Making It in Our Economy
We are all looking for someway to make either extra cash or a new source of income in the rough times we are facing now. There are ways to do this, that many people overlook or don’t consider at all.
It’s tough finding work in today’s economy. The Department of Labor states they are overwhelmed by people who are without jobs. The news raves about the job loss rate rising more and more with each passing day. So, what can those looking for income do until the economy picks up? They can’t sit at home and loose everything they’ve worked so hard for, and they can’t live off unemployment forever either. Believe it or not, there are solutions that can be profiting, long term or short term and very rewarding while doing it.
There are job markets out there, that many are trying desperately to tap into, but it’s become hard for many to do what they see someone else already doing. For those who are well educated and hold one or more degrees in computer related fields, business fields, educational fields and marketing fields; jobs are easy to be obtained. But what about those of us who don’t have numerous degrees and can’t afford to go back to school and live off student loans (if one can even get approved for one) until graduation, to even get one of those “Lucky” jobs. What are we to do?
Going online turns up very few jobs. Career Builder, Monster and many other sites, are not no where near crammed with employers looking for employees like they were two years ago. But after rigorous searches and several hours of turning up nothing but dead ends, what else is there? I’ll tell you, I asked myself that for months! I got so frustrated and began to think there was no end in sight and that I was just going to end up in a deep dark hole of debt, worse than what I have now. I know many of us have been there too.
Finally I heard about career opportunities that gave me just a small sliver of hope at having a little something to look forward to. We’ve all hear about Amway, Avon, Mary Kay and Tupperware, and maybe even at one time tried to sell their products. Then became disappointed later, when we failed at being successful, you might’ve even just gave up and said to yourself, “this just isn’t working for me, it’s not for me!” let me ask you something though, and think about it. Did you actually give it a chance, or did you work only five hours a week hoping that you’d get this big sale every week and live happily ever after in a few short years?

Oh My, I have done Tupperware, Avon, and other direct sales and to tell you the truth I never made more than gas money.Maybe I just don’t have the personality for sales, but I tried as hard as anybody could.I do much better at writing, thank goodness.
