Useful suggestions to help you go through work productively even if your jaded.

Have you experience that there are times at work that you feel drowsy? Times where you have nothing else to do but to wait for the working hours to finish? Well I must say I’ve been guilty of it.

I’ve come up with 10 most useful things that can help you avoid boredoms at work:

  1. Grab a Cup of Coffee

Drink a cup of tea or coffee to awaken you nerves and go on with your work even if you don’t have anything to do. It really helps you to avoid yawning in front of your boss. A good substitute would be, to eat mini bars of chocolate (I think it’s healthy, it’s from Cocoa, a fruit). You should stock some of it in your drawers.

  2. Expand Your Knowledge

Continue learning, read books or articles that would widen your knowledge in any kind of issues or topics. It’s much better if you’re aware of the things that happen in your surrounding than just to stick into what you already know.

  3. Apply the 5Ss in your work space

Sort, Straighten, Sweep, Standardize, Sustain, this way you will have more positive aura in your atmosphere.

  4. Walk around the office

Just avoid loitering. Go to the loo for a little stretching. Do some little exercise even if you’re just confide in a small space. It will not just get your boredom away; it will also give you a healthy body.

  5. Clean and sort your e – mails

This is applicable to companies who are allowed to check their personal e – mails at work. Make room for your inbox. You can even reply to some, especially if it needs an urgent attention.

  6. Read Some Texts

If you have received so many forwarded text messages from your friends and you haven’t had the time to read it. It’s now your time, you can either write it in a book if you like it or you can discard it right away. It will now give your mobile phone a space for new messages.

  7. Write a journal.

A chronicle in which you could say the details of your work, home, people around you or life at general. You can even paste some small things that would remind you of a memorable event in your life.

  8. Have a work – related conversation with a colleague.

This would be beneficial for your company seeing that you can come up with good ideas since it is like brainstorming. Once you enjoy it you won’t even tell what time it is already.

  9. Breathe for a while, think a moment.

I’m sure you’re not always bored, there maybe times that you’re busy. Get this chance to think of relaxing things like the ocean’s view, the falling leaves, the sound of the birds chirping and the like. Reflecting for a moment to help you go on through the rest of your week.

  10. Don’t just always look at the clock.

Make an article instead, regardless of any topic, it maybe about your work, your home, your friends, etc. Your colleagues will surely think that you’re working so hard.

These useful tips are not for anyone to really follow, it’s just a suggestion that you might want to use. I’ve done most of it, and it really worked. It really gave me more good vibes about my field. That’s why every time I go to work; I have a positive outlook that it’s not just another typical day but an extraordinary one.
