Employers Monitoring Employees Work Computers for Personal Use..
Do you believe it is right for employers to have the right to monitor their employees personal Internet use while they’re at work?

*My opinion counts too:
It’s my opinion, employers should have the right to monitor their employee’s work computer for personal Internet use at any time they choose. When an employee is on the payroll, he/she is there to work and not to conduct personal Internet use. When employee’s do this, they’re usually breaking the rules an employer has set forth prior to the employee being hired. All employers should be strict and stern about employees who are being paid to work and are doing personal Internet browsing on their time.
*Personal Internet use while on the job is wrong:
It’s my belief, any employee who stoops to the level of using their work computers for personal Internet use while they are on the time-clock should “not” be paid for their time. To me, this is the same thing as a person cheating or stealing something from someone, because in essence, they’re being paid while they do other things other than their assigned duties.
Many employee’s who browse the Internet during the day for their personal use, then turn around and apply for over-time because their workload is too much for them to handle. Can you believe people have the nerve to do this? Do you think they have trouble sleeping at night? What do you think they see when they look in the mirror everyday?
Some employee’s have been known to have been viewing porn on their work computers, while they have been using it for their personal Internet use at work and they’ve also been arranging dates with young teenage girls or boys who they’ve been chatting with. The authorities have actually gone into some businesses to confiscate their computers and the employer did not know what in the world was even going on. How embarrassing can this be to an employer? Don’t you believe the employee will have a hard time getting another job?
*Summation:
When a person is being paid to work, that is what they should do. It’s my feelings, that “no” employee should be able to use a work computer at anytime for their personal use, and if they are caught doing so, they should be fired on the spot.
