Learning English and for them

First, we want to learn English , we must determine first of all for which we want to learn. You must choose the field that interests us: English for students ( school ), English for Immigration ( conversation ), English for work abroad in a specific area (specialized technical language), English tests internationally accredited: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESL / EFL etc.

Once we established what we interested in the English language, must decide on how much timeis needed to reach the desired result. Also, we must evaluate the level at which we know English (beginner, intermediate or advanced) and decide how we want to progress. There are several ways to learn English, but the beginning is always the hardest. So, we detail below the steps to follow depending on each situation.

Stages of learning English and they

English school

In general, when we learn English for school, we need to cover some gaps (gaps). If the information does not have continuity, we can understand and learn English. Thus, we must know what information we do not master very well and insist on them. We need:

A Dictionary of English – Romanian and Romanian – English, and more useful is an English dictionary – English

You really have to know how to translate words from English into Romanian and from Romanian into English. A dictionary is absolutely necessary. Given that English has many words with multiple meanings, an English dictionary – English would be more appropriate. This is a glossary with definitions in English. In addition, it also offers the family of words derived from the word, so we can learn much more vocabulary and definitions at the same time. In the link below you can find such a dictionary.

Worksheets, exercises, grammar and vocabulary tests

Only the theory does not help in trying to learn English. We need more exercises, tests and evaluations that always tell us how we have progressed and where we need to insist. Tests can be combined (grammar and vocabulary) or directed Only a specific issue. The trick is to decide what you need and to work seriously. Also in the link below you will find these key tests, exercises and worksheets.

English tests and exams: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESL / EFL

In general, when we decide to give such a test, we need to know what level, where we go where we want to go and how long. Need:

A Dictionary of English – Romanian and Romanian – English and an English dictionary – English

Like the above, we need a dictionary to that otherwise can not learn a foreign language. Given that we intend to learn English on Long-Term, most helpful would be an online dictionary.

Intestinal English Course

If the type tests and exams: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESL / EFL most want to learn exactly what the exam is given and a short time. You must decide what level of difficulty according to the exam and prepare strictly for this purpose.

Test structure – type tests, rubrics, assessments (preferably online)

To type an exam TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESL / EFL, we must know which is the structure of the test and what is required at the level of difficulty of our choice. Such models you can find in the link below for each type of exam or test.

English for immigration and work abroad .

In this case, we need to focus specifically on situations that we need in everyday life and job you will be abroad. The approach is different depending on the level of English that you have initially.

Vocabulary

For a beginner level , we must begin to learn English name of the objects that you already know in Romanian. For example, presentation and personal data would be a good start, then the objects that surround us, the family and its members, etc.. It’s also nice to imagine some situations that occur in real life everyday: prezetare and politeness formulas, an information request from the airport, shopping, hotel, restaurants, etc..

Do not despair! In more than 2-3 months after installation in a foreign country you learn English at a satisfactory level, if not better. In other words, you learn that you will be.

If an advanced level , we can focus on specific vocabulary that we will use it at work. It’s also good to know how to write a letter to both formal and informal English. Some rules of writing are, again, welcome.

Grammar

In English, the verb is the biggest problem for many times do not have a correspondent in Romanian. Also, many verbs are irregular in their forms and we must learn by heart. This is much easier through more exercise.

However, it need only insist on the Present Simple, Present Continuous, Past Simple Tens, Tens Continuous Past and Future. On this we will use most often.

Need Dictionary English – Romanian and Romanian – English or an English dictionary – English

Whatever the purpose of learning a foreign language, we can not do without a dictionary. The reasons are listed above. A dictionary is perhaps the best investment. And do not forget to take it with you when you leave the country! If we opt for a dictionary Olin, we must ensure that we have access to it at any time.

Conversation practice guide

A guide to practice English conversation – Romanians can be very helpful. The only condition is to be divided into situations that can occur in real life and in certain contexts (shopping, doctor, office, etc.).

Tests, worksheets and intensive English course

All help to know English increasingly better. You might want to work these tests, worksheets and online exercises, so that we can check immediately when we can practice and satisfaction is immediate. In addition, we have access to them anywhere an internet connection! All these exercises in English worksheets, online courses and English tests, including an English dictionary online are very well structured and are available here ! Absolutely free!

These websites are for anyone who is teaching or reviewing academics with children. These are websites I turn to when I am looking to reinforce content in the classroom. They are easy to use.

Math Fact Cafe

I use this website to drill students on their math facts. You can create your own worksheet in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, time, and money. You can also set the font size of the problems; larger for younger students; smaller to get more problems on a page. With a click of the “Re-Shuffle” button on the build-it site, a new workshett with different problems is created. (Great use to give students who sit next to one another and have shifty eyes). One thing to remember is to do a print preview before you print to make sure all the problems will fit on one page.

ABC Teach

This website has many topics to look under for worksheets. Topics from Arbhor Day to Writing worksheets. You can also create your own, colorful, math worksheets here too.

TLSBooks.com

This website has worksheets through the fifth grade. When you click on one of the grade levels from the left hand side, ou have to scroll down to find the free worksheets. This site also has lnks for teachers who would like to explore more resources.

Kidzone Math

This website has math worksheets through fifth grade. You can also pick a theme or seasonal pages. I use this website to create worksheets to drill students on their math facts.

How parents and teachers can effectively use printable math worksheets at home and in the classroom to ensure student success.

Both parents and teachers can use printable math worksheets to help their children overcome a lot of problems they have with math.

I’’ve been a professional educator for almost a decade, and even in that time, I’’ve seen a lot of fads come and go. Nothing, however, has been able to substitute for good old fashion practice and drill. Unfortunately, a lot of the children I teach missed out in lower grades. I would guess over 70% come to me completely unprepared.

When I diagnose what their problem is, it’s virtually always the same—they don’t know their multiplication tables, and/or they can’t do arithmetic with fractions.

Most of the kids I teach, even in the upper classes, have a very poor understanding of even basic algebra.

As a parent, I’m sensitive to what my own children are learning in school. Our school systems are opting for a more conceptual, child-centered learning style. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s just that sometimes the basics tend to get lost.

You see, math is more like a sport than history, for instance. So much of elementary math is skill based, instead of knowledge based.

There really are a very few things kids have to master in school in elementary math. I could write a list for you, and I suspect it would only be about twenty items long.

The problem is children are not made to master those skills. So, they progress from grade to grade with an ever growing deficit in their math skills. Unfortunately, I suspect that this “concepts” based education is only going to make this situation worse.

The Effect

Most of beginning algebra depends on being able to multiply in your head and also on doing arithmetic with fractions.

As an example, you might remember a concept called factoring. Factoring means breaking up into parts that are multiplied together to give you the whole. You can factor numbers, for instance. 6 factors into 2 and 3, because 2×3=6. You can also factor algebraic expressions. It is here that a lot of kids get lost because they can’t multiply in their heads. It’s almost impossible to factor if you have to reach for a calculator to find out what 7×8 is.

The same thing is true for being able to do arithmetic with fractions.

It gets worse.

It’s been proven that success in science depends to a great extent on being able to do math well. So, usually a child who doesn’’t do well in math also doesn’’t do well in science.

What this does is insure that this child will grow up locked out of 80% of the jobs that are going to be created in the United States over the next two decades. According to the federal government, 80% of future jobs are going to be technical in nature, and computer based. If your child is not good at math, she’s not going to be a candidate for this explosive job market.

Your child has to master math. It’s that simple.

The Solution

Teachers are doing the best they can. The problem with education is really more at the institutional level. Remember when there were only three automobile makers? You were lucky if your car ran 80,000 miles. Nowadays that’s nothing. This all happened because of competition. The same thing needs to happen to education.

Until it does, here’s what you can do both inside the classroom, if you’re a teacher or at home, if you’re a parent.

One of the most effective ways to supplement a school’s curriculum is through printable math worksheets. Printable math worksheets naturally address the problem with practice that I mentioned earlier.

Parents can use them to great effect at home. They’re flexible and focused. Same for teachers in school.

In my classes, I use printable math worksheets to help remediate students. I can tell if they’re getting the concept down, and also I can monitor their progress.

You can find resources all over the web for free worksheets. Finding answers and teaching tips is another thing. For this you usually need subscription sites.
