An Example of a Script

Hi everyone,

here’s an example of a possible script I could be writing. I just thought i share it with you guys ^.^

Working Title: The Job Interview.

Character Names & Descriptions:

Brad- A 20 year old man who didn’t go to collage, and wants a sophisticated job with a big pay. He doesn’t know much overall, which naturally lowers his self esteems and makes him unsure if he can ever find a high paying job. Brad is thinking of working as a journalist, and maybe in the future become a parent.

Mr. Randy: A man who is the boss of a journalism company. Mr. Randy can sometimes be very harsh during his many job interviews. He doesn’t care about rejecting anyone because his successful company is so full of hard workers already; in fact, sometime he finds pleasure in rejecting people. He is an ordinary man in his mid fifties, impatiently waiting for retirement to come.

Location: Inside a building in a large office, around noon.

Rising Action: Brad just walks in to the office for a job interview. Brad can already tell based on Mr. Randy’s rash personality that he will most likely not get the job. Mr. Randy isn’t focused that much on their conversation, mostly on his coffee. It’s as if he is trying to seem like he doesn’t care, so Brad will feel hurt. Brad starts to get more and more worried that he will not get the job.

Climax: Mr. Randy looks at his resume and sees some interesting things. He notices some flaws, and eventually finds out that Brad didn’t go to University AND lied on his resume. Brad breaks down and starts talking about how much he wanted the job, even if he didn’t go to university.

Conclusion/Resolution: Mr. Randy no longer cares about Brad, and simply kicks Brad out of his office, while showing no emotion whatsoever and goes back to drinking his coffee. Brad walks out of the office in shame, and regrets what he did.
