Designing Online Games: Is It for You?
Aboujt the online gaming world and whether or not it is suited to everyone.
There are many things that make a good online gaming enviroment. Firstly, providing users with a realistic experience to make them feel immersed in the world of online gaming is most definately something that we all look for in the relm of online gaming..or is it?
For the more technically minded, we use our imagination twinned with massive amounts of information to provide us with the right amount of information to create a virtual reality within our own heads. That is, in all honesty what makes most gaming developers excellent. The ability to be able to create entire realities from a few things written down on a piece of paper.
Of course it isn’t all about using your imagination to provide you with access to what your finished game will look like. Being able to use existing levels of graphic design to produce new worlds, which also uses a considerable amount of your own imagination is something that developers use to provide themselves with the inspiration to be able to produce new venues, characters, and events that will stimulate the online player enough to keep them playing!
So for most people this turns out to be an almost impossible task. Working with your imagination is not something that we can all use to our own advantages.
So what do you think? Do you feel up to designing an online game? I’m just about to start my first online game, although it will be primarily text based. Watch my blog for more information.

I admire people who have the capability to design games. My programming knowledge is very limited and though I try to improve my skills it doesn’t seem to stick in my head! I know basic html amd some xml, css and I’m midway through trying to fathom php. I have to say I officially hate programming, it’s just too hard!
