Making Your Passion Your Job
by When you make your passion something you can make money out of then suddenly you don’t have a job, because a job is something that you go to and leave at the end of the day.
A job is something you are assigned to do, and you are rewarded at the end of it. When you are paid for your passion, your life and work are intertwined and time isn’t separated anymore between these too demands.
Time usually doesn’t matter so much as when you are living out your passion; you don’t mind spending time on it, and of course getting paid for it makes it so much better. For instance, if you love making people feel better, and it’s something that gives you so much of a good feeling that you do it in your spare time outside of your usual job. You could train to become a counsellor and be self employed or start by working for someone. When your job is your passion, life becomes easier and more fruitful. You become more fulfilled in what you do because you have a purpose and that purpose is aligned with your values.
So find out what you can do to make your passion and your work the same thing. How can you monetize your passion, so that it gives others value and brings an income to you. Why not brainstorm some ideas, starting with a list of things you love doing and think about how you could earn a living doing those things.
