Making Your Office a Better Place to Work
Working for pleasure feels good but might not be so profitable. Working for profit might not be very comfortable, unless you make your workplace a better place to live in.
- Turn on the music! It’s scientifically proven that music: Increases muscle growth in athletes that listen to it while training, increases concentration during exams, increases your intelligence while reading, boosts your brain power, relaxes you enabling you to make better decisions… and the list goes on. Music is really amazing and the thing that triggers most emotions in your mind. Music is all about emotion and human beings are all about emotions. How to listen to music while you work? Simple, tune a good internet radio and let it play. Just make sure you have unlimited bandwidth or the internet bill will be too high! Just make sure it’s a turn on and forget system, else you are always spending time choosing the songs.
- Fresh air is good for your body health and to your mind health. It’s proven too, fresh air has less pollution in it, less carbon dioxide, more oxygen and keeps your brain active for longer. If you use air conditioning, turn it off and open the window instead. Your wallet, the environment and your health will thank you every day.
- Good smells trigger good emotions which help you work better. Try some products you see for cars in your office and make it a better place to smell!
- Comfort will keep you focused for longer. If you work in a non comfortable chair, you will lose your focus very quickly. Your focus will go directly from your brain to the part of the body in pain.
- Make some smart pauses. You do not need to stop working, you just need to change the way you work, sometimes you can make a pause by going to the social security or the post office. Different tasks to rest different muscles.
- And at last, make sure you have a wide and big screen. The bigger the icons and the letters, the less effort you need to make.
