The Lazy Worker

A worker is an asset in a company and comprises the fundamental unit to meet the quality production desired by the company.

Workers are greatly in demand in a company for so many reasons esp that they are the foundation of the business.

What if you mistakenly hired a lazy worker?

A lazy worker is one who doesn’t want to work, rather, always tries to pass his tasks to others. He kills the time by slowly doing a task. Wasting the time is also wasting the company’s resources, isn’t it? An investment of hiring such employee will pull down the business.

He is a candidate to a boring and not an efficient boss.  He prefers to have a lot of subordinates to pass the tasks to. He spends most of the time interacting with people from other departments whom he personally finds interesting, leaving the tasks and minute times to others. He thinks making good personal relationship like this will create a good environment and will make his job easier. On the contrary, behind him are people verbalizing their concerns regarding his attitude at work. At his back, people find him boastful yet inefficient. A higher percentage of these people are his subordinates and those coming from other departments whom he handed his tasks to.

As an employer or a high rank employee, we must be aware and must hear the concerns of our employees. After all, they are the ones truly running the business. Without them, there will be no business. But to have a lazy worker around isn’t an option so the best way is to get rid of this kind of employee, and treasure the best ones. It takes time to know, but it’s worth the time to background check, too.
