10 High Paying Jobs Across America

A list of the highest paying jobs all across America.

To start of this article, it can be said that you should choose the job that fits you, and is something you enjoy doing. However, if you don’t really care about what you do, so long you have enough cash in your bank account to enjoy life, well there here is a list of the BEST (and worst) paying jobs across America.

The Best Paying Jobs Across America (Overall)

  1. So on top comes professional athletes. Take David Beckham for example. 250 million dollars over the course of the next 5 years. Tiger Woods himself made over 97 million dollars in 2006. Of course, if you are female there are differences in how much you get paid. In tennis, the women get paid more than the men do on average! (Keep in mind though, that if you want to become a pro-Athlete, you should always keep a good plan B, just in case you do happen to lose your occupation. If you don’t, you may just end up being street beggar asking for free change.)
  2. Second comes Surgeons and Physicians. For a base salary (when you first get the job) you make on average, $147,000 annually. At the peak of your career, about $181,250 annually. Now it may seem like a no-brainer to go become a surgeon, or a physician. But there are many emotional and physical factors that can affect your career. Should you lose a patient, you can be affected emotionally, and if you don’t like blood, that too can affect your well-being. Not only that, at the top of the suicide list are doctors. Mainly because of the easy access to drugs, and high stress jobs. Also remember to get a job like this, you require lots of school, think about all the work that it might take (not saying the work isnt worth it) but its something to think about.
  3.  Anesthesiologists come in at third, with an average yearly earnings of $174,810 dollars. These people have the responsibility of putting patients to sleep. They also make sure your breathing and heart rates arent failing before during or after an operation. Also here, you can be affected emotionally. If you accidentaly give a patient too much, or too little, it may marr you emotionaly for the rest of your life.
  4. Obstetricians and Gynecologists get paid $171,810 a year on average. These important people deliver babies and make sure a woman is operating properly down there. But for real factor in the emotional / physical elements that could cause this job to lose its appeal. I mean, really.
  5. Orthodontists make about $163,410 dollars a year. And the perks are pretty good. You get to choose your own hours, and you work about 3-4 days a week. But there is a dark side to the dentistry business. Dentists are at the second highest suicide rates. The average dentist is 6 times more likley to commit suicide. The rationale? People just flat out don’t enjoy going to the dentist. I mean, how would you feel if you did a great job working on your patients tooth, and all they can say for thanks is a few curse words because their jaw hurts.
  6. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons come in next, with about $160,000 dollars a year. These people tend to any sort of diseases ailing the general head area. It is a type of special surgical profession, and becuase you are a surgeon, you also are exposed to the potential health affects of being a doctor.
  7. General Internist. They make about $150,000 dollars anually. General Internists take care of a persons insides. Organs, other internal structures are a part of their job. Also here all the ailments of being a doctor come into play.
  8. Psychiatrists make about $146,150 a year. You may think that all they do is ask questions about your feelings and whats going on in your mind. But that’s not all they do, the also play golf and drink margaritas on their personal yachts in a lake. (Don’t they all wish)
  9. Prosthodontists make a little bit less than psychiatrists at about $146,080 dollars yearly. Prosthodontists specialize in the reconstruction of teeth. They work with dentures, crowns, implants, etc. Also keep in mind here the potentialy dangerous effects of being a dentist.
  10. At tenth comes a Chief Executive Officer. A different kind of job, they get paid about $140,210 a year. But as an added bonus, at the end of the year they always receive a bonus amount of money.

That concludes my article. This is just an average calculation, real salaries can depend on many factors. For example, your salary may depend on your location on the world. Also it may depend on your experience, and how long you have been doing what you have been doing. So in all, I hope you enjoyed this article.
