Self Improvement
When tackling a huge project like self improvement there are a few things that you should keep in mind and maybe even consider.
When tackling a huge project like self improvement there are a few things that you should keep in mind and maybe even consider.
Things take time. That can’t be simpler said. Everything you do in life takes time. Self improvement is no different. Yeah, you want to change that quirky habit of yours, introduce something new in your life or just plain out change something about yourself is going to take time and patience. It’s not going to happen overnight, so get that idea out of your head! This is going to take often longer than you hope. But isn’t the change going to be worth it? So don’t give up if you realize it might take you a year to quit that habit.
Things may not happen instantly and self improvement is going to take time. To help this along and to improve yourself easier it’ll help if you think about “instant satisfaction.” It’s easier to improve yourself with this kind of thinking. You’re making this change about you and in turn as you are becoming transformed you become satisfied with the results that you begin to see.
This is going to take effort. Yes, you are going to have to put some form and kind of effort to the area of improvement. There are only a limited number of things that can be achieved quickly. You’re very lucky if your problem is one of those, but most likely it’s not. The less effort that you put into this change or improvement upon yourself is going to take even more time.

good article, people tend to give up to easy on things they want to change. Like you said in this article “things take time”

thanks sherrieshe about your comment. I agree with what you said. people do give up easily on things actually in every aspect of their lives, just not on what they want to change.

self improvement is indeed a journey so expect it to be a wild and bumpy road, laden with temptations to hold you back. but when you finally succeed, your rewards are greater so the journey is certainly worthwhile. great post.
