How Much Do Nurses Get Paid
This is about nursing salaries.
Nursing is a popular career that people are studying today. There is a high demand for nurses and you do make great money being a nurse. Nurses do get pay higher than most professionals out there. They do work harder than most people do. It’s like being the left hand of doctors. Doctors write the orders then the nurses have to do the job. It could be difficult at times too. It’s one of the most stressful jobs out there. You do get reward for it and that is your salary but most of the time, you end up spending that money on trips to the doctor for your stress. I’ve seen many of my co-workers cried during work before. I’ve cried myself. It’s not one of those jobs that you get to sit down and get all dress up. You get to wear scrubs that will become dirty with patient’s fluid and you get to clean patients up too. It’s not a glamorous job. It’s one of the most unpleasant jobs out there. No one else has to deal with human fluids or smelly body secretions but the nurses see it on a daily basis. In this kind of economy, it’s better to have a demanding job than no job at all.
What is the salary range for nurses? It will depend on your specific job title. Each nurse gets a little more or less. It will depend on the type of career that you go into. If you go into traveling as a nurse, you will get more pay. If you go into education, it might be easier for you but you might even get more pay. If you go into administration, you might get less pay. If you go into med-surg, you might get more pay. It will depend on the particular job that you will go into. Some of them pay more than others. If you have more experiences, you will get more pay too. If you go into supervisory positions, you will get more pay. If you are a travel nurse that travels all around town then you get more pay than someone who stays at one hospital.
An average nurse on a hospital floor gets about $30 per hour within 6 months of working as a nurse. They might get more if they have more experiences or if they’re on a tough floor. It will depend on the hospital and the union that they’re in too. It will also depend on whether they’re in a night or day shift too. The night shift gets more pay. If they are hired as a per diem and not a full time but works almost as many hours as full time employees then they might get more pay since they don’t have any benefits from their job. There will be come nurses that will make as much as $50 an hour if they’re a supervisor. It will depend on how much experience they have and what type of position they’re in.
