Do Unions Serve The Common Good?
Why yes, yes they do.
Do Unions Serve the Common Good?
Yes, unions serve the common good. They serve the common good because unions protect the rights of workers in the workplace. The rights of the workers are important to the common good because the majority of society is made of workers. If the rights of the workers are protected then the rights of the people are protected. People’s rights are a very important part of the common good.Rights can be shared without them being diminished. Unions also earn workers better benefits, sometimes the benefits help the workers families. These benefits also serve the common good because thesebenefits provide for a better society. Unions also provide for a saver work environment. This safer work environment adds to the common good because safety is a good that can be shared with all. Unions also would provide equality in the workplace when there was none. Many times gender or race would determine how much money you earned. Unions however changed this and now everyone has equal pay. Unions serve the common good by making sure that everyone obeys the rights of man by performing their duties to the workers.
