Top Five Modeling Tips
Have you got a photoshoot coming up? Worried, nervous or just need to know what to expect? Here are the five most important things to remember when you’re modeling…

- Believe in yourself. If you don’t believe you can do something, it makes it 100 times more difficult to achieve what you’re aiming for. Believe that you can be a great model, and you will be!
- Be interested. If you’re going on a promotional photoshoot, know what you’re promoting! You can easily do a free Google search and find out information about what a company does or advertises – they’ll be super-impressed you’ve done your research.
- Follow instructions. The photographer will know exactly what he or she is doing. If you’re not sure, just make sure you’re paying careful attention to everything they’re saying.
- Use your imagination. If you have to be in character, get into your role and be imaginative about it. It will help make the photos looking fantastic.
- Have fun. If you’re enjoying yourself, you’ll find it much easier to look natural and relaxed, and that really is the most important thing!

Hi Lauren,
Those are some really good tips, do you think that competitions would be useful? I think that the exposure of winning/being a runner up would be helpful and good experience in itself.
There’s one running now at http://www.dremagirlscotland.com which I have already entered and will be keeping your advice in mind.
It’s to show Scotland’s natural beauties and the prize is a contract which is very exciting!
