Bunchleys Pond

Pond clean up.

Cleaning up Bunchley’s!
Having spent time Clearing up cars from Angerland Common back in August, our next challenge was to clean up Bunchley’s Pond itself. This we managed to do on Sunday, 28th August, collecting 25 bags of rubbish from in and around the pond on the way, as well as five scooters, two trolleys, various car parts and a rotary washing machine.

We were helped by Geoff Brown from Potters Bar based company Diversity, who came along with a motorised dinghy searching for more rubbish to remove.

Hopefully now that the pond as been cleaned up, Anglers will be able to use the pond for fishing again.

Dean Archer, chairman of HRAG said: “People are rallying round and hopefully they will do so even more in the future.

“We would like companies and individuals to contribute to our efforts to clean the place up and help our with other projects as well.”

“I would like to thank everybody who has turned up, Karen Meeks of Asda for supplying refreshments, and Diversity, who have let us have their equipment.”
