Living La Vida Unemployed

Month #1

Lucky for me that I have been laid off due to consolidation. Finally I get a real vacation from a BS job that was stupid enough to pay me a huge salary for four years and all I did was sit in an office making up stupid ideas  and bossing people around. I’ll find another job soon enough and do the same thing.

Month #2

I’ll start looking for work after the third month meanwhile get on my Harley and ride!

Month #3

One more month to go before I start looking for work again. Good thing my last job had gave me a severance of 32 weeks pay. Everyone else is probably on unemployment by now. I’ll wait until my severance runs out then I’ll milk the system unless I find work before then. Of course it has to pay the same as what I was making before.

Month # 4

Allot of jobs out there but the salary doesn’t pay squat! I’m better off collecting unemployment but I’ll worry about it later. Meanwhile keep looking for work until my severance runs out. Maybe I should start budgeting and get rid of unneeded expenses? Get back on my Harley and ride!

Month #5

I got allot of yard work done!

Month #6

Holly crap! I’ve become “Mr. Mom”. My wife is working and I’m keeping the house clean and preparing meals. I shop at three different grocery stores to save money and I am doing pretty good with coupons. I’m eating healthier and exercising daily. I have lost 20 lbs. My cholesterol is back to normal and my blood pressure is low. I feel great!

Month #7

My severance and health care insurance is going to run out soon. I need to get serious now and get a job.

Can’t find work regarding my position. Must have a degree or experience in a specific area. The same three or five jobs that I applied for four months ago are still out there. What’s going on with this job market? C’mon Obama I voted for you now it’s time for you to get your stuff together and start focusing on the unemployment issue.

Month #7.5

My severance is gone. I’m taping into my savings now. this stinks! I can’t find a job and unemployment pays me $300.00 a week the same as some one who made half what I did. Maybe I should go to school? I can pay $14000 in loans and get a two year degree as a x-ray tech or physical therapy assistant so I can make half of what I made last year? Fhagettaboudit!
