Were You Born to Freelance?

Being a business proprietor I sometimes find it difficult when using the term freelancer. First, i want to say I totally respect the term. This is I battle with the idea of telling my clients we are a freelance small business owner. If you ask me, the term freelance, sometimes signifies that and we don’t want any lasting commitments. Totally not the case for freelancers. Us thrive for the notion of being a freelancer AND long lasting commitments with his clients. That could be us!

As I was working within my regular job I craved having the capacity to do things freely. Work that originated new ideas would be a limited concept plus the word micromanage ran rampant. I felt i always will make the matter better by getting creative within my internal thinking to outlive those non-creative days at your workplace. I became sick and tired of overhearing my co-worker discuss his baby mama drama or the outcomes of his blood tests as a result of his baby mama drama. Also the coworker who sits for the phone back with her bff right through the day discussing the new guy within the cube close to us. I disliked office politics. Maybe I’d been more sensitive than most but it was hard to get work done if you had no walls and believed people (bosses and employees) have been bullies or jerks. This was the same as the playground the government financial aid school, without the fun monkey bars.

The rule where we were will no longer permitted to focus on music at your workplace. Yes, to me this is nuts in fact it is challenging believe you will find companies that enforce this rule in this digital age. So with the above things, I daydreamed much about working for myself. I’d actually request permission. I started to think; maybe I was born to telecommute? Therefore I worked from your home as often as my day job would let me. I loved it. Occasionally drowning out of the sound of my dog (or baby) and blaming it on someone walking down the hall in this office. No-one that I spoke with even knew I’d been at your home. I did start to realize I actually craved a pair of things. One was working from home as well as was having more freedom to make my work area to ensure I became as productive as it can be. I truly do find myself missing the camaraderie, when i made some amazing connections and friendships while I worked in the traditional office.
