My Job Search
by A brief description of my experience while job searching.
Well let me start by saying that I hate being unemployed and I will be glad when I find a means of gainful employment.
The search itself has been a blur of applying on-line, waiting for responses, going to interviews, taking those truly annoying assessment tests that ask you the same question in 3 or 4 different ways and getting responses that the position is closed or no longer available. Not to mention the jobs that want YOU to send THEM money to get started. Unbelievable!!!
E.D.D is driving me nuts with the forms either being incorrect, incomplete, sent in too soon or too late or just getting lost in the mail. It seems like they do it on purpose. Its amazing how much of a hassle you get to receive money you’ve already put in on.
This seems to be the time when employers can seriously pick and choose who they want to work for them as well as a prime time to lay people off and hire new folks. I think that’s why myself and the rest of this nation’s unemployed are truly having a hard time finding a job. Employers seem to be firing more than hiring.
But these are just my own thoughts and observations on the subject.
If you have experienced some of the same “Adventures In Job Searching”….I’m sure its more than just a coincidence.
