Job Fairs in Goa
Scope of employment in Goa.
Goa is a very small state of India. These workshops and job fairs are conducted through the year of 2010-2011. Many experts from the country had come to lecture here guiding the students and unemployed.
Theatre is one of the specialties of Goa. Many people join theatre which is popularly known as tiatr here organizes workshops to guide the promising artists. On 11th July 2010 Tiatr Academy of Goa in collaboration with Parish Youth of Carambolim organized one workshop on theatre. Mr. Wilson Mazarello was the chief guest who himself is a popular name on Goan theatres. He encouraged the artists in his speech. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Conceicao Silva, also asked the attendants of the workshop to take interest in Goan culture of theatres, music and songs. This workshop was open to all and was attended by many theatre loving local people.
Kyrion, an IIT Delhi alumni venture had conducted a workshop at BITS Goa College on Ethical Hacking on 4th and 5th September 2010. The main aim was to deliver the concept of Ethical hacking, Window hacking and E mail Hacking. They also taught the participants about wireless hacking and Software cracking and patching. There was a fee of Rs.1,100, but they provided free Ethical hacking and Information Security Software Tool Kit with E Book. They presented all students with authorized certificate after the workshop.
The Consultancy and Extension Services Cell of the Government College of Arts and Commerce, Virnoda, Pernem, organised a career awareness workshop on Civil Services. This exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission to select candidates for IPS, IFS and IAS. This workshop was held on January 13th 2011 in collaboration with Directorate of Official Language, Panaji. The workshop was conducted in Konkani and Marathi language, the local languages of Goa. The basic aim of the workshop was to assist the students to appear in the all India Civil Service Examinations. According to The Navhind Times the workshop was attended by about 72 students, ex-students and teachers. The participants received certificates at the hands of Mr Gopalkrishna Padgaonkar, Mr Nagesh Sardesai, and Dr Gervasio S F L Mendes, at the valedictory session.
There was a medical workshop for medical students especially those who are interested in biomedical research. This was conducted by National Institute of Health on 11th to 15th September 2010. The Times Education Boutique 2010 Goa was conducted at Hotel Fidalgo for students and teachers and academicians for a guidance of career opportunities.
