Mock Interview Process Summary
This is a mock interview that I was put through in High School. I was taking the role of the boss that had to decide what employee to hire. I was given guidelines what to evaluate the employee on while on the interview. The interview was not individually done by each student instead there were a small group of student for each interview. They combined their scores and thoughts a decision was made based on the combined evaluation.
Clint P. Beeler
I want to interview Clint B. Peeler because of the following reasons. His resume was well organized but it had a word spelled incorrectly and it was light blue paper which is sometimes considered “unprofessional”. Mr. Beeler’s attended Community College of Allegheny County. Mr. Beeler has a Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate. Certified in CPR. He also has a American Red Cross First Aid Certification. For high school he went to Pittsburgh Area High School. Mr. Beeler volunteered at the American Red Cross Blood Drives as an administrative staff and also the hometown soup kitchen on Sundays. He did dinner preparation and clean-up. He has computer skills as well. The good reasons to hire him are because he has worked this job before and may want to come back for good to his job. He also obviously has the skills for this job if he has a certificate to do this exact job. The bad things about Mr. Beeler is that he worked this job before and when he did he only stayed for a year so he might only stay for a year with this job.
Interview evaluation: Clint P. Beeler
After the interview I decided to not hire Clint P. Beeler because he had less experience than the other candidate. He did have a certificate directly for this job though. He has worked in this field before. He was early for the interview and looks like he came prepared for the interview. He answered all the questions I asked him and the questions my other group members gave him. Most of my questions got answered by his response to my previous questions so I didn’t many questions to ask him overall but I still got enough information from him. Had no questions after the interview was finished. Some of my teammates said the was glaring during the interview and shaking the whole time.
Decision
I decided not to hire Clint because he did not have as much experience as the other candidate for the job. Clint although did have a certification he earned in college for this job specifically. He also worked this job before then left after year there’s a chance he may do that again. He seemed like he just wanted a job and this just happen to be open.
