In it, I also predicted that 2008 will mark the beginning of the countdown with a series of political, economic, as well as natural disaster events that will intensify with each year as we approach 2018. I wrote about coming global economic depression, which actually began with what the media dubbed “The Great Recession” later that same year. It never really ended. The so-called “recovery” was nothing more than just a short-term bubble created by stimulus money that most governments have thrown at it and we can clearly see now that it did not really change anything for the better.

United States is getting deeper in debt, their dollar is still losing value, and unemployment is still a growing problem, not to mention the political struggle over the direction the country should take as its next presidential election approaches. The European Union is in the middle of a very serious economical crisis as well as its major economies such as Italy and France face deep austerity measures to avoid near-default situations that Greece is facing.

The global economy also still feels the pain of devastation caused by the mega-earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear crisis that devastated Japan in 2011. There is anxiety and uncertainty related to massive political upheavals taking place in the Middle East as well as a nuclear threat coming from Iran, which is closer than ever from becoming a nuclear power. And the fact that openly authoritarian China and Russia are backing Iran up does not help either. It seems that the world is more politically divided than ever, even within individual countries on the lines of left versus right, more spending versus austerity, and in the case of United States even along racial lines.

Even the sun is becoming more violent as it gets deeper into its solar maximum faze with more sunspots, solar flares, storms, and even solar tornadoes raging on its surface, which in turn affects the weather patterns and seismic activity on earth. We can only expect more mega earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, draughts, floods, crops failures, and deepening food crises to follow.

These are very difficult times for many, but not a reason to despair. Knowing what is to come can help us to prepare both physically and spiritually. We all must be alert against the deception as some will try to use crisis in order to bring the people who are still free into bondage. Do not believe everything that you see in the mainstream media. More than ever before pray and think for yourself. Do not follow blindly your religious leaders and politicians, but judge whether their words match their actions. There is no doubt that we are living in times predicted by Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 24 and He specifically warned us not to be deceived.

Major religious and political leaders will begin to work together to convince all people that they must give up all their differences, and most of their freedoms in order to achieve world peace and save mankind form self destruction. It will sound very good to our human intellect and many will fall for it with disastrous consequences, but to quote the Scriptures, “Those who know their God will be strong and will carry out great exploits.”

I am scared and the only way I know how to get rid of my fears is to talk openly about them with my familiy and friends, essentially my inner most intimate community. This fear I have is so large though that I need to extend my request for help globally. 

The world is in shambles ( I don’t think there is anyone who would refute my claim). Are we not ready as a poeple to step up and correct ourselves and our actions? We all align ourselves with the group known as HUMANITY; but do we really deserve the priveledge anymore? Considering the defintion of  HUMANITY [the quality or state of being human or humane]. 

I am requesting of you my sisters and brothers to take a few moments out of your hurried lives and ask yourself this one question: “Do I have a secure connection with my provider, my Source?” While I am requesting your help I am also praying that you will be able to answer ‘yes’ to my question, if not today, then maybe today will be the day you take a conscious step closer to a ‘yes’. 

Being alive is not a right, it’s a privedge. At any given time on any given day the life you live and the world upon which you live it could all be taken away. POOF! Gone. No more. I ask you from my heart as a Global Community could we take the step where we begin to live our lives in a way as to be respetful and thankful for this priveledge we call life? 

There is a timer ticking away and the time to heed is now, right this very minute, before the timer stops! There are millions of people pushing and guiding us, and may gold bless them, but they are steering us in the wrong direction. I am urging my fellow brothers and sisters of our Global Community to STOP, and listen very carefully. Now is the time to go towards your Source, your Creator. Find that sweet spot within (you know the one) that just makes everything make sense to you. 

I’m not “pro-religion” nor am I suggesting everyone rush to a church or place of formal worship. I am however, urging us all to rush to a place of prayer. That place is easy to find, there are no prerequisites, special garments or parking meters. That place is within. If we want to survive and want to see world peace, we first must understand and exhibit internal peace. An internal peace that simpy can’t be pushed or eroded. 

We can’t possibly think that a few selected individuals, who pass laws and come up with expediaent, and unjust war plans to attack and ‘take out’ other nations’ leaders and people, hold the key to world peace. It is very unsettling that our security is in the hands of Warlords. I do not want to paint every individuals’ soul with the same tainted brush, there are those who are simply part of an agenda waged against them that they are unfortunately unaware of.

For too long we’ve been thinking that “what the eyes never seen, the heart would never ever feel” * We are a Global Community, there is no longer time to deny what and who we are. The facade we hold to be true is wrong. Of course, we hear about our Global Community but not enough. We have to remember that what we do in our own smaller communities will end up affecting the Global Community. It would be silly to think that the negativity shown to our brothers and sisters here locally isn’t going to affect the world at large. The huge injustices of the world carry over, they carry over because we are all connected. 

Out of the billions of ’self-help’ and ‘personal growth’ books we as a Global Community have purchased, gifted or borrowed we are in a sad state. The vast majority of those genres of books have the same root theme, “Get to know your Source/God/Creator”. There is a reason for this. Our very survival depends on it. We’ve strayed too far from ourselves, we don’t even recognize each other anymore. The books aren’t lying, re-connection to our Source is the oly way to world peace. The solution to all of our woes is within, if we can’t find and hold onto peace within we will never be able to find and sustain peace with our Global Community. 

In closing, it is my prayer that all of this or some part of this has reached or touched you at a soulstirring level. The highest in me respects the highest in you. Namaste. Peace, and God’s blessings to you all.

One of the main things that i am all about as a person, is world peace! If i could have anything in the world it deffintly would be world peace, a lot of people say that world peace is impossible to accomplish, and i completly agree with that statment because as long as we have people that are thinking like that, then yes their wont ever be “peace on earth”. But if everyone in the world truly believed that we could accomplish world peace then we could deffintly achieve it. Most people look at it as a big picture and say oh thats gonna be a lot of work to make everyone be peaceful; it doesnt have to be like that. If you want to make a change in the world look at yourself and change who you are in yourself before you even attempt at changing something else in this world.

Another thing that i see as a big problem in todays society is that people are not grateful for what they have; they always look at it as if they always need something else, and its part of human nature to feel that way but if you make yourself stop and think for a moment, and say to yourself hey their are people out their that dont even have enough money to feed their familys or even themselves. Just saying that to myself makes me be thankful for all the things that i have in my life, including my family, my house, my friends, my teachers…, etc. A lot of people in under privledged countries or even people here in the United states don’t have the privledge to have some of these things, so all that i am saying is please be grateful for the things you have.

I am gonna some it up and leave it at this. “If you want to make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make a change” (Man In The Mirror, Michael Jackson) That is the truest statment i have ever heard in my entire life. If you guys are with me on changing the world, first change yourself and make the best person that you can be!

I was watching Access Hollywood because i was bored and i had nothing else to do but watch TV. I started watching it and all of a sudden they interepted the normal story and said “we have breaking news from UCLA medical center, singer Michael Jackson has died” My heart sank i couldnt breath the world around me started collapsing. Mid panic i ran down the stairs and screamed at my brother and sister to come up stairs. They ran up the stairs looked at the TV and said “so?” Thoughs words killed me i couldn’t believe they said that and i just couldn’t believe that he was acctually gone. I cried for hours i couldn’t handle it. All i could keep thinking was that he was such a good person and why would god take such an amazing person from this earth. Then it hit me i will make Michael proud and live the way he wanted to live.

  From that day i foward i started living the way Michael wanted the world to live, and the way i wanted to live from the beginning. I started smiling at people opening the door making sure i addressed older people as sir or mam. I also made sure if i sow any trash that i picked it up because Michael always talked about saving the earth. I became a humanitarin just like Michael and i am also a pasafist because i don’t support violence at all! I will never forget that day. June 25, 2009 it was not only the worst day of my life but the day that flipped my world upside down.

Michael may be gone but his spirit and his music are always here in all of us. His music will live on, he gave us such an amazing gift and we will never forget that.

Being a young kid i was not sure how to approach life, i was tought mostly by my older brother that the coolest thing ever is to be hard core or “gangster”. Mostly through out middle school i acted as if i was hard core or “gangster”. I heart people around me i was dumb and got into fights, disrespected people not only teachers but my fellow pears as well. I felt very alone and scared to show who i acctually was. So i pretended for the longest time that i was someone different someone mean, and sure people gave me respect only because they were afraid of me. My 7th grade year in middle school i started dating this one girl the relationship didn’t last to long but when we were dating she would always tell me about these stories that would happen about a guy hitting on her, because she was very attractive and she would hesitate to tell me these things, and i would finally get something out of her and she would tell me the story but then right after that she would keep repeating: “please dont beat them up!” And all that i could think to myself is that “does she really think that im going to go beat them up?” She said that a lot and i didnt like this because i know that, that person that i was wasnt the person i wanted to be. Me and this girl broke up over the summer going into 8th grade i was pretty broken about it but understood. And it was this summer that changed my whole life!! ……..

Raging fires set by those making room in the name of progress. Trees are being recklessly ripped from their roots for new buildings because the population is now a burden on society. Protests are daily, random, and routine, just because it is allowed. Murder is tolerated because it will thin out the herd. The smoke filled air replaces the clear blue skies, and we all knew it was coming, but were never allowed to speak against the machine.

The machine is the last word, the all knowing, the judge and jury. Long gone are those times when we added the human touch, aiming to a clear triumph in matters of civility and significance. The machine knows what is best for all humanity for now we are Utopian which was the goal of so many who had our best interests at heart. The machine is self sufficient, and is run by half of the world population. They are our thought process, our idea creator, and our provider. They know what is best for the people of these times. They have decided so long ago, that they know what is best for us, and how to please all of us, all of the time.

The world as we once knew, was filled with hatred, violence through war, and pain. The machine guided us showing us the errors of our ways. The walked us through a very slow process of awareness, so slow, we never noticed the changed were taking place. Long gone are the days of separations of the classes for we are now one class. Our homes are all the same without the fear of one having more than another. We no longer need to be creative; the machine creates to sooth our artistic needs. We have no use for competitions, for that was unfair to those who could not compete. We have no need for monetary goals, for the Machine provides for us all.

Small pockets of rebellion only act as a reminder to all that the Machine will prevail. They fight but for what reason? They live like savages, hiding in the shadows of contempt.

The oceans are depleted of life t insure our security. The vegetation is all gone; to make room for new ideals the Machine has to offer. We have world peace, because we all exist as one now. The Machine guides us all and we understand that troubles times are behind us all. The resistance will try and tell us that we can think for ourselves, but for what purpose? If one thinks, creates, or rises above another, we will set back this Utopia to the days, when free thinkers were allowed to destroy us all, when one could rise above another. We only exist because of the Machine.Yes, we all eat the same things only because the Machine wants us to be a healthier society.  Yes, we all bed down when the whistles blow for there is no way of telling time any longer.  Time was interrupting the flow of a better system set in place by the MACHINE therefore all calenders and time pieces were banned.

When everything is in the cards laid out in front of mankind for all who needs to understand what is to come, some interpret it in many different ways. Depending on who is telling the facts, we believe what we are allowed, which is illusion driven. Utopia sounds wonderful, but at what costs to mankind? To all live as one, being cared for by those who tell us they now what out better interests are, we all fail. To take away what the world has to offer, the sky, the trees, and all its beauty, to take away our freedom of free thought, our goals, and our ability to strive when others fail would be shameless just to live a bland life in the name of a better society. If mankind is to prosper, we must be able to think, free, and compete. Oh sure Utopia is the future goals of some, but at what costs?  Look around, breath the freshness of the air, be creative, for the future, is only a day away if we are not careful.

Around the world people love and want a lasting peace on this earth they live. However, this goal will not be fully achieved, as long as there are parties and arrogant that they are of all things on earth. They are willing to do anything to demonstrate the power, including launch attacks against others even without a valid reason. No less a conflict for various reasons such as independence, grab the natural resources and the racism that eventually led to war.

What is obvious, no one will profit from war. As the saying goes’ less so ashes, dust to be won. The impact destroyed the country, economic paralysis, delayed development and more people suffer the worst, killed and wounded. History has proven adverse effect of the war. The war continues today, although its effects have been seen and felt, never convince those involved.

In this case, the world community to unite against the tendency to initiate or wage a war if you wish for peace. In other words we must have ‘hate war, love peace. “This too, has become an important essence of the World Peace Forum in Kuala Lumpur, which ended yesterday.

Through the forum – Malaysia’s efforts to make war a crime ‘- will be the guide and direction of the peace movement all over the world to create a world without war. Forum to be able to achieve the goal of creating a new wave of hope towards realizing the international community’s efforts to create a peaceful world free from war.

No doubt the path to success is still far in that direction. However, the 14 actions contained in the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the forum was a good start, at least to open the way to the people of the broader fight for peace walks. Forum could be a platform for anyone, especially non-governmental organizations who are interested in championing peace.

Another point is contained in the declaration to ban any use of force unless the consent of two thirds of the General Assembly of member states of the United Nations (UNGA, UN). Compliance with the UN Charter should be the responsibility of good faith, is not an option. For Malaysia, the UN was the mainstay of our existence as a guarantor purity as a sovereign nation to protect and safeguard the provisions of international law. Small country such as Malaysia does not have military or other capabilities to seek refuge from invasion or occupation of the major powers, but no sovereign nation should be exposed to the threat of military actions of other countries.

Various efforts have been made by many parties to achieve peace. Parana Global Peace Forum in Kuala Lumpur became the permanent secretariat is another place in that direction. We hope this forum will be the field most vocal in voicing objections and concerns of the world to battle for a lasting world peace.

Peace is so hard to find. Can you imagine what our world would be like without war, hatred, discrimination and injustice? We always want a world that is full of love, hope, peace and kindness. Go ahead and take a glimpse of a peaceful world.  Watch the video and see for yourself.  I hope we could turned it into reality not just a fantasy. If we could only act like this everyday, then things will be good and smooth. It isn’t that difficult to do if we are willing to change and be open minded. If we will just open our hearts and lend our hands to others then things will get better and easier. If we will just open our eyes and ears then we will find out what others need and what kindness mean. If we are just willing to spread love and kindness to everyone then this world will become a better place. We all hope that someday we will finally going to live in a world that is filled with peace.

I walk inside the Donald Bren Hall, just before three o’clock in the afternoon, for a seminar on Collective Intelligence. Thomas Malone, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is the guest speaker for this seminar.

He starts out by defining the word, “collective intelligence” as a group of people working together in an intelligent manner. Then, he discusses ways in which people can connect computers together in order to be able to act more intelligent than any person or group can. People need to be able to first measure, combine, map and harness collective intelligence.

Measuring collective intelligence requires using psychometrics in order to measure cognitive abilities. An example of such tests is Spearman’s tests of abilities, which tests academic and practical abilities. In such tests, people are grouped, and then they are given sample tasks, or group tasks to work on together, which include generating, choosing, executing and negotiating duties, in order to determine group intelligence. But they noticed that the individual intelligence was not significantly predicted on such tests as well as group intelligence was uncorrelated with individual intelligence. Moreover, there was a strong correlation in the group’s collective intelligence. Results concluded that the group did well at social perceptiveness, equality of distribution of taking turns and equal participation in the group, and a positive result with the proportion of more females in the group. The more female in a group, the more intelligent the group performed.

When choosing cognitive abilities, it is therefore better to have similar people in a group, but these people must have some variation in order to represent society in general. It can help predict real world performance better. Some ways to get such variation include changing group size, norms of interaction, computer support, to name a few, in order to improve and affect predictions as well as improve collective intelligence.

(There is also EQ, or emotional intelligence tests, which measures the emotional aspects).

Combining human and computer intelligence can produce better results than using one or the other. Prediction Markets is used, enabling people to buy and sell predictions about future events. It tends to be more accurate than other forecasting methods, although it involves similar statistics analysis that is used for testing the average probability of future outcomes. Gambling and experimental design of a situation to predict outcomes are some examples. Moreover, Risk-To-Reward Trade-off, or the Sharpe Ratio, measures the risk to reward trade-off of a situation. There is cost of errors and ROC in such analysis that need to be noted.

Mapping genomes requires asking detailed questions about what, who, why and how in order to get more accurate results. Before deciding on what necessary actions to be taken in order to successfully reach your desired goal, ask yourself the following questions and try to answer each with explicit answers. What is it that I want to do? Who will perform that function properly and successfully? Why am I interested in doing this? This answer has to do with monetary reasons, a love for that particular area or field, the glory of doing it, or all of the above. How will I actually perform such actions? The answer is either hierarchy or collaboration. Then, consider the types of organizational genes. The group first discusses whether there is a need for creating or deciding, before deciding whether to use crowd or hierarchy method to perform actions. Then, decisions are made whether to use independent or dependent methods in order to perform actions.

Harnessing collective intelligence enables solving global problems through world collaboration. Sites, such as Linux, Google and Wikipedia, have had people worldwide working on global climate change issues together as well as exposing political issues, in order to educate and improve situations for everyone as they save the planet from further destruction. This method of people worldwide coming together and working together to solve problems tends to attract and motivate participation among people of similar interests wanting to make a difference. Therefore, the Internet is therefore used for global collective intelligence, which enables people to make wise decision-making in order to improve current conditions or situations.
