The Administration Has 16 Months to Convince Voters They Have a Plan
Examining the GOP proposal to be published on June 23, 2011 as a job creation plan.
The natives are very restless. With only 16 months of the 48 left before election time again, they have a right to be restless. The Obama administration campaigned last time on one word…Change! But they grabbed the football and ran the wrong way!! While closing in on a full term for the president, they are still headed for the disaster goal. Unemployment is still running much higher than they promised it would ever reach. The polls show clearly that a clean sweep will be made by the conservatives in November 2012, barring a prompt reversal of the field and record breaking 100 yard dash in the right direction. Which is very unlikely.
The big shift in voters preferences which occurred in 2010, fortunately, has enlightened a few. But not nearly enough to reverse the stampede. The Democrat majority has yet to disclose any form of a workable plan. Their only plan is, more of the same. More wasted stimulus dollars, more ramming legislation through which will destroy still more jobs and cause higher prices. More taxes, more borrowing, more unjust cuts in Social Security and Medicare. The $500 billion reduction in Medicare which is supposed to be from elimination of waste and fraud. But what they are getting is a mass exodus of physicians to the plan, leaving mostly those in fraudulently operated schemes.
They can no longer wrongly blame George W. Bush for the economy collapse, even though it was never his. The collapse began under the oversight of his last two years of Democratic majority in the congress. Plus the Freddie and Fannie fiasco under the crooked oversight of Dodd and ????, both Democrats.
However, after the almost three years of failures and tripling of our indebtedness, and the ramming down the throats of voters, highly undesired bills and angering many of them, the administration still has a stubborn following who would rather see the nation go under than to be shown wrong. They still have a squeaky chance of not losing all of their control. How? Simply by listening to some of their arch-enemies IDEAS. They have none of their own, so why not listen to the possibilities available. The Republicans in control of the House, are working…hard. They are trying to formulate a plan which will get the economy rolling again.
And the fact is, their plans are workable. If enough Democrats get behind these ideas they can salvage a little of the credibility they once held. It appears that there are some of the newer ones who won recently based on their moderate ideas, who indeed will become a part of the rescue team. If these things can get passed, not only will the creators of the ideas be commended but those who voted for them will also be virtually assured of re-election.
