To live in peace and harmony, without being thrown out of balance by the ups and downs of life is really not so hard and yet not so easy though it is the aim of every living being. From a Yogic perspective this means to live life fully, to flow with life and to accept whatever life brings, rather than fighting against life and the circumstances that we live in.

Christmas is synonymous for happiness, joy, love, goodness, giving, and humanity. These are the good elements we search in our lives every day. It’s one of the things that sometimes destroys relationships. A fear of not being able to communicate, a fear of loss. An expectation that you have. The assumptions that you assume. The society is based on this assumption of fear. A fear of war, a fear of dread. If we look around us we really don’t get much support in the way of neutralizing fear. If anything, we are encouraged to become more fearful. A way to overcome fear, is to go through the fear, in order to become fear-less.

Year End Meditation or in short “YE” Meditation or just “YEM”, is a special occasion meditation. As the name suggests it is done at the tail end of the year. It is different than the New Year Meditation, where we only focus on the new, the next, being totally oblivious to the past. And that is one of the main reasons many of the New Year resolutions wear off in just few days, because we fail to see the overall big picture and the connections, in which past does play a role.

TWO Simple Yogic Relaxation Techniques

To teach the individual how to relax and achieve tranquility is the primary purpose of Yoga. Many times you feel exhausted at the end of a busy day, and when you want to play with your children or talk with your wife or husband, you just can’t. This makes you feel frustrated and irritated, causing even more physical and emotional tension. In order to avoid this, you can practice simple breathing awareness before coming home from work, or before the family comes home for dinner. This breathing practice will minimize your physical fatigue and maximize your emotional stability.
