After reading the book Carrie by Stephen King I had to write a reflection paper based on the historical significance of the time. I got a 100% on it. :) enjoy! Maybe read the book!

Stephen King: the ‘king’ of horror fiction. He is the master of the gore, the wicked, and the otherworldly. Most readers have heard his name, but have never dared to read his works. Those who have been ambitious enough to look into his stories may be surprised to what they’ll find. Not every book King has written is about senseless violence and bloodshed; each story has its own meaning and it’s amazing how deep their significances will go. A fine example of a book with great implications is Stephen King’s Carrie. Even though this novel is entirely fictional, it goes deeply into both historical and social issues during America in the 1970’s.

Carrie White, a quiet seventeen-year-old girl is a social outcast because of her strange behavior, shy reputation, and her physical appearance (skin, weight, hair, etc.) She is constantly being bullied by her peers and has been bullied ever since she had entered the Chamberlain school system in Maine. Carrie has nowhere to be accepted, not even at home with her mother, Margaret White, also referred to as Momma. Carrie’s bizarre behavior at school gets her bullied, and her religious-crazy mother beats her and locks her in closets to pray for hours, and tells Carrie that she should be ashamed of every aspect of her womanhood, including menstruation. This is where we get introduced to Carrie herself. Young Carrie White starts her period one day during P.E. , completely horrified and under the impression that she is bleeding to death. Her fellow classmates throw sanitary napkins at her yelling comments like “Plug it up!” and “PER-iod” at poor Carrie, making the situation that much worse. Carrie is sent home early to recover from her traumatic experience. When Momma finds out about her daughter’s period, Carrie is scolded and forced to pray to God in ‘the closet’ for the sin her body has committed.

In the end, Sue Snell (one of Carrie’s classmates who pitied her), had set Carrie up to go to prom with her boyfriend, Tommy Ross, so Carrie would be able to have a fun night and not have to deal with her lack of a high social status. Even this wasn’t enough, for prom night was a malicious and bloody disaster, leaving hundreds of people dead and a once small but lively town left in ruins. No one would ever quite recover. While Carrie is a completely fictional novel, its theme shouldn’t be ignored. Carrie’s plot is wild, unrealistic, and scarily horrifying, and those who read the book can get a lot out of it. There is both a historical and social significance behind this horror fiction, and it’s not hard to tell what they are.

Bullying is a huge issue in schools around the world and it still happens today. Emotional and physical cruelty towards another person is never right and should be acted on at all costs before it’s too late; that’s what Stephen King was trying to portray in Carrie. Carrie White was just another teenage girl living in a small town; she wasn’t that much different aside from her horrific home life and her telekinetic powers she had been born with (Carrie). She craved the acceptance of her peers, but was denied every time. Throughout Carrie, especially in the beginning, this denial is very prominent. “In fact, King often portrays Carrie in an animalistic fashion to accentuate the horror of the students’ bullying of one so vulnerable (Mahoney 230).” This is very true and there are many examples of this cruelty all throughout the novel. A lot of times, when Carrie is asked a question, she will respond with a grunt of “Ohuh?” as a response, and she even makes animal-like noises like braying and gobbling; that definitely got King’s point across. These brutal attacks on young Carrie continue both in the story and within the book’s tone, but it’s obvious that she isn’t just some sickening, corpulent girl. She has aspects of normality in her life; it’s simply distorted by her horrendous home life. “…She could fix her hair. Buy Pantyhose and blue and green tights. Make little skirts and dresses from Butterick and Simplicity patterns. She could be, could be, could be—Alive (King 42).” Carrie knows that she has the potential to be like other girls her age, but knowing that her mother is so religiously insane, she had no hopes of normalcy. It just couldn’t happen. And that’s what’s really sad about the whole aspect of bullying really; it’s judgment. They didn’t know much about her life or how she lived, and she was socially exiled and abused because of their assumptions. It isn’t right, and it will never be right. The mental impact the bullying had on Carrie got to the extent of death (for her and others), and this also applies in real life. “As King leads us toward the apocalyptic climax, he begins to warn about the dangers of intolerance. He seems to suggest an imminent judgment day for those who victimize outsiders and misfits (Mahoney 230).” Some people are pushed to extremes when they feel like they are useless and have nowhere to go. In Carrie, there is indeed a judgment day, and a killer one at that. But the cruelty of the bullying in Carrie had an underlying layer to it due to a major movement during the 1970’s.

1970’s America: The Vietnam war was winding down and coming to an end, Americans are petitioning for peace, and technology is on the rise again. The 1970’s was a time of major change for the United States, and it’s one of these major changes that ties into the theme of Carrie. The women’s rights movement of 1970 is the historical significance in Carrie, and though it isn’t as prominent as the bullying theme, it has a large part in how the book was written and what each of the characters went though. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 made it so employers could no longer deny people jobs based on an individual’s religion, gender, or ethnicity. Seven years after that, the Supreme Court agreed that treating people unequally because of sex violated the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (Moss and Wilson 51). Women now had won a few legal battles and had the morale to continue the fight for equal rights, trying to break the social and legal barricade so they would be seen as something more than an object and house care-taker. During the early 1970’s, the Equal Rights Amendment was being argued on whether to be passed or not. The women fought to get this law passed by doing protests, organizing feminist theater groups, and even making day-cares so mothers would be able to work and get out of the house. Also, when abortion was made legal in 1973, it gave women the power to do what they wanted with their own body (Moss and Wilson 51). These activists were fighting with all they had to lose their label that history had cursed them with: being an object. In Carrie, King weaves characteristics of the women’s rights movement throughout the novel. One of the features of the women’s rights movement was how women nationwide wanted to break away from the object label that they’ve carried with them for centuries, and sometimes it’s still battled even today.

Carrie had to grow up knowing that she would never be a beautiful and the media had portrayed other women, much like the earlier example of her comparing the models in Seventeen Magazine to her own appearance. Also, one of the characters of the novel, Chris Hargensen, was in a relationship where her boyfriend, Billy Nolan, was very rude to her and was only with her for her sexual purposes. Another example is how Sue Snell , the girl that took pity on Carrie and made prom possible for her, was with Tommy Ross, her boyfriend, and though he was a decent guy, she felt like she was obligated to have sex with him because of her battles with women’s complicated expectations in society. “There were dark things lumbering around their warm circle of light. The idea that she had let him F*ck her (do you have to say it that way yes this time i do) simply because he was Popular, for instance” (King 47). Social structure and how women fit into that status was seen as life or death to the women of this time, and even today. The women’s rights movement definitely impacted the Carrie’s theme and what the readers thought while reading the book.

Some critics claim that Carrie is a dated work, but really, it’s only dated in terms of the supernatural (Mahoney 231). There is a lot of meaning and history behind the horror-filled words Stephen King has scrawled across the pages of his very first published book. And to think, if his wife (Tabitha) had never taken the story out of the garbage can, that we would have never been exposed to King’s raw, powerful writing. Sure, Carrie is a fictional work, but his themes apply to society today just as well as it did back in the 1970’s. Bullying and equality towards women have been a problem for some time now, and issues with these things still occur. But those who read Carrie can learn something from the book that started the career of the world’s most famous horror writer. Bullying someone is always wrong, and lives can be in danger in the most extreme cases. In Carrie, hundreds of people died as well as Carrie, and though this is a bit unrealistic, bullying can lead to death if someone feels the need to take the life of someone else or themselves (Much like the Columbine school shooting on April 20th, 1999. The only difference being that Columbine was a true horror story.). The women’s rights movement has also changed how America works and made it so women are no longer discriminated for being a woman. This aspect in Carrie is more subtle but still makes itself clear from time to time. Carrie felt bad about herself because of the expectations she was expected to uphold to be an ideal American teenage girl; Sue felt like she had to have sex to maintain her social status, and Chris Hargensen (the girl who started it all) was used for her body and seen as nothing but an object. It may be difficult to imagine that these things could have happened some day, well, to some extent at least, but it probably did (aside from the supernatural and bloody content). Carrie’s hardships seem to hit the reader hard though, and that’s what keeps the reader engaged. “Carrie’s struggle strikes a painful chord in each reader; indeed, [Stephen] King seems to ask, don’t we all feel a part of Carrie, the misfit, the outsider (Mahoney 230)?”

If you've ever seen a guy in a bar walk up to a girl he didn't know and make out with her almost immediately, it can be a completely mind-blowing experience. It may seem like it's magical or out of reach - a special ability or super-power that someone is born with.

But it’s not. And it can be broken down into a few simple steps you can follow in order to make the same thing happen for you. In this article, I’m going to break down those steps.

The first step is to realize that about 90% of the difference between someone who’s really good with women and someone who’s not so good or mediocre with women, is the ability to spot a woman who’s ready to make out.

I know it sounds kind of crazy at first, but it’s true. If you walk into a bar and go up to any woman without knowing what signs to look for, your odds of success go WAY down.

You must know how to spot that woman who’s already in this “make-out ready” state, so you can walk up and be “that guy.”

Don’t buy into the myth that women don’t want this to happen.

Women are as sexual (if not more sexual) than guys are. Most of the time, this “turbo” make-out session never happens, because so many guys are afraid to go for it. And when this doesn’t happen, the girls end up going home alone or worse.. staying being kind of mean to a lot of guys in the bar/being resentful and angry because no one’s approaching them.

By putting this technique into practice, You want to discover how to see the women who you’re able to make out with in 40 seconds or less in the first place.

There are a few excellent indicators that will (especially in a bar atmosphere) tell you if a woman is game, or ready for an instant make-out session.

What To Look For

The first indicator is a woman looking down often. When a woman looks down often, she is accessing her emotions.

Let me explain… When we look in different directions, we access different parts of our brain. These are called “Eye Accessing Cues.” When a woman is in a bar setting and looking down, she’s accessing her emotional brain.

If she makes eye contact with you, looks down then back up again, she’s saying: “I have an emotional response to you looking at me and I’m looking down.” And if she tilts her head down as well (and doesn’t just use her eyes to look down), she’s physically dropping herself a little bit lower and showing submission.

This gives you the ability to walk up and be the dominant man.

Now, if she looks at you, smiles and doesn’t look away, this could be a lot more difficult situation. Socially, she’s meeting you head on, and not showing immediate submission.

Women who you’re going to be able to walk up to and make out with in 40 seconds or less should automatically take the submissive role as a woman. That’s one quality which shows you’ll be able to quickly make out with her.

Another quality is that she’s actively looking around to make eye contact. This is crucial. A woman who is engaged with someone specifically and she’s not looking away is not going to be as easy to seduce in 40 seconds or less. It’s going to take much longer.

Again, you’re going to have to play a totally different kind of game when you walk up. You can’t just walk up and make out with her.

So instead, if you see a woman who is in a conversation but she’s constantly looking around and trying to make eye contact with a lot of people, this is probably a very, very likely opportunity for you and that’s a woman you can walk up to and immediately become sexual with.

Other traits are revealed in the way they’re moving and how they’re dressed. Let’s say she’s standing with her feet about shoulder-width apart. It’s less likely that a woman standing like this is going to be available for you to walk up and dominate. That’s because she’s standing in a dominant position, with stronger body language and she’ll probably be a lot more resistant.

Instead, you want to find a woman who takes up less space. She has her legs closer together and seems to be outside of a group, looking around a little bit.

Another thing is the way she’s dressed. If she’s dressed in a way that’s super flashy and attracting lots of attention, she probably isn’t the kind of girl you can walk up to and make out with in 40 seconds.

This kind of women is looking for attention – not for someone to dominate them. What you want is someone who’s in between “I don’t care” and “Stare at my tits, bitch!” Somewhere between wearing sweatpants with an elastic waistband to the bar and done up really, really beautiful and sexy with a really low-cut shirt. You want to find someone who’s in between those two extremes.

A lot of women who are on vacation fall into this realm. They don’t want to over dress or under dress, and don’t know how the bar atmosphere is going to be. They’ll usually come in open-minded, and start looking around trying to make connections. This is an excellent situation for you (and her, of course).

That’s what to look for and how you spot her in the first place. If you see some of those, you want to watch her for a second. If you think that she is the kind of person you can walk up to and do this, then proceed.

If not, I’d actually suggest you proceed anyway, just to see what happens.

Next, right after you get that done and you’ve seen your girl (there are probably three or four of these girls in a bar at any given moment) you’re going to walk up and start the scary part.

What To Do

This is where the most powerful kind of frame control comes in. It’s very, very important that you understand how to control someone else’s frame if you want to come across like you’re a pro at this.

By “frame,” I basically mean their “reality.” You’re controlling what they experience. You have to be able to stay in control of that experience in order to really bring her to the level where she feels comfortable making out with you immediately.

I’m going to give you a very quick, punchy, fast way of doing this. I’ll explain as quick as possible; that way you can go straight out and try it…

Here’s what I would say, word-for-word… Walk up to a girl, when you get up to her and right when she makes eye contact with you, I want you to SLOWLY put your finger up by your lips and say this, “Shhh…”

Then slow your speech pattern down and deepen your vocal tonality. And immediately say, “Wait just one moment.”

You can also say, “Stop for one minute.” I suggest using a bit of NLP here. Whenever someone hears “stop,” “wait,” or “don’t,” they immediately register whatever comes after that.

So if I say, “Don’t think of a black cat,” what do you do? Immediately, you think of a black cat and whatever version of one you have in your head.

So if I said, “Don’t try to make out with me,” or “Don’t make out with me right now,” girls are going to be consciously hearing, “Don’t make out with me,” but their subconscious minds will be hearing, “Make out with me right now!”

You’re attempting to sort of use real-life Inception to get making-out with you to be HER idea. She should be thinking, “I should make out with this guy.”

Now, during frame control you’ll be using a lot of these subconscious triggers in order to get this to go as fast as possible. Please only use this for good. There are lots of evil ways to use this.

Don’t try to seduce women who don’t want to be seduced. Again, that’s one of the reasons why it’s important that you notice a woman who really does want to be seduced by a man.

So to recap so far: you walk up, you put your finger over your lips and you tell her to “Shhh” for a second and then you say a sentence that starts with “don’t” or “wait” or “stop.”

My typical is “Don’t worry… right now.” That’s all I say. And I slow that speech down – “Don’t…worry………. right now.”

Then I go right into the next statement, which is, “You and I are going to have a secret. We’re going to secretly kiss and no one will know.”

And as I’m saying this, I’m leaning in… and you’ll be doing the same when you do it. You’re leaning in ever… so… slowly. At the same time, you’re looking from her eyes down to her lips and back up to her eyes again.

This is called “Triangulating.” Count to three looking at her eyes, then look down to her lips and count to two, look back up and count to three, look down and count to two… etc. Do that about three or four times as you’re talking.

This can be a lot to remember, so you may want to practice it a little bit. I wouldn’t expect you’re going to get it perfect the first time.

So again, you say, “We’re going to have a secret. We’re going to kiss and no one is going to know.” From here on out, you’re really just filling up space with words as you’re leaning in so you’re still controlling the interaction.

So you’re going to very, very slowly, take your right or left hand – whichever one is more accessible – and reach around her back. You won’t pull her in toward you or anything yet, just touch her very lightly.

Signs That It’s Working

Is she looking at your lips? If she’s looking at your lips, you have a green light to go forward. If she’s looking at your eyes, you may want to wait a second, or turn around and turn back again and try it again.

This resets the meter in her mind, so to speak. When you turn around and turn back again, most people consider this to be a fresh start in a conversation. It’s a strange loop-hole in psychology.

For some reason, that’s how we are as humans. When someone turns away then turns back, we give them another chance moving forward. So if you’re getting some resistance, turn around, turn back, smile, and continue. If she gives you resistance again, you probably should back off and find another woman.

If she’s looking at your lips and seems to be very comfortable and excited, then proceed. You’ll move in very closely and speak almost directly into her ear.

!Important!

In a loud environment like a bar, you’ll want to speak louder, but don’t raise your voice. Make your voice very low so that you have to be very, very close to her ear for her to hear.

Then you’re going to keep talking… What I usually say is, “No one is going to see this. It’s just going to be our little secret. I promise I won’t tell anybody only if you promise that you won’t tell anybody either.”

As I’m saying this into her ear, I make sure that she’s feeling my breath on her neck. So I’m sort of breathing out a little bit more than normal as I’m speaking so she can feel that hot air on her neck.

This usually gets a very visceral, deep, sexual response from women when you do this.

As you’re speaking really close to her ear, you’ll, very slowly, press your cheek against hers as you’re talking. Then you’ll move you head over so that your mouth is closer to hers, and then… you’ll start kissing her.

And if you do this right, you start out with just one soft peck… then go straight into making out. It may not seem like it in this description, but 40 seconds is a long time. This process can happen in a lot less than 40 seconds – I’ve done it in less time, and I’ve seen other guys do it, too.

Practice It

What I want you to do is practice this approach. Maybe go for a minute or two at first, and then get to where you can do this in about 40 (or even 30) seconds.

You won’t use this tactic all the time. But when the opportunity is right, it’s really good to have this in your seduction arsenal. You want to make sure that you have the right kind of tools for the job, so to speak.

Whenever you see a girl who’s in that state and ready to be seduced, if you beat around the bush, engage in small talk or generally waste time, she’ll be turned off and you’ve lost a golden seduction opportunity.

Instead, when you spot this, you want to be able to see her, know that that’s what she wants, go in, and give it to her immediately. This is the major difference between guys who are rock stars at walking up and seducing a woman… and guys who wish that they were great at quickly seducing a woman.

There are a lot of other success factors as well. There are techniques on how to speak with the right tonality… how to touch her that allows her to feel comfortable and doesn’t turn off any of her weird alert switches… specific NLP triggers that you can use to connect and make sure she’s totally in your zone.

What’s taken me from a normal dude to a well-respected dating coach, is knowing a lot of short-cuts like this and knowing when to bring them out. And these short-cuts can also improve your game with women.

Remember these characteristics in women who want to be seduced, and remember – it is possible to make out with a woman in 40 seconds or less.

A. Sexting

Talk naughty indeed could be one way to excite. You even think to try that way to send SMS or BBM contains naughty words or even a sexy photo. If you are not ready to put to shame because of this photo spread, you should not do it.

4. Sex in Public

Some of you may have a bad idea to have sex in public places. Some examples include sex in public sex in the office toilet, a car that was parked, a quiet hotel swimming pool or library. Although there was a very exciting time, you certainly know about the risk of having sex in public places are. Consequences which may face from other people caught up arrested by the authorities.

5. Sex in the Bathroom

Actually there is nothing wrong with sex in the bathroom. This method can be done when you are tired of having sex and your partner in bed. But the idea of sex is still risky because if you and he is not careful, injuries can occur due to slip.

Gina Rinehart (image: BBC)

Quoted from the BBC, Saturday (05/26/2012), a leading business magazine BRW Gina suggested the current property value reached USD 29 billion or U.S. $ 23 billion, about USD 207 trillion.

This 58-year-old woman managed to increase his wealth by leaps and bounds in the last year. BRW is said, of its iron ore mining business, Gina earned AUD 52 million per day, USD 1 million per half hour, and EUR 600 per second.

Gina obtains an increase in wealth due to his business mine field, especially iron ore prices continued to rise sharply in the last 6 months. Through these riches, Gina defeated Christy Walton with a fortune of U.S. $ 25 billion.

Christy is a wealthy U.S. businessman who has an network of Wal-Mart retail business. Gina is also known by the controversy that opposed the government policy about the imposition of taxes for mining companies by the Australian government.

Gina’s mining assets inherited from his father, Lang Hancock never faced a lawsuit from his son. Three of the four children have filed a lawsuit against Rinehart for the operation of the family fortune and the possibility of control of most of his wealth will be taken.

A Texas woman who was convicted of killing a 3-month-old baby but claimed she merely dropped him could be released from her cell on death row and receive a new trial.

Texas Judge Jon Wisser has submitted a formal recommendation to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to toss the conviction of Cathy Lee Henderson for the murder of 3-month-old boy in 1994.

Henderson, now 55, was found guilty of killing her infant neighbor, Brandon Baugh, while she babysat, and then burying the body in a wine cooler box 60 miles from the home and fleeing the state. Henderson maintained throughout her trial that she accidentally dropped the boy on her concrete floor, from four-and-a-half feet in the air, while swinging him around to try and calm him.

[Related: Texas governor defends Mexican's execution]

Dr. Roberto Bayardo, the Travis County, Texas, medical examiner, refuted that claim, saying that the injuries sustained by the baby would not have been possible from that height.

“The infant would have had to fall from the height higher than a two-story building,” he concluded, and ruled the death a homicide, according to brief filed in the Criminal Appeals Court by Wisser.

But new research suggests that Bayardo’s conclusion may not be accurate, and Bayardo testified at a 2007 hearing that he would not have ruled the same way if he had details on the new research at the time of the trial.

“I think if you took away Dr. Bayardo’s testimony at the first trial that the jurors would not have convicted Ms. Henderson,” Wisser told ABC News affiliate KVUE.

“I believe it was very difficult for the jurors to separate the death of the infant from Ms. Henderson’s subsequent behavior,” said Wisser.

Henderson came within two days of her death sentence in 2007 before receiving a last-minute reprieve based on the new scientific evidence and Bayardo’s change of opinion. In the intervening years, Wisser has toiled over whether Henderson’s verdict should be tossed, he told KVUE.

“In the 16-17 years (since), things have changed,” Wisser said. “We have more scientific proof and evidence that I thought a jury should have the opportunity to consider.”

Wisser’s recommendation will land on the desks of the nine Texas Court of Criminal Appeals judges, who will issue a ruling sometime in the “next few months,” according to the court.

[Related: 10 contested death penalty cases]

The judges will either deny Wisser’s recommendation or set a date for a hearing on the matter, in which prosecutors and defense attorneys could argue for a new trial. The court can either release Henderson from prison immediately while the two sides prepare for the hearing, or continue holding her in jail until a final decision is reached.

Eryn Baugh, the father of the infant that was killed, is dismayed at the development, according to KVUE.

“It is extremely difficult,” Baugh told the station. “We came within two days of having this over with and having her executed and getting on with our lives. Now we are back in a courtroom and hearing what is basically a bunch of junk science that is basically going on over the death of my son.”

This article expresses my emotions and memories while watching the move "Imagine." John Lennon was truly a gifted musical genius.

I just watched the movie about John Lennon titled ‘Imagine.’ The movie was poignant in many regards, but the portions of the movie that moved me most was the death of his mother, the Beatle’s first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show and the death of John Lennon.

John Lennon was sixteen years old when his mom died. The songs John Lennon sang after the death of his mother were very sad and poignant. Those songs brought out a lot of bitterness John Lennon felt deep inside. One of those songs was titled ‘Mother.’

The first appearance of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show moved me because I remember watching that show. I remember watching a news video of the Beatles being questioned by reporters at the airport before they performed on the Ed Sullivan show.

I loved the Beatle songs. I still have a music book containing all of the Beatle songs and use to play some of them on my recorder. One might say I grew up listening to the Beatles. I guess I will always be fond of the Beatle’s songs.

The most moving part of the movie ‘Imagine’ was the senseless death of John Lennon. That was a very sad day for many people.

Watching John Lennon’s senseless death in this movie brought out all the emotions and frustrations I harbor. It brought to mind all the crazy senseless hatred that exists in the world today. In current politics, it reminded me of the acts of the Tea Party.

These are the frustrations and emotions that the movie ‘Imagine’ invoked. John Lennon’s songs were always about himself and his experiences. In a sense, his music matured long before he did.

John Lennon spoke through his music. His music expressed his opposition to the Vietnam war in his song ‘Give Peace a Chance.’ His music expressed his unconditional love for his wife Yoko in his songs ’Starting Over’ and ‘Woman.’ He expressed his love for his children in his songs ‘Beautiful Boys’ and Beautiful Boy.’ His music expressed a kind of utopia particularly in the song ‘Imagine.’ It expressed his withdrawing from the musical world in his song ‘Watching the Wheels.’

The most appropriate way to end this article is with a link to the official web site of John Lennon. This list was not created by me and I am not affiliated with this web site.

What ever happened to the idea of loving, protecting and providing for your partner?

I would like to first say: I know this topic is very sensitive to many.I mean no disrespect by voicing my views, feel free to give your opinion too,I welcome it……

I look at older married couples and wonder how did they stay together for 20,30+ years. It seems so rare to see a couple last longer than a year or so. Which brings me to my first question…Why has chivalry died? Is it because marriage is not viewed and honored sacritly by most? Maybe it’s because single mothers have become the head of household? Have we forgotten how we all entered this world? Woman are designed and built to carry life and to endure pain to find paradise. The pains of labor is awful, yet most woman feel a bond of unconditional love at the same time.

In today’s society all relationships are not made up of man/woman,some are man/man or woman/woman.In my mind that doesn’t really matter, there’s still usaually a dominant spouse in each equation. In my younger years I would watch these princess movies, and like most children I wanted my very own knight in armor. It may have taken me a decade or two but I learned I’m no princess..and no one was coming to sweep me off my feet. That was when I had a life change and went from a dreamy little girl to a self proclaimed business woman.

Doing things on my own was so fulfilling and reassring for me…I forgot about my knight. Once I accomplished my goal of becoming independent I starting feeling lonely. When your stable and looking for love you may find more than what you bargained for. When I dated someone who was my financial equal,we didn’t seem to have anything in common but capitol.I watch so many celebs.. marry for money and then I watch them divorce for infidelities. They cheat because they were never in love, they were in an arrangement. Which to me is just painting the wrong picture of love for the youth and a mockery of family values. The lessoned I learned then was that money really can’t buy you love.

With my new lesson in mind I started opening myself of to ppl who seemed to have some of the same interest as I do. I thought if I had a mate that shared my pleasurable past-times,I would feel completed. The relationship started out great..until I started to notice that my partner had champagne taste…with beer money. There was also the issue with changing all of my shopping habits and the self splurging I had become accustomed to. It really made me feel guilty when I bought myself exspensive gifts, only because I knew he wanted to do those things for me. In my defense I would wait for months while he tried to save his money to buy a item for me that I could have purchased six times over.Eventually I started to feel like his loan shark and he felt co-depenant. The relationship ened horribly and I felt awful. Was my ego the biggest issue in our downfall or was it his pride?

Now I am in limbo..asking myself what ever happened to 50/50? If one party carries the bulk of a load it’s not a partnership. Couples are suppose to complete eachother. This is why I believe everyone has a soulmate/twin flame, finding them is the problem. In ancient times ppl believed that most soulmates don’t even walk the earth at the same time. Very few of us have met our equal and if you have, treasure them always. Not much in life is fare, yet I still feel some things should atleat be made equal. We fought for civil rights, womans’ rights, and many other issues. It is time to fight again…this time fight for your families, your children, equality, and most of all LOVE.With out love we are doomed as a whole, without family values are children and the next generation are oblivious to what love is. How do you know if what you feel is a healthy love if you have never been exposed to it? It’s like being a jack of all trades : yet a master at none

You should be there when they need you the most.

If you have a friend who has just been through a difficult break up, then you might be wondering about how you can help them through it. This article will help to give you some ideas about what you can do to improve their mood and so that you can be a good friend to them

Encourage them to talk to you. Even if they say that they don’t want to, talking is one of the best things that we can do when we’re going through a difficult time, as it helps for us to talk things through in our own heads and come to conclusions. Your friend might not have had anyone else who they could talk to about it, and this means that you would be even more of a help to them than you might actually realise.

Give them good advice. Although it might be easy for you to just take them out and get them drunk to drown their sorrows, this isn’t going to help them in the long term. Instead, you should sit with them and talk through the things that went wrong in their relationship and the things that they could do better the next time. Talking about the fact that there is going to be a “next time” will help for them to get things straight in their own head, which is very important when you have just been through a break up.

Don’t let your friend keep any trace of their ex. Although it might be tempting to let them keep a photo just for old time’s sake, this is not good, as there is no way that they’re going to be able to move on while they still have things about their ex where they live. If they can’t face getting rid of everything, you should offer to put it all in a box and keep it in your house until they have had more time to think about it. That way, they dont have to throw them away but they’re not able to look at them for the whole of their days either.

Show them a good time. If you are in a group of friends, then it is very important that you invite the friend who has been through the break up out with you whenever you possibly can. This will serve to remind them that there is a life after the person who they loved, and that they still have a lot of friends who are going to be there for them if they need you to be.

Help them move on. Don’t specifically tell them that they need to date other people, because sometimes it can feel as though they’re cheating on the person that they had been with. Instead, just take them out an encourage them to be friendly with people, and this might eventually result in them forming a new relationship with them.
