost impossible without the voluntary or involuntary exercise of will power. Whereas, given the will power, we can bring about considerable changes in our individual and also collective lives for the better, from very hopeless situations.

If we study the lives of those persons who were once in very bad shape and afterwards were found to rise from the shambles in a spectacular manner, we shall discover in every single case, it was their will power that brought about their transformation and rise. If we study the lives of some persons who early in life showed much promise, had enviable facility to rise high, and yet never fulfilled their promise, wilting away like buds before fully blossoming, we shall discover in every single case that there it was the absence of the will power that caused their early wilting.

Given the will power man makes everything out of nothing as it were. In the absence of the will power, all his talents and qualities and endowments come to nothing.

If like millions of other people world-wide, you are making grandiose statements about your New Year’s resolutions, take a good long look in your mirror, think about the empty promises you made last year and vow to do things differently moving forward. Forget the New Year, make life resolutions with these eight top tips.

The only resolutions you ever need to make

1) I resolve to accept that will power is sometimes not enough

‘I will never…’ is simply wrong; your ‘will’ will and you need to think about that long and hard about that. Will power is often confused as a supreme force divinely imparted onto any individual who has decided they will never do something again. While the intention is commendable, and perhaps sometimes even necessary, it takes a real goon to expect they are going to change everything by making childish promises about forever. Try taking a week at a time. Forever is for wimps.

2) I resolve to accept that I don’t have to eat everything put in front of me moving forward

If you are greeted in the mirror with someone whose spare tyre is rapidly developing into something more morbid, you need to go on a diet honey. The truth is, it doesn’t matter how much you have gorged yourself on over the festive period, you simply do not get fat from eating a few extra turkey slices and having one too many mince pies. Getting porky takes time, and you’ve probably been kidding yourself that you’ve been eating healthily ever since your last size shrinking fad diet ended.

Before you start your annual panic buying of Savoy cabbage, get real. Don’t stock pile vegetables you won’t eat, just objectively assess the contents of your usual grocery trolley and get a grip. Bear in mind, ‘low fat’ and ‘sugar free’ means nothing if you are bingeing on carbohydrates. Also, prevent ‘diet cheating’ by not buying chips, chocolates, candies, soda, muffins and doughnuts in the first place; those items will not magically appear in your cupboard unless you buy them. Move more, eat less, lose the lard. Simple.

3) I resolve to accept that getting fit is not a passive process

Exercise is a bitch. There is no two ways about it. Like it or not you will need to engage in exercise at some point, unless you want a morbid prognosis from your doctor. Whatever you do, choosing something that you can easily fit into you day in sustained way is a good way to start. You don’t need any patronizing advice about walking from the bus stop or going for an extended walk with the dog, you simply have this knowledge yourself. If you are serious about weight loss and exercise, you will empower yourself to find the tools and solutions to achieve it. If you fling your hands in the air and say ‘I don’t know how to start’, maybe you should question if you really want it. After all, when human beings crave something, they usually find some way to make that happen – that extends to exercise.

4) I resolve to tackle my own self-esteem

While it is nice to cry on a shoulder of support when you are low or in crisis, routine pity-partying is about as disempowering as it gets. For those friends who love to listen, they should try to remember that amateur psychotherapy can do a lot of damage and put a lot of counsellors out of business. If you are the moaner, at some point, you need to take responsibility for your own life. Whatever your thoughts on metaphysics and your ability to create you own life, you need to accept your situation is one you got yourself into. If you are repeating the same self-destructive patterns and are met with the same self-loathing year in year out, you have a personal responsibility to get some help; not only for you, but for the good of your friends, family and other people you care about.

5) I resolve to accept that my life is boring because I watch too much television

A Sunday afternoon film is one thing, the compulsion to go home and turn on the TV to find out the outcome of what Actor A said to Actor B when fictional situation X occurred, or even worse, to be overwhelmed with indecisiveness and anxiety at the prospect of missing what Actor C said to Actor D after finding out that Actor E is sleeping with his husband on the other channel, then you probably need to get out more. Seriously though, are you going to waste your life watching other people engaging in a fictional one? Why would you want to live and watch somebody else’s adventure when you could be out having your own?

6) I resolve to accept that meeting a life partner is unlikely to involve Princes and Princesses and singing woodland animals

FACT: the internet is NOT full of weirdos and pedophiles so please get some perspective. If you really believe the world is such a dangerous place that you cannot even log onto your computer for fear of victimization, you are clearly desperate for some drama in your life. Weirdos and pedophiles are opportunistic people who exploit weakness and vulnerability of the young and stupid. Accepting you have some character judgment skills is your first weapon against these lunatics.

For the record, social networking or internet dating is a great way to meet people and you do not even have to sleep with them if you don’t want to. Those doom mongers who are full of foreboding stories are usually the same people who have never even given it a try. Like it or not, this is how we meet people these days and is it there really anything wrong with that? Is it better to meet someone online, or meet some leach in bar that is too tanked up to get your name right? Whatever you choose, you aren’t going to meet anyone if you don’t put yourself out there and they certainly won’t come knocking on your door asking to meet you unless you make it happen. Quit playing the lonesome blues and take charge.

6) I resolve to sort my own career out

Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and being surprised when you get the same rubbish results. That goes for any job where you feel sick at the prospect of going into the office. We’ve all done it and we’ve all gotten to that stage where our attitude stinks so badly that we either walk of our own accord or get fired following a nasty disciplinary. Take the lead, start looking for a new job at a time of your choosing, not of someone else’s.

7) I resolve to accept that entering stupid financial agreements is dumb

The North Atlantic is in crisis because we’ve spent too much and made some bad decisions – that includes over-stretching ourselves on mortgage agreements. While it’s easy to blame the bankers, people need to accept that they have contributed to their own debt by spending money they simply haven’t earned yet.

When you look at the housing situation objectively, it was never going to be realistic to buy a house for 200K, paint an accent wall and put down some laminate wood flooring and sell it on for 1 million a few years later. Sadly, many people bought into this delusion and in a rush to get a slice if the action, they over exposed themselves on the housing market by mortgaging themselves up to the eyeballs. Their bad, nobody else’s.

To get a grip of your finances, think about the financial services being advertised and consider how they make their money from you. Low APRs and retailers who are happy for you to and buy now and pay later, are making a mint living off the interest you pay them – that includes banks and mortgages regardless of how low their interest rate looks. Be realistic here, entering into lengthy financial agreements can cost you a fortune in cash and sleepless nights

I resolve to quit making New Year’s resolutions and sort my life out. Period.

If you must make a resolution, make this one. Resolve never to give your power away again. If you life sucks, change it. If you are porky, exercise and lose it. If you’re broke, quit spending it. If you are lonely, meet people. 2011 is so much more than a calendar change. It can be the start of something fantastic if you let it. Trust you own inner wisdom and accept that you are not a pawn in your own life. Take responsibility for everybody and everything in it, and set out to change things for the better and get the most out of life, preventing the need to make New Year’s resolutions at all!

It is amazing to see how people react to different situations under different circumstances. We are all ambitious and want the things to be done in a jiffy. But in actual terms it is the persistence which pays. One needs to be having patience with perseverance which actually pays rich dividends. After all you cannot become achiever in a days time and don’t forget, “Rome was not built in a day”.

Everyone want to be something in life. Contentment and commitment are two great pillars on which one can achieve almost every thing in life. Ambitions can be achieved and it is best to get most out of your talent which I feel is not tapped properly in the initial stages of life. One needs to be consistent and perpetual hardworking to achieve goals within time limits.’

It is the our own will power that guides us through in life. One needs to be in total control of ones own life unless someone else controls you both physically and emotionally. Watch your thoughts and watch keenly how you grow and delve into complete human being with progressive attitude towards life. One also needs to understand what job and situation demands. Give yourself completely to it if you desire the desired results and win over the situation in a matter of time. If one reassures ones own heart and mind, be determined to become achiever, then come what may, you will surely be a winner.

Will power and it's application. How, why, and when.

Will Power

Will power or self control is a idea that has eluded mankind in all of history. Why is it so hard to make yourself do something that is necessary to do. Will power is the core of personal development.

Many articles declare that will power is something like a muscle and that you can train. There are two problem with the idea. One is that to train your muscle you need will power, you need discipline and you need consistency. This is quite hard when you already have problems in these fields. The other is that you are acting against your feelings. more on this later on.

Definition of “Will Power”

First we have to define”Will Power”. Will Power is the force within us that makes us start, persist, and finish any task or effort. It’s very important to remember that will power is in our control only if we feel that it is in our control. If the feeling isn’t there you can’t have will power.

Feelings

The reason is that feelings are connected directly with will power. When you do something that demands will power you feel empowered, strong, happy and so on. It’s opposite is equally true. When you don’t have will power you feel week, worthless etc. Feelings emerge from situations.

If you go the movies the chances are you will feel relaxed. If you go through a dark alley at night the chances are that you will feel scared. It’s the situations that make us feel.

If you ever feel that control is out of your hands then your feeling is probably right. Many theories have developed ways to take feeling out of the equation. And it actually works, for a few. It’s very hard to act against your feelings.Put a cold glass of water in front of you. Then go for a 3 mile run, com back and sit down and stare at the water, hard right? Chances are that sooner or later you will drink that glass. It’s stupid to act against your feelings and to supress them.

What to do then?

The answer is to use for feeling to your advantage. The way to do that is to put yourself in situations where you are forced to act in a perticular way. For example if you want to get fired it’s easier to come late a few times and then get fired than to go into your superiors office to say you quit. Or to perhaps start a workout regimen, it’s easier to join a gym than to try to workout at home. Put yourself outside your comfort zone.

The main idea is to condition yourself to always act OUTSIDE your comfort zone, When you act outside your comfort zone the willpower is activley engaged, when you are inside your comfort zone your will power lies dorment and it’s very hard to get yourself to do a perticular task.

Example: What is easier? To get up from the soft sofa and go out for a jog, or sit on a hard floor in the cold and then get up for a run.

Act accordingly with what you want to achive. If you decide to workout after a days work, don’t come home first to eat. The chances are that you are going to be tired and stay home. Instead go directly to your gym after work and have a snack on the road or at the gym. When you are at the gym the chances are that you workout before you go home.

Instead of forcing yourself to engage your will power, put yourself in situations when you dont have any other option than using your will power.

When you activley act outside your comfort zone your will power is always engaged.

Article essence:

1 Will Power can only be used when it is in tune with our feelings

2 Will Power is easier to use when you are outside your comfort zone

3 Always be outside your comfort zone.
