Saturday. Did you think it’s a weekend? Nope! You herd deers.
Sunday. You know what you’re doing, yes? Right. You herd deers.
You have only one day off in the whole year – the day when geologists arrive, and you exchange some deers for vodka. In your “house” the following is waiting for you: a scary and ugly wive, seven hungry children, the geologist’s horrid vodka, and salted deer meat for dinner. You wash only twice during your whole life: at birth and after death. You have never seen or felt warm water. A real treat for you are the berries that your children pick.
If you are a bad herder, you will die of hunger…
Now compare that kind of live with what you have now. Be happy. Cry of joy. Hug your colleagues and give each of them a present. Thank your boss for his or her wiseness and good attitude. Thank your family and friends, because you have them. And finally, thank yourself – for not have become a reindeer herder in Greenland… And stop wasting your time.
