Promoted to Backyard Entrepreneur

When you lose your job, you get that empty feeling, as if the world suddenly ended. Most times it ended for you. That I have to tell you; is simply a point of view. You think it’s not? If you are still running around to find another job so your life can have meaning again then you are missing something.
Being without a job is actually a promotion. You get promoted to being able to do what you always wanted to. Granted that finding a way to get it done is hard work – sometimes it is harder work than simply having a job. If you are willing to take on the challenge though losing your job has just promoted you to freedom.
You now have the freedom to express yourself in any way you choose. You can now sit down and decide what to do with the rest of your life and how. That is what I did. I decided to become a writer and to start a small nursery. I became an entrepreneur, doing something; I might add that I knew very little about. Yet I was now free to do so.
So that is now my new position: Backyard Entrepreneur.
