A student in Maryland allegedly dismembered his roommate and ate his heart and brain.  His father and brother reported him after finding a severed head and two hands in a bucket in his locker.   In Canada, police are searching for a porn actor who allegedly killed a man with an ice pick, raped him and dismembered his body before eating his flesh.  He’s since fled to France.  In Miami, a crazed drug addict attacked another homeless man and ate 80% of the flesh off his face.  Doctors in a Miami hospital are still trying to sort out his injuries.  

Hundreds of years ago in parts of the world this behavior might not have seemed so deviant as cannibalism has been known and documented around the world.  In India, for instance, it was the norm for folks to eat their parents as a sigh of respect and honor, while other tribes believed they could attain the qualities of those they admired by eating them, just as the Chinese eat monkey brains to be smarter and deer to run faster.  Fiji was once called the Cannibal Isles.  And during times of famine, many cases of cannibalism have been reported in many countries around the world.

However, an indication of how worried people are about a possible outbreak of rampant zombieism in America, Google records that ‘zombie apocalypse’ was the third most popular search term on their site last week.  People are wondering whether this is an aberration, or we really are being invaded by cannibals.    

Perhaps these latest cases of cannibalism are only an anomaly, but it could be the start of what the future holds if the price of food keeps rising:  human flesh as food resource.   In 2011, according to the Food Research and Action Center, a non-profit research group,  one out of every five Americans (18.6%), reported that they couldn’t always afford to feed everyone in their family.   Families are spending more than half their earnings on just keeping a roof over their head, and the food situation will only worsen if the economic disaster continues to deepen, the price of gas and oil continues to rise, and the mortgage crisis continues to throw people out of their homes.

In 1973, the prophetic movie ‘Soylent Green’ told the story of a polluted and over-populated Earth and a New York City that had expanded to over 40 million inhabitants, most of whom couldn’t feed themselves. Natural resources had been exhausted and fruits, vegetables and fresh meat didn’t exist.  There was little for humans to eat except what was produced by Soylent Industries, a food factory using plankton from the oceans as a food base.  However, a murder leads to an investigation and the discovery of a secret ingredient in the food.  Can you guess what it is?  Perhaps it’s time to move past George Orwell’s 1984 and look at the message that this prophetic story is warning us about.

Are we on the verge of a ‘zombie apocalypse’ or cannibalistic resurgence as the economy continues to drive families deeper and deeper into poverty?   Will humans seek out other humans as a source of food when supermarket groceries become more and more out of economic reach?   Only time will tell.

Has the world gone mad? When I think of Zombies, I think of an undead creature hungry for human flesh.  But in the movie sense, not in real life. All of the sudden I am hearing of a hunger for human flesh.  

I couldn’t believe that a drug (possibly a new potent form of LSD) could cause you to be so insane as to eat a persons face for 18 minutes.  As did Rudy Eugene, 31, who cops killed in the process of eating 75% of a man’s face off.  Ronald Poppo, a homeless man, miraculously survived, but doctors now have to face the challenge of reconstructing his face back together somehow.

Luka Rocco Magnotta, a Canadian man is currently the focus of a manhunt. He is a struggling model who turned to pornography and male escorting.  He sent a severed hand to Canada’s Liberal Party, a foot to the Conservatives and a torso was stuffed in a suitcase and tossed in the trash of the Montreal apartment building where he lived. He is labeled as a serial kitten-killer by animal rights activists and once dated a serial killer.  A Facebook group started in December 2010 identified Magnotta by name on its page and are asking the public’s help in tracking him down for animal cruelty. 

Alexander Kinyua, 21, was being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center after being charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault for killing his roommate.  He is convicted of killing and chopping up 37 yr old Agyei-Kodie. He admitted he ate Agyei-Kodie’s heart and part of his brain.  His head and hands were found in the basement by the victim’s brother.  

Now is all this Zombie related or just plain Drug related?

Similar attacks have been happening all around the world actually since 2009 but have not been reported on that much in the news. Maybe it’s a government cover up or conspiracy ? All I know is the cops in most of these cases seem to have advanced knowledge of the “zombie” like nature of those involved. Several accounts and eyewitness say cops were very concerned about getting to close to those involved. I have never seen that behavior before from police who are always heavily armed while out number those involved. Cops usually can’t wait to go in full steam ahead with guns drawn, mace ready, taser fully charged with their baton swinging. Ask your self why would these cops be so hesitant and nervous ? Did they fear what would happen to them if they were bitten by the attacker ? Do plenty of research and you will find on your own a heavy Masonic influence in every police force world wide. The battle for your mind and your imagination starts young and continues all your life. If you can’t imagine you will not be able to see the signs or symbols, you will not think anything of the world and believe everything is ok. I’m really tired of talking about this stuff because I know deep down that nobody will do anything about it. Knowing and having this knowledge is good and all but at some point action must be taken. The movie begins with Columbus, played by Jesse Eisenberg, who is looking for a safe place to go number two. Columbus has developed a list of rules for survival in Zombieland and these rules are interlaced throughout the movie – I liked the way they did this but others thought it was a distraction – to each his own I guess.

Anyway, he eventually meets up with a tough SOB called Tallahassee who is played by Woody Harrelson. Tallahassee lives for killing zombies and finding the last Twinkies before their expiration date hits. Columbus and Tallahassee are heading toward Texarkana when they meet two girls who are sisters – Wichita played by Emma Stone (the quota hot chick) and Little Rock played by Abigail Bresland. Wichita and Little Rock scam the guys out of their guns and Tallahassee’s Caddy SUV and take off toward a theme park called Pacific Playland, near Los Angeles. Columbus likes Wichita and Tallahassee wants revenge so they take off after the girls. Eventually they all meet up again, sort out their differences, and head to Pacific Playland.

Once they get to LA they crash at Bill Murray’s estate only to find him alive and well. He dresses and does his make up so that he can go outside with the zombies without getting eaten alive. Bill dies pretty quick because Columbus doesn’t know he is in the house and Tallahassee and Wichita convince him to scare Columbus. Columbus is fooled by Bill’s costume and promptly blows him away with his double barrel shottie.

A few nights later the girls ditch the guys again and head out for Pacific Playland and get trapped by zombies. The guys go save them in a great bloody zombie shootout, Columbus overcomes his fear of clowns and finally gets to first base with Wichita.

They could have ruined the movie by working romance into it but it all seemed to work without being overbearing. This was a great movie and comes fully recommended…by me!

I mean, Are we talking Twilight Vampires, Drackula vampires, Ann Rice vampires. Jim Butcher Vampires. You, Also have to break this down for WereWolves. And, For zombies. Well that’s’ easy you ether have mindless slow ones. Or Mindless Fast ones. A intelligent Zombie is not a zombie it would be a greater undead. But honestly I have no clear answer.” – Tony K.

“Werewolves. I’ve always like the concept of just losing control like that. Weird I know but it has always appealed to me” – Ben F.

“Zombies. Because they (until recently) were not a central portion of a story line quite the way the others (vamps/wolves) are. In “The Walking Dead” while they still do not get the portrayal that I would like (uh smart Zombies anyone?), they at least still help move the story along. Yes, it isn’t a central element in that they don’t feature into every single episode or in every scene but the background part that they encompass, the danger they represent, and the way they are affecting the centeral characters is different from what I’ve seen elsewhere.

In most Zombie flicks it’s MDK (Mass Death Kill/Murder Death Kill) on a large scale with non-stop action. Always about killing and surviving the night, not really about surviving and killing only when you have to. No real story with the ‘human’ characters either. I just feel I would connect better with a movie that had a smarter Zombie. “Zone One” by Colson Whitehead is a book I’ve read last year before Halloween. Good read for Zombie lovers.” – Sorta Creative

“If I had to become one of them, I’d prefer vampire. It would allow me to retain the greatest amount of control over myself. For most terrifying to have to face: zombies. By the time they get to me, and/or I’m made aware that they actually exist, I imagine there would be a nearly unstoppable number of them. Can’t remember which show it was, but they computer modeled vamps vs zombies. The vamp punched through the head of a z and one of the experts commented, “Oh good, you killed one.” there are just sooooooo many zombies… How long could you keep up the fight?” – Bill W.

“Werewolves. Zombies are gross. And vampires have been used so much. Werewolves are usually portrayed as powerful, earthy, and group oriented. They blend in better so stories about them have more room. Vampires are restricted to night (or to sparkles which is just wrong, very wrong). Werewolves have all that energy and power. I think the cold, lonely, and self-loathing vampire image had just been beaten to death. And, again, zombies? Gross. You can use them for supporting minions but that’s about it.” – Rhonda B.

“The vampire and zombie are very overplayed, especially lately. The werewolf is probably the most versatile out of all of them. They can blend into society, have a pretty amazingly difficult way to kill them, and can be either your best ally or worst enemy. Vamps and Zombies are mostly selfish creatures, which is terrible in any situation you can imagine.” – Cr G.

“Always been a fan of werewolves. They are very loyal to their pack/ family, are living breathing creatures, though long lived not immortal and there is just something so primal and terrestial about them that strike a cord deep within human kinds psyche (Well at least with me)” – Mike V.

When the flight takes off, the crew doesn’t think much of it, just another routine flight with new passengers. They all have their reasons for being there, some are going to see family, some have a job there and others are going to new places for medical reasons. But then, things go horribly wrong while they’re in mid-air. The largest man on the plane starts to get sick, and he goes insane enough that all the men on the plane have to lock him in the bathroom. The captain of the flight gets worried and calls air control and they are told to land in a terminal. Little do they know that this isn’t just a minor case of someone going crazy.  The terminal is locked down and all types of rescue vehicles surround the building and reveal that they are under quarantine.

I’m not going to lie, I loved the first Quarantine. It was creepy, it was eerie and I think it’s one of the only non-paranormal movies that have been shot like that. I really wish that this one kept the same filming technique at least; it didn’t seem like a sequel until a little bit later into the movie. There was a man that was filming throughout the entire movie; I don’t understand why they didn’t just have him videotaping it.

Ultimately, it was ‘Snakes on a Plane’ but with rats. Thankfully, they didn’t stay on the plane for the entire movie, which was something I was instantly worried about. It wasn’t a plane the size that ‘Snakes on a Plane’ was, it was a tiny little thing that had one or two seats on the side and I knew it was going to be awful if it stayed there. Thankfully, they went to the terminal before things got too messy and boring in the plane.

A quick mention, this movie is supposed to be roughly in the same time frame as the first one. On the plane, one of the passengers is watching the news cast of what happened in the first one.

I have to say that while the movie was alright, the two easiest to mess up parts of the movie. For one thing, they tried to make a reason behind both of the movies and why the zombies exist in the first place. The reason they made was absolutely terrible and made no honest sense, it was incredibly lame and I kind of wanted to strangle the writers of this one. The villain didn’t seem like the type of person that would do that at all.

Overall, three out of five stars.

This strategy will get you to at least round 20.

When playing solo on Ki-no all you have to do to get to the higher rounds is either run a zombie hoard around the main room in a circle, or circle the map. If a zombie runs in front of you simply shoot him or try to run around him. Make sure you buy jug as soon as possible, and try to get a decent gun. I have found that running with the thunder-gun is easiest. When the zombies stop spawning you can turn around and shoot with your secondary weapon (continue circling in the same direction just turn your character). Don’t be afraid to waste thunder-gun ammo if you need to. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the  teleport is ready to use at the end of each round. If you are in trouble it is there for a quick escape. When you get to the pack-a-punch room utilize your frag grenades. Unless you are upgrading a gun do not shoot the zombies from the pack-a-punch room, because ammo is precious. When you start getting to higher levels and you have a good sum of money you can run a circle around the whole map and turn on traps to take out the waves. If you have to buy perks back a few times because you get downed keep hoarding and buying guns until you are ready to buy traps. I could get into complicated routes to run but who wants to read all that? This sums up a good strategy in a nutshell. Have fun playing!

Tricks

If you take the path upstairs from the first room you will find portraits hanging of the four zombie killers. Look up at them and press circle for ps3 and hold it, and your character will make a comment on the person in the picture. The four characters are Tank Dempsey, Richtofen, Nickoli, and Takeo. You may know about the three meteors on the map. Well, when you look at all of them and press circle the song “115″ by Elena Siegmen plays. A lot of cheats are posted on websites but most of them are fake. It’s best to read strategies and tiPS like this. I, personally, have never used a single cheat playing Black OPS, and I do just fine.
