Malaysia is a federation of 13 states and three federal territories in Southern Asia, located between the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea. The name Malaysia was adopted in 1963. It covers a total landmass of 329,847 km .The capital city is Kuala Lumpur.
The country is divided into two regions –the Malay Peninsula and Borneo–by the South China Sea both west and east Malaysia feature coastal plains rising too often densely forested hills and mountains. Today, an estimated 59% of Malaysia remains forested .Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Bruneian and Philippines border the exotic, beautiful federal country.
International trade and manufacturing play a large role in Malaysia’s blooming economy. The Strait of Malacca, lying between Sumatra and Peninsular Malaysia, is arguably its most imp shipping land .At one time, Malaysia was the biggest producer of tin, rubber and palm oil in the world.
