Fantasy and Sci-Fi Rocks My World.

In the Fantasy and Sci-Fi Rocks My World Page, we asked:Which do you like the best? Werewolves, Vampires, or Zombies? Why?

And here are some of their answers:

“I enjoy all stuff vampire the most. there is something sexual and romantic about them that compels me to be drawn in to their culture. I mostly like reading vampire stuff but there has been a few good movies. werewolves are ok. I see the draw to the wild abandon that can be tempting for some. zombies do absolutly nothing for me.” – Jessica W.

“Vampires have beauty and mystery and the allure of darkness while maintaining a mostly humanlike appearance. They relate to humans but will always be on the outside and that makes their existence both sad and interesting.” – Lemon L.

“None I’m sick of the over-exposure of all of them, when I go to a book store and all I see is books about them and hard to find a real sci fi book.” – Jim R.

“That’s a pretty big question. Cause you could easily just pick one of the three and leave it at that. But, To really answer it. I would have to have a type. I mean, Are we talking Twilight Vampires, Drackula vampires, Ann Rice vampires. Jim Butcher Vampires. You, Also have to break this down for WereWolves. And, For zombies. Well that’s’ easy you ether have mindless slow ones. Or Mindless Fast ones. A intelligent Zombie is not a zombie it would be a greater undead. But honestly I have no clear answer.” – Tony K.

“Werewolves. I’ve always like the concept of just losing control like that. Weird I know but it has always appealed to me” – Ben F.

“Zombies. Because they (until recently) were not a central portion of a story line quite the way the others (vamps/wolves) are. In “The Walking Dead” while they still do not get the portrayal that I would like (uh smart Zombies anyone?), they at least still help move the story along. Yes, it isn’t a central element in that they don’t feature into every single episode or in every scene but the background part that they encompass, the danger they represent, and the way they are affecting the centeral characters is different from what I’ve seen elsewhere.

In most Zombie flicks it’s MDK (Mass Death Kill/Murder Death Kill) on a large scale with non-stop action. Always about killing and surviving the night, not really about surviving and killing only when you have to. No real story with the ‘human’ characters either. I just feel I would connect better with a movie that had a smarter Zombie. “Zone One” by Colson Whitehead is a book I’ve read last year before Halloween. Good read for Zombie lovers.” – Sorta Creative

“If I had to become one of them, I’d prefer vampire. It would allow me to retain the greatest amount of control over myself. For most terrifying to have to face: zombies. By the time they get to me, and/or I’m made aware that they actually exist, I imagine there would be a nearly unstoppable number of them. Can’t remember which show it was, but they computer modeled vamps vs zombies. The vamp punched through the head of a z and one of the experts commented, “Oh good, you killed one.” there are just sooooooo many zombies… How long could you keep up the fight?” – Bill W.

“Werewolves. Zombies are gross. And vampires have been used so much. Werewolves are usually portrayed as powerful, earthy, and group oriented. They blend in better so stories about them have more room. Vampires are restricted to night (or to sparkles which is just wrong, very wrong). Werewolves have all that energy and power. I think the cold, lonely, and self-loathing vampire image had just been beaten to death. And, again, zombies? Gross. You can use them for supporting minions but that’s about it.” – Rhonda B.

“The vampire and zombie are very overplayed, especially lately. The werewolf is probably the most versatile out of all of them. They can blend into society, have a pretty amazingly difficult way to kill them, and can be either your best ally or worst enemy. Vamps and Zombies are mostly selfish creatures, which is terrible in any situation you can imagine.” – Cr G.

“Always been a fan of werewolves. They are very loyal to their pack/ family, are living breathing creatures, though long lived not immortal and there is just something so primal and terrestial about them that strike a cord deep within human kinds psyche (Well at least with me)” – Mike V.

A review of a zombie horror movie that I didn't even know about.

When the flight takes off, the crew doesn’t think much of it, just another routine flight with new passengers. They all have their reasons for being there, some are going to see family, some have a job there and others are going to new places for medical reasons. But then, things go horribly wrong while they’re in mid-air. The largest man on the plane starts to get sick, and he goes insane enough that all the men on the plane have to lock him in the bathroom. The captain of the flight gets worried and calls air control and they are told to land in a terminal. Little do they know that this isn’t just a minor case of someone going crazy. The terminal is locked down and all types of rescue vehicles surround the building and reveal that they are under quarantine.

I’m not going to lie, I loved the first Quarantine. It was creepy, it was eerie and I think it’s one of the only non-paranormal movies that have been shot like that. I really wish that this one kept the same filming technique at least; it didn’t seem like a sequel until a little bit later into the movie. There was a man that was filming throughout the entire movie; I don’t understand why they didn’t just have him videotaping it.

Ultimately, it was ‘Snakes on a Plane’ but with rats. Thankfully, they didn’t stay on the plane for the entire movie, which was something I was instantly worried about. It wasn’t a plane the size that ‘Snakes on a Plane’ was, it was a tiny little thing that had one or two seats on the side and I knew it was going to be awful if it stayed there. Thankfully, they went to the terminal before things got too messy and boring in the plane.

A quick mention, this movie is supposed to be roughly in the same time frame as the first one. On the plane, one of the passengers is watching the news cast of what happened in the first one.

I have to say that while the movie was alright, the two easiest to mess up parts of the movie. For one thing, they tried to make a reason behind both of the movies and why the zombies exist in the first place. The reason they made was absolutely terrible and made no honest sense, it was incredibly lame and I kind of wanted to strangle the writers of this one. The villain didn’t seem like the type of person that would do that at all.

Overall, three out of five stars.

How to do well in solo zombies on the theater-based map, and a few easter eggs and tricks.

Solo Strategy

This strategy will get you to at least round 20.

When playing solo on Ki-no all you have to do to get to the higher rounds is either run a zombie hoard around the main room in a circle, or circle the map. If a zombie runs in front of you simply shoot him or try to run around him. Make sure you buy jug as soon as possible, and try to get a decent gun. I have found that running with the thunder-gun is easiest. When the zombies stop spawning you can turn around and shoot with your secondary weapon (continue circling in the same direction just turn your character). Don’t be afraid to waste thunder-gun ammo if you need to. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the teleport is ready to use at the end of each round. If you are in trouble it is there for a quick escape. When you get to the pack-a-punch room utilize your frag grenades. Unless you are upgrading a gun do not shoot the zombies from the pack-a-punch room, because ammo is precious. When you start getting to higher levels and you have a good sum of money you can run a circle around the whole map and turn on traps to take out the waves. If you have to buy perks back a few times because you get downed keep hoarding and buying guns until you are ready to buy traps. I could get into complicated routes to run but who wants to read all that? This sums up a good strategy in a nutshell. Have fun playing!

Tricks

If you take the path upstairs from the first room you will find portraits hanging of the four zombie killers. Look up at them and press circle for ps3 and hold it, and your character will make a comment on the person in the picture. The four characters are Tank Dempsey, Richtofen, Nickoli, and Takeo. You may know about the three meteors on the map. Well, when you look at all of them and press circle the song “115″ by Elena Siegmen plays. A lot of cheats are posted on websites but most of them are fake. It’s best to read strategies and tiPS like this. I, personally, have never used a single cheat playing Black OPS, and I do just fine. If you want to play zombies with me and you have a ps3 my user-name is lightsowt98. I play often so hit me up!

Nine Steps to Work Less and Do More.

The Nine Steps to Work Less and Do More Step 1: Live and work on purpose

If you’re anything like me, a lot of what you call work has very little to do with getting anything important done in life. Like when I compulsively check my social media sites every hour. That kind of thing must go.

Step 2: Stop procrastinating

What is procrastinating except the very art of not doing the very stuff you know is most important? We’ll cover how to nip this in the bud, or at least arrange for someone to kick you into action when you’re delaying. And just in case you’re someone who claims being kicked into action doesn’t work for you, we’ll get out an Ostrich feather and tickle you into action instead.

Step 3: Conquer your technology

Our supposed savior, technology, is for many of us, the greatest obstacle we have to being truly productive. You’ll learn how to use your technology to help you focus, instead of hey, hang on a second. There’s an instant message coming in.

Step 4: Cultivate focus

Do you have any idea how much time is wasted multi-tasking? A lot. If you keep yourself focused and eliminate distractions, you can toss yourself into the kind of flow where the results come fast and easy. And you’ll do it entirely without the use of pharmaceutical supplements.

Step 5: Stay organized

When you have a place for everything and everything in its place, it’s no work at all to find what you need, when you need it. I’m not just talking about physical clutter; this is also about organizing your thinking, your projects, and your processes. Reclaim all that time you otherwise spend hunting for the next step, the next paper, or the next person by knowing exactly where to go and what to do when you need it.

Step 6: Don’t waste time

Sometimes you appear to be doing exactly, precisely what you should be doing, but are actually wasting time that could be spent doing something more meaningful, like eating bon-bons and sipping fruit flavored beverages in a hammock strung between your computer and your doorframe.

Step 7: Optimize!

As I mentioned before, doing things twice bores me silly. Especially when it comes to making mistakes. In Optimize, you’ll learn how to do things once or twice, streamline them to the point where the task is completely brainless, and Let’s just say that I’ll leave you to connect the dots. Think, “brain-eating Zombies.” The implications will jump right out.

Step 8: Build stronger relationships

You can’t get there alone; you need someone to program the GPS while you’re trying to read street signs. Relationships are, ultimately, how everything gets done. Together, we can do far, far more than we can alone. For example, one of us can measure while the other mixes, and then we can both eat the cookies when they’re ready. You’ll learn some excellent ways to create and deepen the relationships that matter most.

Step 9: Leverage!

The ultimate in Doing More, our final destination of leverage will give you several ways to make sure when you do get results, you get better, stronger, and faster than you’d ever dreamed possible.

A ridiculous poll I just seen on the history channel.

The history channel is doing a poll. The question is which catastrophic event do you think is most likely to bring on the end of the world? The choices are zombies or nuclear bomb, and more people are seriously saying zombies!!

I know that this country has not seriously gotten so stupid that they think zombies do or will ever exist?? They are just a made up creature from someone’s imagination years ago. And yes I know they say they have proof of people coming back from the dead, but they weren’t brain sucking zombies!! I mean seriously people?? And to choose that over a nuclear bomb? I think we have way more nuclear bombs out there in the world than we do zombies walking around?

And then why would the history channel even make that an option? Do they want to see if people are dumb enough to pick it? Well guess what, they are and they did.

I am sorry for my little rant here but that is just ridiculous.

What is the point???

How’s your Christmas shopping going? If you read my other articles on surviving the silly season then you should be all finished and hopefully sitting in your nice comfy chair drinking in some Christmas spirit and scoffing on a warmed mince pie with lashings of cream.

If not then you are probably enduring the crowded shops filled with zombies all trying desperately to find presents for people they hardly ever see all year with melting credit cards, migraines and mind boggling levels of stress. Sounds like fun doesn’t it?

Yesterday I did quite a bit of my Christmas shopping. It took 15 leisurely minutes; I didn’t even have to move from my seat (nor did I have to brush my hair, change my clothes or stress about finding a parking spot). At the touch of a key I’d spent $400.

At the time I felt rather pleased with myself. After doing a little bit of research I knew I’d scored myself a couple of decent bargains – and all I had to do now was wait for their arrival in the gleaming, white van that would pull up outside the house in a few days time.

But am I missing something?

Sure, I didn’t get to go in and out of a dozen different shops all selling identical items to compare prices. Nor did I have to smile sweetly at the sales people who are throwing themselves on prospective customers this time of year all seeking Christmas bonuses. And I didn’t even need to pause for a steaming cappuccino from that cute little café in the corner of the shopping center or have a chat with an old friend. Not one sales person asked me how I was and I didn’t get to wish anyone a ‘Happy Christmas’.

I’m beginning to think I completely missed the point.

Yes I know Christmas can be a stressful time of the year but isn’t that what makes it all the better when it gets here? When all the rushing around is done, all the presents are wrapped and sitting under the tree, the cupboard is filled with food we wouldn’t even consider the rest of the year and we can sit and wait for the magic to happen.

But even if we can’t afford to do any of these things we can hopefully be with loved ones for this special time of year.

Is there any point to this article I ask myself? Probably not! But I do know that the whole point of Christmas is to come together with loved ones and remember how lucky we are for all the things we do have by showing a little more kindness to others.

So, when you find yourself amongst a crowd of zombies – give them the gift of a smile and you just might bring them back to life.

Happy Christmas to you and yours!

Scientific facts about zombies.

People never think of a zombie as a real thing, or a matter of science. The only related terms people are able to connect with a zombie nowadays are video games and movies. I am here to challenge your way of thinking. I am here to challenge your mind…

Let’s begin. I have always been interested in zombies and was ignorant to the truth, such as some of you are now. I thought zombies were old men that came back to life because they smelled brains or flesh or whatever. Wrong! The definition of zombie in the dictionary is:” A dead soul that continues to walk the earth will-less and usually being compelled by a supernatural force, usually to carry out an evil doing.” Of course, my belief in zombies has nothing to do with supernatural forces, but I do believe that if zombies were here, they would be will-less, their minds long lost.

Who has seen the movie I Am Legend? The creators of the movie carried out a strong point that got many viewers thinking. I believe one day in our search for a cure, we will create a monster, just as in I Am Legend the cure for cancer was deadly and Will Smith was immune. My definition of the zombie has something to do with the brain rotting to the point of stupidity and ignorance I believe the soul will be banned and trapped, having no control over the blubbering, harmful shell its body has become.

Now that you have seen my point of view, it is time for some cold hard facts. First off, there are many types of thoughts on where the word zombie came from. One of the top ones is JUNBIE; the West Indian word for ghost. Another is NZAMBI; the Kongo word for spirit of a dead person. Another is ZONBI; A Haitian Creole or Louisiana Creole word that meant the dead walks the earth.

So, you might be at home right now thinking, So what? There’s some definitions on this dumb article, but I wanted to hear about whether zombies may take over the world some day! Trust me, I won’t leave that out, but right now I want to tell you something else you might not know. Have you ever wondered how people thought of such a crazy thing as zombies? Well, way back in history, near the time there were witch doctors, and people would go out in mobs and with pitchforks looking for ghosts, there was a harmful poison some ’sorcerers’ used. These people were conscienceless and conniving, and they would do anything for extra money. So instead of getting a job or something sensible, they would poison a person so that they looked dead and felt dead, and it put them in a deep coma. The person that was poisoned was buried alive, and the person who poisoned him/her was standing by to rob the grave. When the person came out of the coma (If they did. Some died underground.) they would rise out of the ground. So why didn’t the person that poisoned them just kill them? Because they went to the heartbroken family and said If you pay me my weight in gold, I will bring your family member back to life. That is usually why people thought they were sorcerers back then, because the believed sorcerer created a trick by usually poisoning or murder.

Time for the question you’ve been waiting for… Could a zombie apocalypse really happen? Yes. I really believe that by some form of disease or disability that appears in the near future we could become walking shells and mindless beings of the world. But you don’t want my opinion. You want a scientist or some educated person, rather than an educated guesser, so I am going to give you one or two scientists words on zombies. One Canadian scientist said “Trying to escape the fact of a zombie-like disease is inevitable.” Wow. He actually believes we are unable to escape the truth of how zombies are real. That man is a serious believer to make such a statement. Another says ‘Toxoplasmosa gondii is a parasite that is absolutely terrifying. It leaves its victims looking and matching the description of a zombie, so technically speaking, zombies are already on earth!” So that scientist believes zombies are already here!?! We better watch our backs…

Hi Guys Today im going to reveal how to be pro on Modern Warfare three and every single fps games. Enjoy, Feel Free to ask anything.

So first step is kinda obvious guys lets talk real. No one was a pro at the start even i wasn’t and surely im a gaming king. First of all you should pick your ump default class. Ump is everytime the best for noobs and leads you on to be a pro.

Pick your ump and go to free for all.

NOW IMPORTANT, NEVER EVER CAMP. CAMPING MAKES IT WORSER!

Run around with your ump, you will 80% see others running and could get a freekill overall and maybe have a high killstreak.

I have one philosophy guys and that is everytime make sure you have more kills than your deaths. If you do this, you will be a pro.Once you reached the level you can make ur classes, you will have the option to make your classes.

PRO CLASS 1 AT LEVEL 5:

UMP RED DOT

FMG9

STUN GRENADES

FRAG GRENADE

SLEIGHT OF HAND

QUICKDRAW

MARKSMAN

Use this class till about level 15-20.

And keep on doing the same thing. RUNNING AROUND. AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE AIMING DOWN UR SIGHTS IF YOU ARE SUSPICIOUS THAT SOMEONES NEAR BY THIS IS AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE FOR YOU

Your killstreaks should be:

UAV

PREDATOR MISSILE

HELICOPTER

NOW YOU ARE ABIT CLOSER TO BECOME A PRO. FEEL FREE TO ASK ANYTHING YOU WANT. GOOD LUCK OWNING GUYS!

The sixth episode of the walking dead reviews.

Walking Dead review Secretes episode six

In this episode we find out that the sheriff’s wife still has not told her husband about the baby she is expecting. Then there is also the fact that she does not know if the baby belongs to Rick or Shane. To make things more complicated Shane has started a romantic relationship with the blonde who is just getting over her sucidaleness. There is also the fact that Shane has two people who know the truth. The vet or doctor told the other man what he believes to be so. The other old man then tells Shane that he is on to him and thinks he should leave the group so he will not cause any more problems for them. Shane does not take kindly to that and basically tells the old man to keep his mouth shut. In the mean time the farmer’s daughter as finally come clean about her feelings to the pizza boy after he saves her life from a walker. She tells him she does not want him to put his life on the line anymore because he was born for greater things. It is true he is the only member who was literally on his own besides Rick at one point. There for he is smart about staying alive. In any case Rick finds out the truth and is upset with Laurie about not telling him about the baby she had and even more upset she did not tell him about the affair. He knew all along about the affair just not about the child in her womb. It is unclear what will happen to the group next but one thing is certain more and more people are finding out about the walkers in barn and the possible level of danger is growing when the old man refuses to make the barn more better so the walkers will not escape the barn and attack the people who have yet to be zombies.
