Dealing with Difficult Co-Workers

Difficult Co-workers.

No matter where you work, there will always be at least one difficult person you will have to contend with.  Unfortunately, this is how it goes and will be.  I deal with two difficult people who should have retired years ago.  They seem to hang on and hang on for no reason.  I guess they love to make other people miserable and irritable.

Everyday that you go to work, you try your best to make the day great.  You get up early, take a long hot shower, eat a great breakfast then head out the door.  In the back of your mind, you are praying that the traffic is going to be smooth and your co-workers will be somewhat civil.

Let’s take a bad day…….

You leave on time, but for some reason nobody can drive worth a damn.  The sun is out and shining, but there are multiple car pileups on the highway.  Get your kicks on Route 66 as they say!  So you are dealing with the traffic situation as best you can.  You turn on the radio listening to some really hip music trying to keep yourself calm.  Though you really want to go into a rage, but you know darn well you can’t.  It’s been two hours and you finally make it to the good ole workplace.  From being slightly late, you get the typical, spiteful glare from one of your co-workers.  She’s the same one that always gives you a hard time no matter what.  She’s one of those co-workers that no matter what you do, it’s never good enough.  Funny enough, she’s the one that’s the disorganized one and scattered brain.  Yet, you get the gruff attitude from her.  In addition to that, she’s the typical bully as well.  I’ve seen and been there, it truly sucks!

So you just brush it off and think to yourself that she must be a completely miserable person to act that way.  She cannot even stop to look at herself.  Instead, she picks at everything you do and does not even remotely look at the great things about you.  More than likely, you have a lot more greater things about you then not so great things.  People tend to point out the bad things versus the good things.  This is so common and happens so many times.  It’s very unfortunate that people cannot look more at our strengths then our weaknesses.  It really goes to show you that people are so miserable that they need to bring others down just to make themselves feel better.  I have come to this conclusion!
