Interviewing Skills

The hardest thing about scoring a new job is the interview. The company has  decided that you are qualified; they just want to see if you fit their image. Everyone wants a job.

Rule one over dress you want to look professional .Don’t ever go in jeans it says you do not really care what the employer thinks. I have personally turned down applicants for having on jeans. 

Know who will be interviewing you personal opinions are what this part of the interview. Always be prepared with everything   the interviewer might ask for.

The most important thing is what you do not say. Answer the questions with an energetic upbeat tone do not over sell yourself. Employers want to hire people who listen.

 I was recently part of a group interview. Twenty people were interviewing for one job.  In a room full of masters degrees, 2 people said “I don’t really care what the job is just need a pay check.

One woman said it was her duty to force education on stupid people so they were not a social burden. After six years of college, you would think one would know when to keep their mouth shut. None of them got the job.
