<p>I was married for fourteen years. &nbsp;It started out with verbal and emotional abuse but then it became progressively worse over the &nbsp;years. &nbsp;It came &nbsp;to a &nbsp;boiling point on June 9, 2001 when my ex-husband tried to murder &nbsp;me. &nbsp;I had no college education and three young children to take care of. &nbsp;I was sinking where I was. &nbsp;I lived in Bradley, California at the &nbsp;time. &nbsp;I wasn&#8217;t making enough money to support them so I moved back home for a while. &nbsp;I had a great deal of emotional baggage and sought counselling and support groups for my mental health after my domestic violence experience. &nbsp;</p>
<p>I also over the &nbsp;years became obese. &nbsp;I had been 118 pounds at eighteen years old. &nbsp;I have been &#8220;yo-yoing&#8221; over the years. &nbsp;I was also an on again, off again smoker until I finally quit after &nbsp;my TIA. &nbsp;I hate being obese and am trying to lose weight again. &nbsp;This time, I am going to all of the right things to maintain my weight loss this time. &nbsp;I am not at my goal weight but I am slowly getting there. &nbsp;It takes time and patience to lose weight. &nbsp;I realize it is &nbsp;extremely hard for people to quit smoking. &nbsp;As I said earlier, I was an on again, off again smoker. &nbsp;What worked for me was doing crosswords, word finds. or some other kind of puzzles every time I got a craving for a cigarette. &nbsp;I focused on something else other than the craving. &nbsp;It worked for me but I realize that what may work for one person, may not work for another. &nbsp;Everyone must do what they know will work for them. &nbsp;I am speaking of both losing weight and quitting smoking. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>Women always seem to trap men by asking them: &nbsp;&#8221;Does my but look big in this dress, pants,etc.?&#8221; &nbsp;I know I have a fat but and yes, the pants or whatever I am wearing is going to make my butt look bigger but I do not care because I know I am fat! &nbsp; &nbsp;If you do not like the way your look, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! &nbsp;Don&#8217;t put your man in a position if he tells the truth, you bitch at him and if he lies, you say you are lying and bitch at him. &nbsp;Do not put him in that position. &nbsp;Another thing is do not sweat the small stuff. &nbsp;Look at the toilet seat before you sit down. &nbsp;I know some of us are half asleep and what not and fall in. &nbsp;But don&#8217;t yell at him for leaving the seat up. &nbsp;Everyone should put the seat and lid down because the water from the toilet while it is going down, there is a mist that &nbsp;rises and gets into your soap, toothbrush and what not. &nbsp;Women also complain about men going out with their buddies. &nbsp;Men need that. &nbsp;Especially if they constantly are on the computer or video games. &nbsp;They need to get out with their buddies. &nbsp;They must call you to let you know if they are too drunk to drive or something so you don&#8217;t worry but, let them go. Don&#8217;t bitch at them if they look at other women. &nbsp;Men look, especially at boobs.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I would like to start off by asking everyone one simple question. If you had a wonderful, sweet, little innocent baby or child&nbsp;would you&nbsp;choose to&nbsp;kill it because you made&nbsp;a wrong decision in your life, or you had a misfortunate event happen&nbsp;to you&nbsp;(rape)? No,because it wasn&#8217;t the child&#8217;s fault.</p>
<p>&nbsp;Everyone makes mistakes in their life, but you should learn from them, ask forgiveness from God, and know that it wasn&#8217;t the&nbsp;child&#8217;s fault.&nbsp;&nbsp;So why should the innocent life of your own baby be shed when you are the one who made the decision to be so careless. Why? God loves every single person on this earth; men, women,children, and all the unborn infants too. It&#8217;s a life not a choice.</p>
<p>There are alternate options. If you feel you can not handle a child to love and care for all of the days of it&#8217;s life, if you are not emotionally ready, over 2 million citizens of America are waiting to adopt a child. Some who cannot have their own children to love, all, who are willing to do anything, desperate, even if the child is disabled. Take a look at the man in the mirror.</p>
<p>&nbsp;Every child is a wanted child. Give your baby a chance,&nbsp;a chance to live. 115,000 flames, are scorched out per day, as 115,000 lives, will never be given the chance to live. Post Abortion Syndrome&nbsp;includes depression,nightmares,regret, and thoughts of the aborted child. Make the right decision; choose life, choose love.</p>
<p>In the words of Michael Jackson, this is for all the lost children.</p>

<p>On the fifteenth of May, in the jungle of Nool,<br />In the heat of the day, in the cool of the pool,<br />He was splashing&hellip;enjoying the jungle&rsquo;s great joys&hellip;<br />When Horton the elephant heard a small noise.</p>
<p>So Horton stopped splashing. He looked towards the sound.<br />&ldquo;That&rsquo;s funny,&rdquo; thought Horton. &ldquo;There&rsquo;s no one around.&rdquo;<br />Then he heard it again! Just a very faint yelp<br />As if some tiny person were calling for help.<br />He looked and he looked. He could see nothing there<br />But a small speck of dust blowing past though the air.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I say!&rdquo; murmured Horton. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve never heard tell<br />Of a small speck of dust that is able to yell.<br />So you know what I think?&hellip;Why, I think that there must<br />Be someone on top of that small speck of dust!</p>
<p>&ldquo;&hellip;some poor little person who&rsquo;s shaking with fear<br />That he&rsquo;ll blow in the pool! He has no way to steer!<br />I&rsquo;ll just have to save him. Because, after all, <br />A person&rsquo;s a person, no matter how small.&rdquo;</p>
<p>This excerpt is from a book called <u>Horton Hears a Who</u> written by Dr. Seuss. I find it to bear a striking resemblance to how our society responds to our tiny ones today. Being an active member of the Bound For Life organization, I know the devastating facts and the consequences of abortion. In America about three thousand five hundred babies die from abortion a day, that&rsquo;s one baby killed every twenty four seconds. I hope that by explaining the inhumanity of this heinous procedure it ignites and encourages you to take up this cause and fight for those who cannot fight for themselves, because after all, <br />because a person&rsquo;s a person no matter how small.</p>
<h3>The Effects on the Family</h3>
<p>Abortion has devastating and lasting effects on the mother of the baby, During the process of research for this speech, I searched many feminist, women&rsquo;s health web sites and Planned Parenthood, not once do they explain to women that&nbsp; the effect of abortion are far worse than just having the child.&nbsp; According to Heartbeat International, there are many psychological and physical effects on the woman after abortion, such as Complications with other pregnancies, greater risk of breast cancer, and they are five times more likely to have problems with substance abuse. If abortion is supposed to be a NOD to women&rsquo;s health then why does it seem to be causing health problems that otherwise would not have been there?&nbsp; Many people will argue that abortion is for the health of women but the truth is that, According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, 99 percent of abortions are of personal choice, and only 1 percent of abortions were for hard case issues.</p>
<h3>The Child</h3>
<p>In the womb there are milestones that the unborn baby reaches. Day eighteen of the child&rsquo;s growth it&rsquo;s heart begins to beat, Day 21 it pumps it own blood through its body, At 4 weeks from conception, a baby&#8217;s eye, ear, and respiratory systems begin to form. A baby&#8217;s brainwaves can be detected at 6 weeks from conception. At 8 weeks from conception, a baby&#8217;s heartbeat can be detected by a stethoscope. By 9 weeks from conception, a baby is able to bend her fingers around an object in her hand. By 11 to 12 weeks the baby is breathing fluid steadily, can swallow and continues to do so until birth.</p>
<h3>Types of Abortion</h3>
<p>Now I&rsquo;d like explain each of the three forms of abortion used in America.</p>
<p>The first is Dilation and Curettage &ndash; this procedure is when the cervix is dilated and the endometrial lining of the uterus is scraped with a curette then the remains of the baby are removed.</p>
<p>&nbsp;<br />The second Suction and Aspiration &#8211; A method of abortion performed during the first trimester of pregnancy, in which the contents of the uterus (the baby) are sucked out through a high suction narrow tube.</p>
<p>The third is Saline Poisoning &#8211; salt water is injected into the womb. The baby inhales it and swallows it and is poisoned by it. Salt is abrasive and corrosive, so the baby can also be burned by it, leaving the skin red and raw looking. It is sad that a person can get 1 month to 40 years in jail for not feeding a dog but for the killing of an innocent baby there is no punishment.</p>
<h3>The Effects On Our Nation</h3>
<p>According to Life Matters Outreach, during the course of a year 2 million new adoption requests are given to adoption agencies and go unanswered. This is sad seeing as there are 1.2 million babies aborted every year, when there is a home waiting for each of them. Because of abortion we have lost so much as a nation, We could have lost the person who was destined to find the cure for cancer, or maybe even the person who would figure out how to sustain life on the mars, or maybe the person who was supposed to be your best friend. Ronald Regan said,&rdquo; It seems the only people rallying for abortion are those were given the chance to live.&rdquo; This is true on all accounts.</p>
<p>In conclusion, As everyone in the book Horton and the Whos, they were ready to kill those tiny people by the ones and by the twos. They did not believe that they were really there, much like today they believe there&rsquo;s no baby in there. So take up your gear and man your stations, please join me and fight for the next generation.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Should I put this speck down&hellip;&rdquo; Horton thought with alarm.<br />&ldquo;If I do, these small persons may come to great harm.<br />I can&rsquo;t put it down. And I won&rsquo;t! After all<br />A person&rsquo;s a person. No matter how small.&rdquo;</p>

<p>There are other, more serious causes of dyspanreunia.&nbsp; Infections can cause pain, burning or irritation, especially at the opening or within the vagina.&nbsp; Yeast infections are the common reason.&nbsp; Bladder infections and some sexually transmitted diseases can also do this. </p>
<p>Experiencing deep pain during intercourse is a warning that there is a more serious problem such as an ovarian cyst, endometriosis, infection in the uterus or tubes, or tubes, or if you&#8217;ve had surgery, scar tissue.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Only an examination by your doctor will give you a definitive reason for your dyspareunia.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have some alarming news for us the human species, we are very quickly becoming extinct. In the past 100 years synthesized chemicals have slowly been changing our physiology, especially in males. Studies have shown though out almost every species infertility is a wide spread phenomenon. The males especially are being affected by this chemical soup we have polluted our selves with.</p>
<p>95% of the items we have are made from some for of synthesized chemicals, everything from sheets and bedding, toys and furniture, personal hygiene products, baby products, food and so much more. These chemicals had once thought harmless due to the small amounts used in these products, but constant prolonged exposer is only now being realized as a true threat.</p>
<p>Mothers are having a higher then ever rate in miscarriages and across the world less and less males are being produced. The males that are lucky enough to be born have had a dramatic change in testosterone levels; levels are as low as ever. These levels are causing males to have smaller penises and less sperm count, or in some cases a greater sperm count but the sperm are stupid and can&#8217;t find their way. Studies are showing that since the 1950&#8217;s male sperm counts have lowered over 50% in some cases, this is also true for many mammals, reptiles and aquatic creatures. Studies also show that their has been a significant rise in testicular cancer in younger men.</p>
<p>What have we done to our selves, our children and our world, and is it too late to fix it? I really don&#8217;t have an answer to this; I don&#8217;t even know where one might begin. Just take a look around your home, office or car everything in it has been made with synthetic by-products. All our food is filled with preserves and god only knows what else, the soft safe toys we give our infants to play with are made from toxic synthetic chemicals. Everyday we ingest, absorb and breathe in these chemicals. When we put skin cream on, the lovely smell of cleanliness (chemical) is penetrating our bodies.</p>
<p>Many studies around the world have proven just what I am saying, this is no false accusations only truth. The future is a scary place, if we no longer produce males and lose the ability to produce all together where will that leave us, the human species, and not just us but every creature that we share the world with.</p>
<p>I ran my own test of these theories here is what I found&hellip;.</p>
<p>I live in a small community of 32 houses, there are 15 children under the age of 12 years out of 15 children, their are only 2 boys.</p>
<p>My oldest child in the 5th grade, their are 22 children in her class, she is one of 14 girls leaving only 8 boys.</p>
<p>My youngest daughter, yes I have two girls&hellip;.my youngest has 18 kids in her class guess how many are boys? Only 5 leaving 13 girls.</p>
<p>Out of the 8 girls I grew up with 5 of them have had kids in total they have 9 kids, 6 girls and 3 boys, not including me who has 2 girls&hellip;.so 11 girls and 3 boys&hellip;</p>
<p>These statistics can be found in almost every city across the world, especially in those cities and towns based in and around large factories, chemical plants, and other related industrial businesses. Do your own test the results may surprise you&hellip;.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m afraid for what the future holds for us aren&#8217;t you?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Abortion is &ldquo;The direct murder of the innocent&rdquo; &#8211; Pope Pius XI (1922-1939)</p>
<h3>What is abortion?</h3>
<p>Pope Pius XI provided us with one definition of abortion. There are others. Prior to the mid 1970&#8217;s abortion was a medical term used to describe the termination of a pregnancy before the fetus is viable. Generally this occurs before the twentieth week of pregnancy.</p>
<p>Also prior to the mid 1970&#8217;s the word &ldquo;abortion&rdquo; had another connotation for the general public. &ldquo;It was associated with the sordid connotation of being a criminal act.&rdquo; Pages 656-657 The Textbook of Basic Nursing.</p>
<p>Up until the decision rendered by the Texas courts in the Roe versus Wade case, within the medical profession there were different words used to describe the various causes or phases of abortion.</p>
<ul>
<li>Threatened Abortion &#8211; this is nature causing, occurring early in the pregnancy. If medical treatment is immediately sought the pregnancy can usually be saved. </li>
<li>Inevitable Abortion &#8211; Nature causing with the pregnancy terminating as the abortive process is too far advanced for medical treatment to save it. </li>
<li>Incomplete Abortion &#8211; is just as the term implies, the abortion induced by nature, was not complete; the woman usually under goes a surgical procedure to remove the remains of the pregnancy. Infection can result if this procedure is not done. </li>
<li>Habitual Abortion &#8211; For some women it is difficult for them to carry a pregnancy to term. When repeated pregnancies result in a natural causing abortion it is called a habitual abortion. </li>
<li>Therapeutic Abortion &#8211; a pregnancy that is terminated by a physician. In the United States, it was legally permitted only in instances in which the mother&#8217;s life was at risk. (This was the standard prior to the Roe vs. Wade case). </li>
<li></li>
<li>Criminal Abortion &#8211; The termination of a pregnancy without medical justification. </li>
</ul>
<p>However modernly, Merriam-Webster&#8217;s Colligate Encyclopedia sheds more light on abortion as the world perceives it today.&nbsp; &ldquo;Abortions occur today through intentional medical intervention and are performed to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Preserve the mother&#8217;s life or her health </li>
<li>Prevent pregnancy resulting from rape or incest </li>
<li>Prevent the birth of a child who is believed to be born with severe medical problems </li>
<li>End the pregnancy because the mother and/or the father do not feel her or them, want a child at this time in their life.&rdquo; (The reasons could be financial, social, or personal).</li>
</ul>
<h3>History of Abortion</h3>
<p>It is often thought that abortion is of modern times. But there isn&#8217;t anything new about abortions being done to end pregnancies. It is as old as many of the ancient cultures.</p>
<p>It was a common way to eliminate families, in order to keep family sizes manageable and to eliminate family hereditary laws in ancient Greece and Rome. And like today, the early Christian theologians vehemently condemned this practice.</p>
<p>During the Middle Ages in Europe, abortions became widely accepted. It wasn&#8217;t until the mid nineteenth century that severe sanctions were issued by the church, (the church wielded a lot of power at this time) to deter abortions.</p>
<p>By the twentieth century in many European countries these sanctions were gradually modified. From the Victorian Era (1860-1900) through to the 1970&#8217;s abortion was strictly taboo unless it was medically justified. The social stigma which accompanied a woman who had an abortion for any reason except that which was a matter of life or death was extremely effective.</p>

<p>Definitely in the twenty years following the Supreme Court&#8217;s decision in the case of Roe vs. Wade, abortions escalated. In the first ten year period abortions escalated by two hundred forty-two thousand, four hundred. Yet in the next ten year period from 1987-1997, there was a decline of two hundred twenty-four thousand one hundred.</p>
<p>Quite possibly the first ten year period (1977-1987), was a period of women getting abortions at any low cost &ldquo;clinic&rdquo; they could find. Sadly many of these low cost &ldquo;clinics&rdquo; were staffed by people who had little experience as a medical specialist. Most were not licensed. As a result many of these women were physically and emotionally scarred for life. There are statistics of many deaths occurring as a result of botched up abortions by abortion clinic staff that were only slightly better than butchers. The Roe vs. Wade law ushered in a tidal wave of these types of quacks, who were anxious to cash in on the mega dollar opportunity spurn by this court decision.</p>
<p>In the second ten year period, more information became available to women about abortion, its risks, and the dangers often associated with the unethical abortion clinics of the previous ten years. At this time, many alternatives to abortion became known to women who now had choices regarding their pregnancy. Some of the alternatives were centers which offered support to women who wanted to give birth to their baby. Others found the option of giving their baby up for adoption more appealing. And for the mother who wasn&#8217;t sure how she could manage raising her baby, there was the option of placing the child in a foster home, until she could determine if she would be capable of raising her baby.</p>
<h3>Roe vs. Wade</h3>
<p>A lot of talk but I am afraid not much real understanding of this dynamic piece of legislation that has been one of the hottest controversial issues of the last thirty years.</p>
<h3>What Does This Law Provide?</h3>
<ul>
<li>All State laws limiting a woman&#8217;s access to abortions during the first trimester of pregnancy were rendered invalid. </li>
<li>State laws limiting such access during the second trimester were upheld only when the restrictions were for the purpose of protecting the health of the pregnant woman. </li>
<li>It legalized abortion in the United States which was not legal in many states and was limited by law in others. </li>
</ul>
<h3>Background of the Roe vs. Wade Decision</h3>
<p>Norma McCorvey was given the alias of &ldquo;Jane Roe&rdquo; in this case. It was on her behalf that this suit was originally filed. The allegation was that the abortion laws in Texas violated her constitutional rights and the rights of other women. Henry B. Wade, District Attorney of Dallas County, Texas was the defendant.</p>
<p>The decision of this case was primarily decided on the Ninth Amendment. What does the Ninth Amendment provide? The text of this Amendment is as follows:</p>
<p>&ldquo;The enumeration of the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.&rdquo;</p>
<h3>How Is The Ninth Amendment Interpreted By The Courts?</h3>
<p>&ldquo;The Ninth Amendment has generally been regarded by the courts as negating any expansion of governmental power on account of the enumeration of rights in the Constitution, but the Amendment has not been regarded as further limiting governmental power.&rdquo; Wikipedia &#8211; Ninth Amendment to the United States Constitution pg. 2.</p>
<p>The decision of the courts in the Roe vs. Wade case was that the Ninth Amendment, in stating that, &ldquo;the enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people,&rdquo; protects a person&#8217;s right to privacy.</p>
<h3>How Did This Decision Become So Controversial?</h3>
<p>Perhaps the most logical way to understand the current controversy of this law if to take a step backwards in history to understand the attitude among the medical, legal and Judeo-Christian societies.</p>
<h3>Ancient Attitudes</h3>
<p>In many ancient civilizations abortion was practiced without scruple. However in Greece and Rome the laws in existence offered very little protections to the unborn. If and when abortion was prosecuted, the basis seemed to be primarily out of concern for the father&#8217;s right to his offspring being violated.</p>
<h3>Hippocratic Oath</h3>
<p>However one law which came into existence during the antiquity period of Greece was the Hippocratic Oath. A portion of this Oath clearly stated abortion is not an option for any doctor to perform.</p>
<p>The context as translated is clear: &ldquo;I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked, nor suggest any such counsel. I will not give to a woman a pessary to produce abortion.&rdquo; (A pessary is a device worn in the uterus to prevent conception or to support a displaced uterus &#8211; Webster&#8217;s New World Dictionary pg 1063) In like manner another translation reads: &ldquo;I will neither give a deadly drug to any body if asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly, I will not give a woman an abortive remedy.&rdquo; (Reference: Pg. 2 Abortion: Women&#8217;s History &#8211; Roe v. Wade Supreme Court Decision Internet Article)</p>
<p>It is curious that the Hippocratic Oath would clearly state abortion was not an option for medical treatment, especially when most of the great Greek philosophers commended abortion prior to viability.</p>
<p>One possible explanation for this position might be the result of Pythagoras, a philosopher and mathematician who founded a philosophical school bearing his name. This school originated as a religious brotherhood or association for the moral reformation of society.</p>
<p>(Reference: pg. 1329 Merriam Webster Colligate Encyclopedia). Abortion was considered highly immoral if indeed not blatantly criminal, as they believed the embryo was living or animate from the moment of conception. Thus abortion meant destruction of a living being: Or as Pope Pius XI stated, &ldquo;Murder of the innocent.&rdquo;</p>
<h3>Common Law, Christian Theology, and Canon Law</h3>
<p>Common law is undisputed in its concept that abortion performed before the first recognizable movement of the fetus in the uterus, usually between the sixteenth and twentieth weeks of pregnancy, was not an offense punishable by law. Of course, the common law precept is absent of earlier philosophical, theological, civil and canon law concepts in determining when life begins.</p>
<p>Early Christian Theology as well as the Canon Law maintained life began at forty days for males and 80 days for females. This viewpoint was embraced until the eighteenth century.</p>
<h3>God&#8217;s Law</h3>
<p>Christian theology as well as the Canon law is not necessarily extracted from the Bible or God&#8217;s law. This may sound strange to some, but the more I hear of varying theologies and try to compare these to scriptures, I have learned there are vast differences.</p>
<p>Thus it is true regarding the question of when life begins. There is reason to believe that God knows His human creation even before conception. This provides powerful testament to the reality that human life is very viable at the time of conception. Consider these scriptures:</p>
<p>Jeremiah, Chapter one verse five (NIV) &#8211; &ldquo;Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I set you apart&hellip;&rdquo;</p>
<p>Isaiah , Chapter forty-nine, and verse one (NIV) &#8211; &ldquo;&hellip;Before I was born the Lord called me&hellip;&rdquo;</p>
<p>But Jeremiah and Isaiah were prophets &#8211; God&#8217;s chosen messengers! What about you and me?</p>
<p>Galatians, Chapter one, verse fifteen (RSV) &#8211; &ldquo;But when He who had set me apart before I was born, and had called me through His grace&hellip;&rdquo;</p>
<p>Ephesians, Chapter one verse four (NIV) &#8211; &ldquo;For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.&rdquo;</p>
<p>And since we know God is the Creator of the pre-born ( Psalm, chapter 139, verses 13-16 (NKJV): &ldquo;For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother&#8217;s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, marvelous are Your works and that my soul knows well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed, and in Your book were they all written; the days fashioned for me, when yet there were none of them.&rdquo;</p>
<h3>Examining the Controversy</h3>
<p>Thus we have the basis for controversy. But this is just the background &#8211; a sort of foundation. Let&#8217;s look at both sides of the abortion issue.</p>
<h3>Pro Abortion</h3>
<p>We have all heard the following slogans for the vast majority of those who have hopped onto the pro-choice, pro abortion band wagon for these are the same slogans the media as well as political candidates and officers parrot repeatedly:</p>
<p>&ldquo;Women must have control over their own bodies&rdquo;</p>
<p>&ldquo;Safe and legal abortion is every woman&#8217;s right&rdquo;</p>
<p>&ldquo;Who decides? You decide&rdquo;</p>
<p>&ldquo;Who will make the most personal decision of a woman&#8217;s life? Will women decide, or will politicians and bureaucrats in Washington?&rdquo;</p>
<p>&ldquo;Freedom of choice &#8211; a basic American right&rdquo;</p>
<p>If one would stop to think about each one of these slogans very carefully it might occur to them these are very emotionally charged.</p>
<h3>Extremes &amp; Extremists</h3>
<p>For years no one challenged the possible deception these might carry. That is not until David Kupelian wrote a commentary for WorldnetDaily entitled &ldquo;Innocent Blood; How Lying Marketeers Sold Roe vs. Wade to America &#8211; January 2005)</p>
<p><strong>Briefly his commentary stated:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A handful of activists launched a marketing campaign designed to: </li>
<li>Capture the news media and public opinions </li>
<li>Change the abortions prior to the 1960&#8217;s </li>
<li>Their success? &#8211; Rapid and complete. </li>
<li>Abortion became legalized in all fifty States for any reason and at any time during the pregnancy. </li>
<li>Since Roe vs. Wade forty million abortions have been performed by doctors. </li>
<li>Despite polls clearly indicating the majority of Americans disapproved of unfettered. </li>
<li>Abortion-on-demand the slogans worked their magic on Americans deeply inclined toward tolerance, privacy and individual rights. </li>
<li>The marketing plan deliberately diverted attention away from the basic issues of the harms abortion does to both the mother and the child. The morality of killing the unborn was pushed aside for the slogan, &ldquo;who decides?&rdquo; </li>
</ul>
<p>But what is even more shocking and sadder is that these slogans which have become virtual articles of faith and rallying cries in the pro-choice camp were made up as some kind of joke!</p>
<p>Bernard Nathanson, M.D., co-founder of the pro-abortion vanguard group NARAL, made this startling confession:</p>
<p>&ldquo;I remember laughing when we made those slogans up. We were looking for some sexy, catchy slogans to catch public opinion. They were very cynical slogans then, just as all these slogans today are very, very cynical&rdquo; (page 2 WorldNet Daily &#8211; 2008)</p>
<p>Dr. Nathanson tells a sickening story of how the pro-choice movement was founded on deception:</p>
<p>&ldquo;We persuaded the media that the cause of permissive abortion was a liberal, enlightened, sophisticated one&hellip;. Knowing that if a true poll were taken, we would be soundly defeated, so we simply announced to the media that we had taken polls and that 60 percent of Americans were in favor of permissive abortion. This is the tactic of the self-fulling lie. Few people care to be in the minority. We aroused enough sympathy to sell our program of permissive abortion by fabricating the number of illegal abortions done annually in the U.S. The actual figure was approaching 100,000, but the figure we gave to the media repeatedly was 1 million&hellip;.</p>
<p>Repeating the lie often enough convinces the public. The number of women dying from illegal abortions was around 200-250 annually. The figure we constantly fed to the media was 10,000. These fake figures took root in the consciousness of Americans, convincing many that we need to crack the abortion laws.&rdquo; (pg 3 WorldnetDaily &#8211; 2008)</p>
<p>Yet in 1973 Dr. Nathanson, now the chief of obstetrical services at St Lukes Hospital in New York City had a wake-up call. He recalls the dazzling array of cutting-edge technologies such as:</p>
<ul>
<li>Real-time ultrasound </li>
<li>Electronic fetal heart monitoring </li>
<li>Fetoscopy </li>
<li>Cordocentesis </li>
</ul>
<p>&ldquo;Anyway,&rdquo; Nathanson said, &ldquo;as a result of all this technology &#8211; looking at this baby, examining it, investigating it, watching it&#8217;s metabolic functions, watching it urinate, swallow, move, sleep, watching it dream, which you could see by it&#8217;s rapid eye movements via ultrasound, treating it; operating on it &#8211; I finally came to the conviction that this was my patient. This was a person! I was a physician pledged to save my patients&#8217; lives, not destroy them! So I changed my mind on the subject of abortion.&rdquo; (Page 4 WorldnetDaily &#8211; 2008)</p>
<p>Religion did not influence Dr. Nathanson&#8217;s change of belief about abortion. Modern technology proved to him what the ancient philosophies of Hippocrates and Pythagoras maintained and what has been known since Creation&hellip;an unborn fetus in its mother&#8217;s uterus is a living being.</p>
<h3>And The Lies Continue?</h3>
<p>Did you know Planned Parenthood as well as other abortion clinics make public statements that they offer all alternatives to the pregnant women who seek their counsel?</p>
<p>This is exactly the information I discovered from previewing their web site. But, this isn&#8217;t what I have heard from women, especially young women in the mid teen to mid twenty. Many have shared the same experience of there being no alternatives but abortion.</p>
<p>These testimonies are substantiated by the research done by David Kupelian, &ldquo;the women were never given any type of alternatives to abortion,&rdquo; says Debra Henry who worked as an assistant and counselor for six month at an OB/GYN office in Levonia, Michigan. &ldquo;They were never told about adoption agencies; that there were people out there willing to help them, to give them homes to live in, to provide them with care and even financial support.&rdquo;(Page 6 WorldNet Daily &#8211; 2008)</p>
<p>Further, many of the counselors are nothing more than very capable saleswomen at many of the abortion clinics. &ldquo;The salesmanship at her abortion clinic is so effective says Sparks (a worker in a Granite City, Illinois abortion clinic) that 99 out of every 100 women go ahead and have an abortion.&rdquo; (Page 6 WorldnetDaily &#8211; 2008)</p>
<p>Other ramifications of this lie, concerns why doctors who normally would flat out refuse to do an abortion for any reason other than to save the life of the mother, As one doctor explained: &ldquo;The media was very active early on, they were probably one of the major influences on us (doctors) telling us that abortion was not only legal, but that it was to serve women&hellip;.We also believed the lie that there were tens of thousands of women being maimed and killed from illegal abortions prior to legalization of abortion laws&gt;&ldquo; (Page 6 WorldNet Daily &#8211; 2008)</p>
<h3>The Harms of Abortion</h3>
<p>The media assures that abortion is safe. For some women it probably has been just that &#8211; safe and effective. But for others it has been their worse nightmare, often carrying them to the brink of death.</p>
<p>With every abortion there are risks. These risks can be categorized into distinct groups.</p>
<h3>Side Effects</h3>
<ul>
<li>Abdominal pain and cramping </li>
<li>Nauseated, vomiting, diarrhea </li>
<li>Significant Complications </li>
<li>Bleeding </li>
<li>Infection </li>
<li>Damage to other organs </li>
<li>Serious Complications </li>
<li>Heavy bleeding (hemorrhaging). Not the normal bleeding associated with an abortion that has gone well. Blood transfusions may be necessary and hospitalization. Risks for hemorrhaging are higher if the pill RU-486 has been used. </li>
<li>Infection can result causing extended hospitalization and scarring of the pelvic organs </li>
<li>Incomplete Abortions, (fetal parts that are left inside the uterus). Infection and bleeding may result. </li>
<li>Sepsis (Total body infection) many of the RU-486 users have died as a result of sepsis Anesthesia. Complications from general anesthesia during the abortion may result in convulsions, heart attack and in extreme cases, death. </li>
<li>Damage to the Cervix. The cervix can be torn, cut or damaged by abortion instruments. This can cause excessive bleeding which will require surgical repair. </li>
<li>Scarring of the Uterus Lining. Suction tubing, curettes and other abortion instruments may cause permanent scarring of the uterine lining. (This can result in a woman becoming sterile). </li>
<li>Perforation of the Uterus. Punctures or tearing by abortion instruments can cause serious problems. The risk of this happening tends to increase with the length of pregnancy. It requires major surgery in which the uterus is removed. </li>
<li>Damage to Internal Organs. If the uterus is punctured or torn there is also the risk that damage will occur to the nearby organs like the bowel and bladder. </li>
<li>Death often occurs in extreme cases, and while it is rare it is a very real risk. </li>
</ul>
<h3>Other Risks</h3>
<ul>
<li>Preterm Birth of future pregnancies are often the case for women who have had an abortion. </li>
<li>Breast Cancer? This is still being researched and debated. Regardless of the fact some </li>
<li>pro-abortion web sites maintain this is just a &ldquo;scare tactic&rdquo;, the fact remains it hasn&#8217;t been proven abortions do not predispose to breast cancer at some time in the future. </li>
</ul>
<h3>Consider these important facts:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Carrying your first pregnancy to full term gives protection against breast cancer. </li>
<li>Choosing an abortion will loose that protection. </li>
<li>There are a number of reliable studies which have concluded there is reason to believe there is a link between abortion and later development of breast cancer. </li>
</ul>
<h3>The Emotional and Psychological Risks</h3>
<ul>
<li>Abortion has been proven to cause a decrease in both emotional and physical heath </li>
<li>Abortion often causes a form of post-traumatic stress disorder. </li>
</ul>
<h3>These are the major symptoms:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Eating disorders </li>
<li>Relationship problems </li>
<li>Guilt </li>
<li>Depression </li>
<li>Flash backs of the abortion </li>
<li>Suicidal thoughts </li>
<li>Sexual dysfunction </li>
<li>Alcohol and drug use </li>
</ul>
<h3>The Risk of P.A.S.S.</h3>
<p>P.A.S.S. is the short form for Post Abortion Stress Syndrome. For most women having an abortion P.A.S.S will be experience in some degree. It may be from mild regrets to severe depression.</p>
<p>How might you know if you will experience Post Abortion Stress Syndrome? There are a collection of questions which has proven helpful in determining if you might be at risk:</p>
<ul>
<li>I am having difficulty making a decision to have an abortion </li>
<li>I believe abortion is morally wrong </li>
<li>I consider myself a religious person </li>
<li>I am a Christian </li>
<li>I always thought abortion was taking a human life </li>
<li>I have traditional or conservative values </li>
<li>I have had a negative attitude toward abortion in the past </li>
<li>I feel society looks on a woman who has had an abortion in a negative, shameful way </li>
<li>I am planning to abort this baby because it has abnormalities </li>
<li>I have very strong maternal instincts </li>
<li>I feel pressure to have an abortion </li>
<li>I have had prior psychiatric or emotional issues </li>
<li>I am single &#8211; I don&#8217;t have the finances or the means to raise a child </li>
</ul>
<p>If you answered &ldquo;yes&rdquo; to any one of these concerns you are at risk according to psychologists. The more &ldquo;yes&rdquo; answers you have the greater your risk for P.A.S.S.</p>
<p>For many women they experience extreme feelings of sadness and/or depression. What conditions or factors might predispose a woman to these feelings after having an abortion?</p>
<ul>
<li>Emotional conflicts a woman may experience about her decision to abort. </li>
<li>Social stigmas a woman associates with having an abortion. </li>
<li>Moral or religious beliefs a woman may have regarding abortion. </li>
</ul>
<p>Unfortunately it is not true if a woman prepares for the abortion by naming the child; enrolling in post abortion counseling before the abortion occurs that they can stop these feelings of sadness and/or depression before it starts. This tactic simply does not work.</p>
<h3>The Balancing Act</h3>
<p>For a woman who is at risk for P.A.S.S., sadness, and/or depression the decision she has to make becomes a balancing act. She has to decide which is worse:</p>
<ul>
<li>Facing possible sadness from an abortion, or </li>
<li>Having the baby and facing the difficulties that may come from parenting or adoption. </li>
</ul>
<p>&ldquo;For some women, the concrete issues like finances, housing and food are easier to find answers to than the abstract problems such as, &ldquo;why did I do it?&rdquo; Or, &ldquo;what do I do now?&rdquo; For others the opposite is true.&rdquo; (Page 1 &#8211; Your Concerns: Will I Feel Sadness or Depression After the Abortion?&rdquo; &#8211; 2004. Choice to Live With, Inc.</p>
<h3>Abortion and Suicide</h3>
<p>In a commentary written by Dr. David C. Reardon. Ph.D., &ldquo;The Abortion /Suicide Connection&rdquo;, it was stated that pregnancy generally reduces the impulses for suicide, but abortion escalates the risk of a woman committing suicide. This is based on many studies that have found a statistical significance between a history of abortion and suicide attempts among adults.</p>
<p>What seemed apparent is that this data suggests abortion is more likely to predispose an unstable woman to suicide than a pregnancy that is carried to full term with the birth of the child.</p>
<p>An alarming statistic is that out of 4000 women counseled for suicidal tendencies, 1800 had abortions. Out of this 1800, 1400 were between the ages of fifteen and twenty-four.</p>
<p>This is also the age group of the fastest growing suicidal rate in the United States.)</p>
<p>In a study conducted in 1987, regarding women who suffered from post abortion trauma, it was revealed that sixty percent had suicidal impulses, twenty-eight percent had attempted suicide and eighteen percent had attempted suicide more than once &#8211; often within the three to four years following the abortion.</p>
<p>What is the Connection Between Suicidal Women and Those Who Abort?</p>
<p>There is a definite connection between abortion and tendencies for suicide. One of the reason, psychologists suggest is the fact; abortion in many ways is like suicide, in a pathetic heart-renting way.</p>
<p>A person who threatens suicide is actually crying out for help. So are the women who contemplate abortion.</p>
<h3>Other similarities:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Both are in a state of despair </li>
<li>Both are extremely lonely </li>
<li>Both feel faced by insurmountable odds </li>
</ul>
<p>It&#8217;s been proposed by some &ldquo;right-to-die&rdquo; advocates that suicide should be legalized and suicide clinics should be created to help the suicidal individual with the decision. This is scary! Suicide rates would escalate dramatically just like abortion rates did in the 1970&#8217;s!</p>
<p>Certainly this would throw wide open the door for narcissistic individuals who would eagerly welcome the opportunity to get rich by exploiting other who are in one of the most desperate states of emotion a human being can experience.</p>
<p>Perhaps this is just a projection, but if the track record set by abortion clinics is any indication of exploitation running rampant, then the fact the same would occur with suicidal clinic is a frightening reality.</p>
<h3>What do abortion clinics offer that would be a mirror image for a suicidal clinic?</h3>
<ul>
<li>The promise to release clients from the darkness of despair </li>
<li>They would appeal to society&#8217;s demand for immediate and instant solutions to all one&#8217;s problems. </li>
<li>They masquerade as places of compassion while raking in huge profits by preying on lonely, frightened, and confused people who our narcissistic society has rejected and labeled as &ldquo;unwanted&rdquo; or &ldquo;loser&rdquo;. </li>
<li>In place of life they offer the &ldquo;compassion&rdquo; of death. </li>
</ul>
<p>It should not be difficult to realize granting the wish or desire for abortion or suicide isn&#8217;t the solution or the cure for desperate people. The only thing this &ldquo;remedy&rdquo; provides is abandonment and false compassion which protects the &ldquo;counselors&rdquo; of such clinics from getting involved in the personal problems of others.</p>
<p>Many of the &ldquo;counselors&rdquo; in abortion clinics fall into a description made by Thomas Gale, a writer from an Internet health site:</p>
<p>&ldquo;Narcissism is the excessive preoccupation with self and the lack of empathy for others.&rdquo;</p>
<p>When either the suicidal person tells someone they wish they were death, or the distraught pregnant woman tells someone she is considering an abortion, both are reaching out in a blind hope that someone will announce and show that they care and will sincerely help them.</p>
<p>For those of us who truly care, it will cost us much in the form of &ldquo;costly love&rdquo;. Costly love requires a real sacrifice of time, energy and resources. For the pregnant woman distraught over the idea of aborting her child, or a person considering suicide, if they receive anything less than this form of love, they will read it as &ldquo;you don&#8217;t really care. And if we give anything less &#8211; they would be exactly right.</p>
<p>Up to this point the harms disclosed have been from a medical abortion or surgical abortion. But the &ldquo;pill&rdquo; or chemical abortion carries some disturbing risks everyone should be aware of as possibly occurring.</p>
<p>The Abortion Pill or RU &#8211; 486</p>
<p>Planned Parenthood in an article on their website makes these brief statements about the abortion pill (RU 486):</p>
<h3>Take medicine to end an early pregnancy</h3>
<ul>
<li>Safe and effective </li>
<li>Available from many Planned Parenthood health centers </li>
<li>Costs about $350-$650 </li>
</ul>
<p>The abortion pill works ninety-seven out of one hundred times to end pregnancy if taken within the first sixty-three days after the first day of a woman&#8217;s last period.</p>
<p>There are two different pills to take. The abortion pill is taken at the clinic, given by a health care provider (note, not necessarily is this person a licensed nurse, medical technician or doctor). Antibiotics are also given, which are to be taken after the abortion pill. This completes step one of the process.</p>
<p>In step two a second medication is taken (misoprostol). This is taken within three days after taking the abortion pill. Misoprostol causes cramping and heavy bleeding, this condition will last for a few hours.</p>
<h3>Side Effects (which may or may not occur)</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bleeding or spotting up to four weeks after the abortion </li>
<li>Dizziness </li>
<li>Strong cramping </li>
<li>Nauseated, often with vomiting </li>
<li>Diarrhea </li>
<li>Temporary abdominal cramps </li>
<li>Temporary low fever and/or chills. </li>
</ul>
<p>Planned Parenthood&#8217;s website suggests using a product like Advil or Tylenol to handle most of these side effects.</p>
<p>Interestingly they also strongly advise not to use any product containing aspirin without any explanation as to the harms taking aspirin can cause. The reason any product containing aspirin should not be taken is as follows (information is from &ldquo;The Essential Guide to Prescription Drugs 2001&rdquo; Page 123)</p>
<p>Aspirin is a blood thinner; it can prevent blood from clotting. This could result in hemorrhaging. It can also complicate new illnesses, pregnancy and surgery.</p>
<p>Just How Safe Is the Abortion Pill?</p>
<p>Serious complications are possible. If any of these warning signs develop after a woman has taken the abortion pill she needs to contact her physician immediately:</p>
<ul>
<li>Heavy bleeding in which more than two maxi pads are soaked up in an hour. And lasting two or more hours. </li>
<li>Blood clots for two hours or more, that is larger than a lemon </li>
<li>Abdominal pain or discomfort that is not relieved or lessened by rest, hot water bottle or heating pad. </li>
<li>A fever over 100.4 degrees (Fahrenheit) or higher, lasting for more than four hours </li>
<li>Vomiting for more than four to six hours. And the inability to keep anything down </li>
<li>A foul odor to the discharge from the vagina </li>
<li>Any signs which indicate you are still pregnant </li>
</ul>
<p>Feeling sick for more than twenty-four hours after taking the second pill could indicate a serious infection. Contact your physician immediately. Symptoms associated with this kind of sickness include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Abdominal discomfort </li>
<li>Diarrhea </li>
<li>Nausea and vomiting </li>
</ul>
<p>From 2001 to 2005, there have been five deaths associated with RU-486, due to a serious bacterial infection occurring. The FDA is currently investigating these cases. At present the risk factor for a woman to die from using the abortion pill is 1 in 100,000.</p>
<p>A final word of caution about the use of RU-486; if a woman has any of these situations or conditions, there is a very high risk RU-486 would be deadly:</p>
<ul>
<li>If the woman smokes </li>
<li>Has asthma </li>
<li>Has high blood pressure </li>
<li>Is obese </li>
</ul>
<p>There are other conditions only mentioned in the resource article as &ldquo;etc.&rdquo; Very importantly if the abortion pill is being considered then a woman should have a complete physical by her physician. She should ask him/her about the safety for her to abort the pregnancy by this method.</p>
<p>There have been several serious well documented side effects associated with the abortion pill. It has been recorded that there have been cases of it taking up to forty-four days for the abortion process to be completed. And, severe bleeding is always a huge concern. In at least one case, a woman lost half her blood and had to have emergency surgery. Lastly there have been cases of the abortion pill causing life threatening heart attacks.</p>
<p>Long term health issues have not been sufficiently studied; these are still in the investigative process. But there appears to be reason to believe RU-486 could not only affect the present pregnancy but all future ones as well in the form of miscarriages and severely malformed children.</p>
<h3>Extremists Calling Themselves &ldquo;Christian&rdquo;!</h3>
<p>In the aftermath of Roe vs. Wade a huge tidal wave of violence erupted against abortion clinics, abortion clinic personnel working in these clinics, and even the pregnant women desiring an abortion at an abortion clinic.</p>
<p>Perhaps in principle, these vigilantes felt they were upholding what the Bible says about abortion. The Bible is very clear about abortion being wrong in God&#8217;s sight. But only God, the Creator is responsible for life and death. One of the Ten Commandments clearly states: &ldquo;You shall not murder (kill). ( Exodus , Chapter twenty verse thirteen)</p>
</p>
<p>And in Deuteronomy , Chapter thirty verse nineteen (KJV)</p>
</p>
<p>&ldquo;I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.&rdquo;</p>
</p>
<p>These extremist seem to forget the scriptures about violence and Christian conduct. It is sad, individuals taking the name of Christ, would stoop to acts of violence that totally grieve that Holy Name. No where in the Bible does it condone such hideous acts of brutality. What does God say in His Word about this kind of behavior?</p>
</p>
<h3>Psalm, Chapter fifty-five, verses nine through eleven (NIV):</h3>
</p>
<p>Confuse the wicked, O Lord, confound their speech, for I see violence and strife in the city. Day and night they prowl about on its walls; malice and abuse are within it. Destructive forces are at work in the city, threats and lies never leave its streets.</p>
</p>
<p>And, Psalm , Chapter seventy-three, verses seven through nine (NIV)</p>
</p>
<p>Therefore pride is their necklace; they cloth themselves with violence. From their callous hearts comes iniquity, the conceits of their minds know no limit. &hellip;Their mouths lay claim to heaven and their tongues take possession of the earth.&rdquo;</p>
</p>
<p>As a final scriptural thought, Romans, Chapter twelve, verses seventeen, eighteen and twenty-one (NIV)</p>

<p>Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible&hellip;live at peace with everyone. &hellip;.Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.</p>

<h3>Alternatives to Abortion</h3>
</p>
<p>There are alternatives to abortion. These include:</p>
</p>
<ul>
<li>Adoption </li>
<li></li>
<li>Single parenthood </li>
</ul>
</p>
<p>There is help available through a non-profit organization called Nurturing Network. And many local non-profit organizations like Women in Need (WIN) and Crisis Pregnancy center can assist with clothing, counseling, food, sometimes shelter and financial assistance).</p>
</p>
</p>
<p>Joint Parenthood. Two parents are better than one, any day of the week. Option Line is a computer based organization that can direct couples in need of assistance to a Pregnancy Support Service Center.</p>
</p>
<p>Foster Care. The baby can be placed in a foster care home until the mother (and father) decides if they want to raise their child.</p>
</p>
<h3>Difficult Pregnancy Situations</h3>
</p>
<p>What do you do? You have just learned from your doctor that your baby will be born not normal. This meaning, your child might be retarded, handicapped, or impaired in some way. Abortion sounds like a simple sure solution. BUT, there are serious consequences as mentioned in this article with having an abortion. If you are a Christian or someone concerned about God&#8217;s viewpoint considering such heart-renting situation, consider these Words of Wisdom:</p>

<p>So the LORD said to him, &ldquo;Who has made man&#8217;s mouth? OR who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing or the blind? Have not I, the LORD?&rdquo;</p>

<p>Then there is the unspeakable crime of rape. A woman is so traumatized from being raped; it is often hard for her to know what to do about a pregnancy which results from this most violent of all crimes. She has been violated, certainly may not think of any good reason for having the baby of a man she may or may not know, but certainly one that she undoubtedly hates. This is a difficult situation that has compromised her life, just why should she have this child and either try to raise it or give it up to adoption or a foster home? Only one very good reason: God&#8217;s Word.</p>

</p>
<p>Fathers shall not be put to death for their children nor shall children be put to death for their fathers&#8217;; a person shall be put to death for his own sins.</p>
</p>
<p>There are social implication, what about these? There are many hardships which may result from trying to raise a child alone. How can something as ugly as rape turn out remotely okay, let alone beautiful.</p>
</p>
<p>From a personal experience I know of a rape situation which has turned out beautiful.</p>
</p>
<p>My friend, who I will call Della, related this story to me about her daughter, Sharon and granddaughter, Jessica. I know the validity of the story as I also know Sharon and Jessica. Della related the fact her second husband, raped Sharon when she was a fourteen. Sharon became pregnant, her step-dad left never to be located or heard from again. Della strong in her Christian beliefs encouraged Sharon to carry the baby to term. Nine months later Sharon gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, she named Jessica.</p>
</p>
<p>As Jessica began to grow from infancy to toddler to early childhood, she developed medical problems &#8211; a whole series of them! First it was a hearing problem, then sinus complications, and then diabetes. These conditions all seemed to manifest themselves in Jessica just as she started school, making learning difficult. Soon Jessica was falling behind the rest of the children in her class.</p>
</p>
<p>Della, continued to work long hours at a local pizzeria and sandwich shop as a cook. Her health began to deteriorate with high blood pressure and diabetes. Sharon tried to balance studying to finish high school with raising Jessica. This pro-life choice to some seemed foolish. But to Della and Sharon they felt certain they had made the right choice. Jessica was loving and beautiful as any child could be.</p>
</p>
<p>I met Jessica when she was in the fourth grade, I had hired in as a Lunch Room supervisor at a private Christian school where Jessica was a student (her school expenses were being met by Della&#8217;s brother, Andy, who had a good steady job as a postal carrier).</p>
</p>
<p>With the many health problems Jessica seemed to develop Sharon found herself in an emotional battle of wanting the social life she felt the pregnancy robbed her of, and desperately wanting to care for Jessica. By the time Jessica reached her ninth birthday, Sharon eloped with a man who worked at the local park where Sharon took Jessica for swimming lessons, leaving Jessica in the care of her mom, Della and her Uncle Andy.</p>
</p>
<p>In fifth grade Jessica felt that life was stacked against her. She had health problems, which affected her learning ability, she was taller than anyone in her class and often the subject of rude remarks and jokes, and she worried about her grandma&#8217;s health, and could not understand why her mom didn&#8217;t want her.</p>
</p>
<p>Working the lunch room, I noted this struggle, and tried to correct the rudeness of the children in her class. Jessica began to confide in me. I learned her sweet side, her courageous side, and her broken heart. She often voiced the fact she didn&#8217;t know why she was even born. My response, &ldquo;because God has something special for you to do, and He made you just for this special job&#8217;.</p>
</p>
<p>By sixth grade I lost track of Della and Jessica as they moved and I had left the school for another job. Seven years later, we reconnected. I learned that Jessica was doing well from Della. She was in her first year of college. I had to see her to see how she had grown up and to see if she was okay with life.</p>
</p>
<p>A few weeks later, I had lunch with Della and Jessica. Jessica was a radiant young woman, possessing an inner joy, and confident in her goals of becoming an administrator of a pre-school. Jessica was taking classes at the local college and working part time as an assistant teacher for a pre-school. And she was in love with plans to be married within the following year.</p>
</p>
<p>This was a hard decision at the time for Sharon and Della. It was increasingly hard throughout Jessica&#8217;s school years. But it turned out so beautiful. God has promised in His Word that the good will always come to those who love Him and keep His commandments. (Romans 8:28)</p>
</p>
<p>God has a plan a purpose for every child conceived, this is another reason why abortion is a bad choice. However as has been disclosed in this article, the harms associated with any form of abortion should be sufficient information for a woman to make a choice for life. Abortion can only bring heart ache, regrets, depression, and the potential for future health problems. In addition there is a real risk of death as a result of the abortion.</p>

<h3>Feeling Guilty Over Having Had an Abortion?</h3>

<p>Where do you stand with God if you&#8217;ve had an abortion and are feeling consumed with guilt, depression, sadness and a desire to know how God feels about you?</p>

<p>There are many factors which have played into the issue to legalized abortion &#8211; greed arrogance, deception, self interest; these are all characteristics of narcissism. Like many of life&#8217;s huge decisions the abortion one will affect a woman for the rest of her life. Hopefully this article will have shed the light on this highly controversial issue.</p></p>
