Ø  Before you take up a job do your best to collect all the details about the job. Decide yourself whether you will be comfortable with this job. Is this the best one you can find in the industry? If not, what are the key benefits you will be getting by taking this job?

 

2)      What is its scope?

 

Ø  Consider the scope of the job. Is it a wider one than your current job? What new areas you can expertise by taking this job. Will it be helpful in going forward. Always thing about a long term future before taking up. How much percent I can execute this job successfully. Am I really capable of taking such responsibility?

 

3)     How this is going to improve my career?

 

Ø  This is one of the key points you should think at least 3 times before taking up a job. How this job is going to improve my career. Am I upgrading my knowledge or down grading? Is this job worth taking up? Can’t I find any other career which will utilize my knowledge/ skills successfully?

 

4)     Am I getting any new knowledge? 

 

Ø  Every job you take should upgrade your knowledge rather than down grading it. You should improve your skill set each time. This will help you in a long term career.

 

5)     Is Timings comfortable to me?

 

Ø  Shall the timings be comfortable for me? Shall I find a work life balance? Suppose if you get a night shift job which pay you say just 100$ than your current salary is it really worth taking it up at the expense of your sleep?

Ø  Always think about monetary benefits before you take up a job. Shall I get enough bonuses? Shall I get medical coverage for me and my family? Always think every company is utilizing your skill set and making profit .Therefore they should also provide at least some decent percent of the profit to employees.

Ø  Job will be interesting only if you find it as a hobby. If you love your job as much your hobby you will always find a room for improvement. Likewise you will be dedicating yourself fully and your potential is 100% utilized. Your boss will recognize you easily and you will be contented.

 

8)     Can I think about a long term relationship?

 

Ø  Always long term relationship will the employer is appreciated rather than a series of short terms. Always think about long term relationships. Shall I continue like this for next few years?

Ø  Think about company profile, It is always good to join a reputed company which offers a 100$ less than a start up this will help you to become more recognized in future.

Ø  Work satisfaction is the important thing you will find appealing in the end. If you are not satisfied you are not happy. If you are not happy, you won’t find anything around you interesting.
