How to Choose a Career?
Career choice is associated with one’s passions, interests and skills. Are we going to give priority to an extremely valued career, but which involves stress and does not offer any professional satisfaction?
Probably we all know kids who say from the earliest age: “I want to be a doctor.’ Some of them will pursue this objective by the time when they succed.Others change their preferences along the way, under the influence of different factors.
In fact, everything starts with motivation and how powerful it is for each of us. It leads us to choose a field in which we can build a career.Unfortunately, nowadays, the number of people strongly motivated by passion for a specific activity decreased drastically. Most of those who are just beginning their professional activity, are primarily guided by financial rewards. Starting with the time they are students, some young people think to follow a particular career because it is modern and demanded, because it is required to have information and diplomas in that domain in order to succeed on the labor market, and, the most important, because it brings a lot of money. There are also many situations in which young people are influenced to choose a specific professional field, which does not have necessarily a very beneficial effect.
How to choose your career
We have to chose. Now, other questions occur. Career choice is in line with our passions, interests and skills? Are we going to give priority to an extremely valued career, but which involves stress and does not offer any professional satisfaction? Is it better to arrive home being tired, stressed and in a bad mood or to work pleasant and efficient, having the necessary force to spend our free time in a more agreeable way?
We need to think very well if it worths to give up the things we like and at which we are good, in exchange for a career that is ‘in trend’, that brings quick and consistent rewards. Also we will need to anticipate and if we’ll remain or not with a high satisfaction degree in this career.
Also, we can think about the option that offers us the chance to fallow our passions and make the best to find the necessary motivation to do what we like, even if, in the first phase we will not earn as much as we desire. The money will come during time, but the satisfaction will encourage us since the beginning.
