Improve Your Working Environment

by Inquisitivein in Work, May 8, 2009

Stop whining and do something if your job is too demanding.

I often hear people whining about their jobs. “I work too many hours.” My boss is a jerk.” Although miserable, unhappy employees refuse to change. Either demand an excellent working environment at a job or quit.

A nasty boss throws a salary, requires a certain amount of work each week and then makes it impossible to complete tasks in less than fifty hours? Howl! If the imbecile employer refuses to grant a forty hour week regardless of how much work is completed, quit. Work somewhere where you are treated like a king or queen.

No one starves after quitting a job. This notion is a fear tactic hurtled at employees to keep them from quitting. Also, ignore people that say nonsense like, “You are lucky to have a job in this recession.” Take the time and effort to land a great job with a dynamite employer. Spend free time looking for a plum job. Personal life suffers when sticking with a bad boss. Take classes, read extensively and ask everyone for help.

Create a movement. Tell everyone you know to demand an excellent working environment or quit. Whatever happened to the proposed four day work week? If enough people demand thirty hours a week, forty hours disappears. Don’t listen to bosses whining that thirty hours will put them out of business. These bosses are greedy. After you find a great company help your friends land jobs. Eventually imbecile employers pound the pavement looking for a plum job because all their employees quit.
