Six Horrible Jobs in Canada and What They Pay
Six of the worst jobs I think Canada has to offer and what their pay rates are.
Finally the metal is put on around the edges of the building to give it a better seal and appearance, then the gravel is placed out evenly and thinly so water can drain evenly instead of sitting in one spot. Again hard work and I enjoyed it very much but the downsides are you can be burned badly, you can fall, weather affects how much you work, and the smoke from the melting tar can badly damage your lungs. The pay rate on this job various depending on your experience, the size of the job and company and how fast you work. A laborer will usually start out around $12 an hour to $15 and a more experience roofer might get anywhere between $25 an hour to $35 for starting.
6. Porta Potty Cleaner
No matter where you go in the world, eventually you’ll be able to find a company that specializes in this kind of work. I myself have never tried this line of work nor do I think I will be in the future, no matter how well it pays.
Welcome to the job of the porta potty cleaners. First, we all know what a porta potty is right? Well for those who don’t, its those portable bathrooms you find a major sporting events and fairs that are usually green and smell really bad. Well the cleaners job starts with them putting on a suit “Of Course” to minimize the exposure to the human feces and other waste contained with the holding tank. First the cleaners remove all clumps of toilet paper or other waste that’s been shoved down in the tank then the feces is vacuumed out.
Usually there’s waste on the walls and the cleaners always find urine on them to so they spray every surface with a degreasing agent, then scrubbed it down good and wash it out with hot water and a pressure sprayer. After it dry’s the cleaners give it a quick spray down with a scented solution to neutralize the cleaning agent smells. A professional cleaner can finish one porta potty in 3 minutes depending on the mess and upwards to 50 a day. The annual pay is about $50,000 plus full benefits depending on the area and experience.

And this is why I have respect for the common worker. They get don’t get enough respect/money for doing things some of us would never imagine doing, and for the most part, they do it without complaining.
I’m just saying, people who look down on others because of what they do for a living (and I’m not talking about QUESTIONABLE jobs/careers), are just plain douchebags. RESPECT your fellow [working] peers; they are still contributing to society.
