Unfair Tipping
Theory of tipping fairly.
Imagine you are going to your favorite resturant. You wait to be seated; once at the table youlook at the menu. You look at all your choices and you mouth starts to water when you read sizzling shrimp and tender salmon cooked over a wood fire to your liking. Suddenly your fantasy is ended when your waitress comes and ask what you would like to drink and are you ready to order. 30 minutes later you look down at your table with a satisfied grin to notice a white plate with nothing but a few crumbs left. You ask for check and see the amount pull out your wallet to go pay at the register. You return to your table about to pull out the tip, when it suddenly hits. Why?
I set before you a likely situation of eating out and thinking of paying tip. But have you ever wondered why exactly? I mean yes you tip to be a good person and thank your waiter/ress, but really why?
When I have asked this question to others they simply say because they work at minimum wage and don’t get paid the money they deserve. And I see this point, I really do. Most people don’t get paid the money the deserve and some get paid for taking others work. However I have a sister; she works at OSH and as you can imagine she also gets paid minimums wage. But I have never seen someone tip a worker at walmart, target, etc. So why a waiter/ress?
Just because you are a waiter/ress doesn’t mean you work harder than others. And you do have a right to choose your own job. So if one is harder than another you are free to switch. So aren’t we being unfair not tipping those for the same amount of pay as those as a waiter/ress? Now I understand we can’t tip every worker we come in contact to but I’m just saying shouldn’t we be fair?
I will admit I do tip waiter/ress, and I will also admit I have never tipped a worker at walmart. But all I’m saying is shouldn’t we be fair to the American working wo/man and either give a better chance of getting a tip for all workers and no at all.

Actually, not all waitress work for minimum wage. A lot of place take into account tips and try to make it so after regular wage and tips are counted in its then equals minimum wage. Also if a restaurant expects enough tips they don\’t pay their waitress a regular wage at all and they rely solely on tips.
